Survey: New parts and new colors
Digger of Bricks replied to Bonaparte's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Wow! I've analysed all the new Flying Fox official images, and I completely missed this! Well, perhaps I just wasn't looking for something like that, since I'm mostly interested in superficial, cosmetically enhancing parts. The blog New Elementary is going to be all over this piece, perhaps he will even start a part contest around it. -
LEGO Nexo Knights 2017 Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
While the fate of the theme has yet to be ascertained, would it be too crazy to suggest that Lego could maybe help save Nexo Knights by doing a crossover Ninjago/Nexo Knights theme? Perhaps it would be more like a crossover under the Ninjago name, and hypothetically, we would see such a wave for summer 2018 after the second TLNM wave and a hypothetical wrap up wave for Nexo Knights. I know there is nothing to suggest that, but what would you think of such a crossover? -
Did anyone notice Penguin's umbrella near the rear entrance? Also, the biscuit advertisement with the depiction of brick built biscuits is cute.

DC Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
For one, the Atlantis set has really grown on me, not so much as a complete set but for its part usage possibilities. The set is mostly composed of simple Sand Green Bricks and even a few Sand Blue ones also, which are nice too add to your rarer color collection. For $20, you get four decent figures, two of them the Atlantian guards which I myself have grow much fonder of. Particularly, I think the Art Deco print designs on their torso and legs could repurpose nicely for a Maria-esq android from Fritz Lang's Metropolis. No, I'm pretty sure it is. They are I think back to back just like 2014's 75046 Coruscant Police Gunship, where the canopy was first introduced in Trans. Red.- 3,020 replies

DC Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
They were originally from 2009's CW Grievous' starfighter, where the part was first introduced in printed Trans. Black. Now I know that you can get the canopy unprinted in that color from the 2011 Alien Conquest ADU Jetcopter. LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Uh, a CMS made up of minifigure representations of famous Lego designers would be Awesome! -
I guess Lego has been teasing the reveal of 10258 on their Twitter account according to this Brickset article, so we should be seeing official images soon. https://brickset.com/article/28959/lego-in-london

LEGO Ninjago 2017 Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Still no second trailer for the movie, but this? I just presumed we would see the trailer attached to Despicable Me 3 releasing tomorrow, after not seeing one last week despite the poster unveil. -

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, I'm expecting reveals for at least one set for TLBM, maybe a regular set and perhaps all three Mighty Micros of DC like last year, if that will continue as a trend. -
The S17 Retro Space Hero is the figure I've waited for forever! But, to pit him against the S6 Intergalactic Girl? Ouch, this is definitely a tough one for me. Unfortunately, I just had to side with Retroman.

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Digger of Bricks replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I had this wacky idea today for a construction based space theme, made up of large cargo heavy hauler dropships and wielding mechs, all under the premise of spacebase construction. The color scheme of the utility vehicles I visualized would perhaps be Flame Yellowish Orange and Black with Trans. Bright Orange canopies. I think the name of this theme should be... Constructron. But seriously, you really can't inject a conflict based plot into such a theme, so something like this might never see the light of day, for now that is. Shifting gears now, here's something to ponder. What would a girls' minidoll space theme look like, and what do you think about the plausibility of the Friends theme going into space? Eurobricks user @rodiziorobs was talking about this recently in @Peppermint_M's Future Action and Adventure Themes thread, and it got me thinking. Perhaps Friends could have a space tourism subtheme made up of luxury commercial space shuttles and space stations with hotel accommodations, since after all, the theme's main characters seem like they have rich parents. As far as an entire minidoll space theme goes, I could see a storyline revolving around a young female space colonist and her adventures exploring her new home with her newfound native extraterrestrial friends and fellow colonists. At least such a theme might yield some unique spacecraft, perhaps with some throwbacks and references to classic space themes.- 991 replies

Ohh, that looks much better! I saw this when first posted, and, although it was nice and complexly built, it seemed too flattened I thought. But shaving a stud's length off the base has made it perfect. Thumbs up!

Victorian Townhouse with 1920s' MOON motor car
Digger of Bricks replied to Murdoch17's topic in LEGO Town
Wow, this is really nice! I almost think this could pass as a Creator set, and the touring car, though simple, looks perfect. What is the total part count of the house and car combined, and what are the base dimensions of the house? -
The Best LEGO Superheroes Minifigure Round 1.29
Digger of Bricks replied to VaderFan2187's topic in LEGO Licensed
Red Skull and TLBM Mr. Freeze were my picks. Red Skull, because he's the closest thing to a commanding Nazi officer in official minifigure form, and Mr. Freeze primarily because of that new armor piece that pairs with the dome part. I hope to see that armor used for either a 1950's retro space explorer CMF or an Ogel inspired supervillain CMF, since those shoulder pads resemble his so much. OK, that was quite off topic. -
2017 City Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
You would still have the "diaper" prints even if the legs were given a red hip piece instead. But unprinted dual molded red/black legs could be repurposed for many other characters, such as Tim Drake Robin for instance. -
2017 City Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
Since the advent of dual molded minifigure legs in 2015, I hoped Lego would have featured a Santa minifigure with unprinted red and black legs for boots. The Disney CMS's Mr. Incredible had introduced them, but with those ugly "diaper" prints. -
Creator and Creator expert wishlist
Digger of Bricks replied to Ondra's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Well, the closest Lego has gotten to anything military was 2001's 3451 Sopwith Camel and its 2012 remake set no. 10226. Yes, there are many military fighter planes that would make for some amazing Expert Series sets, but Lego still does and I think is better off straying away from any military related material. But I think, in lieu of real life examples, Lego should instead produce more fictionalized fighter planes for Creator and other themes too avoid resembling actual military aircraft, making them "flights of fantasy" instead. I've showcased some great MOC examples of "Sky-fi" fighter planes by Flickr user Jonhall18 on the previous page of this thread, which, despite being original designs, still carry a serious feel to the creation. Now Lego has done some very nice, although colorful, large airplane sets in recent years for Creator, such as 2015's 31039 Blue Power Jet and 2013's 31011 Aviation Adventures. Along with Space, yes, Lego should definitely consider Castle for both Creator and/or Creator Expert if a entire theme is not viable at the time. But for that matter, as I've stated many times elsewhere before, Creator can be used as an outlet for so much more. -
MOC: Elves, Ragana's Shadow Tower
Digger of Bricks replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
YIKES! That is quite something! I do wish I could have seen this in person at Brickworld, and I really like the lilac brick work. Now that basement scene though... -
Hey @vynsane! I'm sorry about bumping a six year old topic, but I found your thread and was excited to see your work on this; but your instruction links from 2Shared.com are stated as "not valid" and are no longer there. Do you have another file hosting site where you have posted these instructions? Thanks!

OK, thanks a lot! I was tinkering around with an embedded topic thinking there was a way to focus the embed on a particular post, but it's much easier than I thought.

By the way, how do you quote a comment from different thread? I've seen users do this in a form that embeds the thread into their comment, but specifically linked to a particular comment from the thread.
