  1. I do hope to see Creator expand to more broader horizons as far as fantasy and sci-fi genres go. Returning to the subject of Aquazone, I had thought of an idea for a crossover between Aquazone and the Sky-fi/Adventurers theme I proposed on the previous page. If such a theme like I earlier proposed were launched and successful enough to continue a second year, perhaps the next storyline could revolve around the theme's main characters investigating the mystery of the Devil's Triangle in the Pacific Ocean, where they find a sunken Polynesian civilization's portal device responsible for the vortex. This hypothetical wave could feature many wild seaplanes and even submersible fighter planes (similar to the ones featured in Sky Captain and World of Tomorrow pictured below). Perhaps the villainous baron of the prior wave could return seeking the device with a Dieselpunk-ish helicarrier. I wouldn't expect minifigures for such a set either, but I'm rather surprised we haven't seen any Steampunk archetypes for any of the CMSs so far.

  3. That is impressive! The Pearl Gold does work great in replacement of plain old yellow.
  4. Also, 2016's Ninjago Skybound wave was a sort of steampunk/sky-fi hybrid, which was even well received by non-fans of Ninjago. Yeah, I mentioned that Level 4 MBA set in a comment I made on @Ondra's Creator/Creator Expert Wishlist thread proposing a similar sort of set for Creator.
  5. Actually, the choice between the S7 Galaxy Trooper and the S13 Paleontologist was a rather hard one for me.
  6. Hey @Nabii! There was something I was wondering about today I thought you might be able to reveal, but if it is too confidential to disclose, that's alright. Are there any other genres or hybrid themes that may have been tested (cyberpunk, mecha, dieselpunk, post apocalypse, etc.) that also did not test well with kids? It would nice to know as a piece of mind for some so that we may know what not to expect for original Lego themes in the near future.
  7. An Atlantan Warrior! Cool, can't wait too see your upcoming work!
  8. Lots of love so far for the Rocket Boy! I didn't think much of the figure initially (as with all costumed characters) until we saw the torso print.
  9. I've found a few projects that are worth mentioning, and I would post the heading photos of each, but they are too large to paste multiple of in a single post. This project by teljesnegyzet named History of LEGO Castle is a small but nice, compact creation representing Castle's evolution throughout the decades in the form of miniature castle turrets for the theme's 40th anniversary in 2018. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/077c03b8-0fe3-4e49-8d83-79271ac6f9e8 Another very nice Art Deco project by rh1985moc named 1930s Department Store and Hotel is a beautiful gold and Dark Azure (I think, I love Dark Azure ) modular with great ornamentation and a well done minimalist clocktower. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/25d384af-c22e-4b95-843d-43dea87dcaaa This behemoth project by Bubot64 named Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Mole's Digger is a very impressive Dieselpunk-esq mining vehicle that somewhat reminds me of the Power Miners Thunder Driller from 2009 but in a more retro, antique way. Most recommended! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/00d7ac07-6f08-423d-891e-16d178a85c7f
  10. It's great to see the new curved arch piece done in red, since that part is one of the reasons I loved the Beetle (along with all that Dark Azure)! But other than that, yeah, what is it about it? Something's lacking in the model which for some reason looks blah. Oh, I just noticed the text above the windshield reads Brickston.
  11. I frequent the site Screen Rant for film news on occasion, and I saw this opinion piece arguing why TLBM is the best Batman movie ever in fifteen reasons, which I thought made some very good points. http://screenrant.com/why-lego-batman-movie-best-film/
  12. That is one great value! A $30 set with 494 pieces at 6.1 cents a part. WOW!
  13. Hey, I really like the rounded back and front "grill", gives the starfighter an automobile sort of look.
  14. Oh, well, I don't know anything. That is just my guess, but I really couldn't see the D2C being a Fortress of Solitude type set.
  15. My guess would be that it would only be a $20-$25 minifigure heavy set, similar to 2015's Double Decker Couch for TLM. It perhaps would have 5 to 6 figures composed mostly of more obscure Leaguers such as the Wonder Twins and Apache Chief.
  16. Ha! That's quite... different. It would be interesting to see more crossover craft like this.
  17. I was contemplating two particular ideas for Creator subthemes today, one of them done for Expert sets but not for regular sets; the other never before done for either. The first idea would be for a locomotive subtheme composed of sets hovering around the $50-$70 range. For example, such a set within this subtheme could hypothetically be a 3 in 1 build including a tank engine build, a shunter diesel engine build, and a steam tram build. These sets would include no track but still be done in the "L Gauge" scale, and would include instructions for modifications of the builds to incorporate Power Functions. The second idea would be for a mini medieval village modular subtheme, made up of sets around the $40-$60 range. They would each sit on a 16 by 16 baseplate as a modular standard and usually be only two stories tall. They would each feature two to three minifigures who, although the Creator theme does not usually do this, would be original designs/new prints. The figures would widely range across feudal classes, from peasants to merchants to nobles.
  18. The S3 Pilot and S3 Space Villain are definitely all time favorites for me!
  19. Hey @ScotNick! I was just looking at your expired Ideas project, which is a most excellent model that did have some good headway as far as support goes. Would you ever again consider submitting another project? Particularly, I really think your model of the LBSCR E2 tank engine (Thomas's locomotive inspiration) may be successful on Ideas.
  20. Well, this now makes a lot of sense! In a press release for TLNM sets, Lego stated that Garmadon's walking shark mech (presumably) would be released as a set for December this year, effectively placing the winter 2018 wave a month ahead for release for Christmas. Many are speculating the same is being done for the third TLBM wave.
  21. Also, Dimensions was used as an outlet for licenses that projects Ideas rejected were based upon. Now we seem to have no such outlet for future rejected project licenses. But maybe we'll just have to wait and see.
  22. OK, thanks! Didn't know that since most people and references including Wikipedia credit the character as Godzilla. By the way, which Marcos Bessa interview are you speaking of?
  23. I know this more of a question for the movie discussion instead, but seriously, was that four armed lizard monster in the film really supposed to be Godzilla? It almost seemed like it was like a generic replacement for the character after licensing negotiations hypothetically fell through for the character's appearance.
  24. Regarding what @Wesley D asked about a new modular line, it could just be that it has been designed that way to attach to others' more fitting custom modular MOCs. Maybe I'd be surprised, but this modular does not seem like it would flesh well with the Creator line, so maybe we could see more fitting modulars introduced in other themes. Interestingly, @just2good said recently to expect some sort DC D2C next year, leading some to speculate that it could be a TLBM Gotham City modular in line with the Ninjago City one. If that is the case, perhaps we could see a succession of Lego Cinematic Universe modulars done for future movies, such as 2019's TLM2 and The Billion Brick Race.
