  1. Not as a wishlist, but as a speculative discussion, I would like to ask anyone what do you plausibly think will be the next exploration subtheme for City this summer, if we definitely are expecting another such subtheme?
  2. Also, you could pop out the Bat-Spaceshuttle's Trans-yellow window (part no. 18908, pictured below) and place it into the Earth Blue colored version of the shuttle front part (part no. 18907, pictured below also) from 2015's 60096 Deep Sea Operation Base (pictured below). Since that shuttle hull part doesn't yet come in Bright Blue, Earth Blue can be an "evolved" alternative to be utilized on a Classic Space styled space shuttle MOC.
  3. I certainly hope to hear of some more details on both TLM2 and The Billion Brick Race at the SDCC panel for TLNM. Regarding the question I posed earlier about other licenses and themes appearing in the sequel, I plausibly could see characters from Scooby Doo or other Hanna Barbera franchises making at least cameo appearances, since after all, they are WB properties which easily could be incorporated into the film. Other "big bang" themes could make a much more prominent presence beyond references and cameos, such as Nexo Knights, especially since the theme will continue on for at least another year. Given the discontent over the theme from traditional castle fans, perhaps it would be fun to see this parodied by depicting a battlefield scene pitting the Nexo Knights against classic Lego castle knights. Now I'm not so sure how @x105Black would feel about that.
  4. As in Art Deco is considered too ugly by most? Is that the reason you cited the Palace Cinema? Personally, I think that monument was pretty awesome in the film, I just wish I could find a better picture of it, since I remember seeing a broad daylight picture of it as a sticker backdrop for TLBM sticker collection book.
  5. Well, the S13 Evil Wizard is certainly flying past the S15 Kendo Fighter, but overall, most historical/fantasy themed CMFs have been doing pretty well against the rest. But to me, the Evil Wizard seems more Ming the Merciless than Saurman, so does that make him more of a sci-fi character?
  6. I could see such a modular having a miniaturized build of the Olive Green colored public monument seen in the city center in the film. I really couldn't find a picture of the it from the movie, but for reference, I have posted below here the concept art of it from the film companion book.
  7. While I've said before I personally would not be interested in a HP/FB CMS, there is one good usage I could see coming out of at least a FB CMS, and that is plenty of characters in 1920's period set attire. One thing that was great about the sets from Disney's Jerry Bruckheimer film themes (POTC, The Lone Ranger, and Prince of Persia), was that their minifigures were in a very realistic, gritty style that otherwise would not have been seen in figures from an original, similarly period set theme. So if we were to get a FB CMS, you certainly would be able to exploit some great period set torsos/legs for reusage.
  8. Well finally, the NF-15B Research Aircraft by Mammalucco has passed the 10K milestone, making this only the fourth project for the Second 2017 Review Stage so far. http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-ideas-nf-15b-research-aircraft-achieves-10000-supporters/ Oh yeah, I forgot all about that.
  9. So wait a minute, are all those photos from that link to the site Blacktronite real unreleased set photos? I recognize the Seatron and Europa set pictures, but have never even seen the rest of those! I mean, train set prototypes?!
  10. Another runner? Nice, perhaps you will be a trendsetter with this genre here! To me, these runners are to mecha what GARCs are to spacecraft. I certainly hope to see more of these done by others in the future. Now I'm really liking this one's usage of the hot air balloon pieces, giving it a certain sleekness, and the daintiness of the legs are a very nice juxtaposition to the body of the runner. Also, I really like the usage of the radar dishes on the upper legs, something done on the joints of other mecha creations I've seen. It gives the mechs an almost muscular look to them.
  11. Yes, a film production crew subtheme for City would be cool.
  12. When surfing the web for creations, a particular niche space genre I search creations for is the GARC genre, made up of many different, colorful space racecraft. But so far, the three best MOC examples I've seen done are by Flickr user Sylon-tw, which I have shown and linked below. I also consider him a great Sky-fi builder whose work with the genre ranks up there with other previously mentioned Flickr users Jonhall18 and Fredoichi. Here is some of his creations shown and linked below.
  13. I'm having a hard time figuring out how this idea is any different from Nexo Knights. Unless you're being sarcastic.
  14. Is that a sonic screwdriver on this engine? No, seriously, you've created a beautiful locomotive that is proportionally perfect, and looks great done in Earth Green. It was also fun seeing it pictured next to the real thing and perched atop the boiler.
  15. Too bad the S10 Warrior Woman is lagging somewhat, she is a interesting CMF, one that suspiciously seems to be inspired by Wonder Woman.
  16. I'm surprised we haven't seen more of Lamborghini for Lego products, but if Speed Champions continues, Lamborghini has to be made for the theme eventually. I hope that the theme will expand beyond six wide minifigure scale cars and come to also make Expert series scale models based upon more current automobiles such as the 2017 Ford GT, the Bugatti Chiron, the Lamborghini Aventador, etc.
  17. Are those the only two you are aware of, or is Lego opting for only two skyline sets next year as opposed to three?
  18. Do you know @Sir von Lego if the Bat-Spaceshuttle comes with rockets and a fuselage like seen in the film? If so, that would be great since it would provide us with part no. 18909 in Black, and the part hasn't been seen since it was first introduced in 2015's 60080 Spaceport in Dark Orange.
  19. Well, perhaps @Sir von Lego would know if we will see a fourth year.
  20. Well look here what @ZCerberus's latest creation has done!
  21. Alpine police? That's cool, though I'd wish we would perhaps get an accompanying alpine search and rescue subtheme, something I've proposed on a new City subtheme discussion before.
  22. I was checking out that list of unreleased sets compiled by Brickset which @Hinckley linked, and I thought these unreleased Creator Designer sets from 2004 were interesting, particularly the last one. 4033 Car, 4034 Aeroplane, 4035 Boat, and lastly 4036 Space Plane. This would have been the first space themed Creator set, had it been released (if that indeed what is was). While I've read on a Brickset thread that there was a monorail concept unsuccessfully tested with kids according to @Nabii, I haven't heard that it was developed for one of the two Mars space themes.
  23. We already did get a Fabuland revival recently. They called it "Legends of Chima".
  24. If these villains turn out to be swamp creatures like some have suggested, then looking at their rumored color scheme, perhaps this band of freaks should dub themselves "Swamptron".
  25. While at first I thought that the canopy seemed proportionally oversized, I did some comparison to the actual thing and I forget how large the cockpit is in comparison to the rest of the jet. Overall, you've done a pretty spot on rendition of Burton's Batwing, and the sideways built wings are excellent! The usage of arches and subtle slopes shape them perfectly, and the angle plates work quite nicely for the venting details! By the way, I've seen you've done a couple very nice James Bond Aston Martins, and I was just wondering if there are any other cinematic cars you have ever considered doing in Lego?
