Do you have any other creation ideas in mind for this genre other than trains? They certainly would be cool to see if so.

Future Marvel Superheroes Rumors & Speculation

By the way, here is the first official image of Spidey's Iron Spider suit from Homecoming, possibly to be seen as a minifigure in Infinity War sets. http://screenrant.com/avengers-infinity-war-homecoming-iron-spider-suit-revealed/ -
2018 Speed Champions Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Rick's topic in LEGO Town
Being subsidiaries of Volkswagen AG, Lamborghini and Bentley are both possible for Lego, but I think Bentley may be a bit too stuffy for the theme. Now as far as Aston Martin goes, it is a privately owned company, though Mercedes has a five percent stake in it thanks to their engine development partnership. Now I can't remember where I have read this, but an Aston Martin DB5 was up for consideration back in 2008 by Lego as a model that was to be voted for by fans against a 1964 Mustang, a VW Beetle, and some other car. The majority of fans voted for the Beetle, so we got 10187 Volkswagen Beetle.- 528 replies

Yes, it definitely reminded me of that piece; but still, it's rather unusual. To me, it looks something like a space Spartan helmet. It would help to know if it has dimples on the sides to clip a visor on, and what was that clip on the top of the mold intended for?

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Digger of Bricks replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I just looked at those images, and yes, I'm pretty sure myself that those are stickers! Otherwise, prints would have covered the edges, so this is great news. Looking at Kylo's TIE, I think it might be a print since the graphic seems to stretch to the edges.- 991 replies

Hmm, I haven't posted at all in the Bazaar forum, but I have posted a few times in the past on this thread before. So maybe those posts from then have only now been discounted.

Does anyone here know of any information regarding 2018 Juniors sets? Along with Creator, the theme is of interest to me for that year due to the System's 60th anniversary and the 40th anniversary of the minifigure and traditional Space and Castle.

2018 Speed Champions Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Rick's topic in LEGO Town
Well, certainly not for 2018, since @Sir von Lego has said we would be getting two Fords, two Ferraris, and two Porsches for that year. But hey, perhaps we will get a single summer set like we did with the McLaren.- 528 replies

Those are some other posts I made, which were successfully counted, but in between those this morning there were three other posts I had made that weren't counted. So with those and one that wasn't counted last night, my post count should be at 598. Again, it's not a big deal, but just unusual.
-
These are all very nice and clean, I really like your construction of the taillights for the Supra and the NSX!
-
Not really a biggy, but strange nonetheless, I've noticed that four of my posts starting last night have not been counted on my content total. One post in particular was not counted last night as my 586th post, instead remaining at 585 in the content count. I just dismissed it as a glitch, but this morning, three other posts I made were not counted.

Which AFOL Builders do you Admire or Aspire After?
Digger of Bricks replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in Community
One of the most impressive CAD designers of Lego creations I've seen is Flickr user dunkleosteus_ldd, who creates some great Dieselpunk/Retrofuturistic designs, especially in the form of hovercars. Here I have pictured below a few of his wild looking trikes and streamlined locomotives. https://www.flickr.com/photos/dunkleosteus_ldd/albums/72157661963290481 Also, last but not least, here are some of his incredible hovercars pictured and linked below! https://www.flickr.com/photos/dunkleosteus_ldd/albums/72157652694595161 I should also give special mention to @Sunder, whose rendering work is also most excellent; and I particularly really dig his collection of Retrofuturistic locomotives, which I hope to see more of!- 29 replies

I often forget about the Simpsons, perhaps it's just because I block it out. Lego really never should have done the Simpsons license, not to mention the minifigures all used ugly "not Lego" heads.

2018 Speed Champions Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to Rick's topic in LEGO Town
Thinking about it now, perhaps the second Ford set will be a $30 Mustang race set, similar to 2016's 75874 Chevrolet Camaro Drag Race, with a matchup between a classic and current model.- 528 replies

Why? Just read the last paragraph of my post, merely out of respect for Ole Kirk, who I'm pretty sure would not want to see TLG to head that direction. As far as Deadpool Duck goes, there may be not as much oversight by TLG when it comes to SDCC exclusive's source material, that would be my guess. Now regarding the issue of complex construction techniques, I think we have seen a few good examples of the utilization of such in more recent advanced sets, such as the Lego Ideas Apollo Saturn V Rocket, which I think is quite amazing as far as its construction goes.

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Digger of Bricks replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
The rusted look is kind of a cool idea, something that I could have seen being adopted for Blacktron villains in SP3 sets if the theme continued on, seems like their vibe. Speaking of SP3, you speak of geodesic domes for Friends/minidoll sets, and it makes me think of those Trans-blue quarter dome piece that were recolored from old Paradisa sets in set no. 5985. Not only do I want to see more usage and recoloring of those parts, but I could see them being perfect for a girl's space theme; since after all, those parts were introduced in a girl's theme anyway.- 991 replies

[MOC] Classic Space X-Wing Starfighter "LL 918" MK I
Digger of Bricks replied to freiform's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
If Lego made an X Wing in 1980... Oh, hey, welcome to Eurobricks! I really like seeing a creation box itself in this way, and I do enjoy SW/CS fusion creations like this when they come around! Hey, perhaps we could have MOC contests like this, that utilize only parts made within a certain decade timeframe or period. The results might be interesting! -
Future Marvel Superheroes Rumors & Speculation
Digger of Bricks replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Probably not, but I hope that the Thor figure in the MM set will don a newly molded classic styled hair and helmet piece, like pictured below. But more likely, he'll maybe just have the usual hairpiece or possibly wear the Ragnorok helmet recolored in Light Bluish Grey. In the same fashion, Loki could use his MCU helmet in plain old yellow for a comic look. -

By the way @1974, do you perhaps know what this particular minifigure head might have been made for? Is there a year molded on to it for possible deduction of its usage? Also, do you know anything or at least have any good guesses about this one green helmet part on the bottom left corner of this below posted picture? To me, its design seems to suggest like Lego was toying with a sort of space knights theme back then, kind of like a Nexo Knights of the 1990's. That sure sounds cool, I really would like to see that! I've seen a few of your creations that make usage of that unreleased Trans-yellow version of part no. 45705, which is definitely a part I am quite envious of! Unless it was merely just a test part, I do wonder what that recolor would have been used for.

I believe, that whatever products Lego make that are aimed toward an older market (Technic, Creator Expert, Architecture, UCS scale sets, etc.), that they must also still be appropriate for their target audience (6-11 year olds). So this means that we will never see something such as a Chestburster or other heavy horror related products, and I certainly hope we never will. It's not so much about my personal opinion or preference for that source material, it's that I definitely do not want to see Lego start catering to certain adult markets and interests that otherwise would not at all be suitable for children. Nor would Ole Kirk Christiansen either.

Do you know @whitswj perhaps what this canopy might have been designed in mind for? It sort of reminds me of part no. 47757 first introduced in 2006.

The Future of Lego Space. (opinions, ideas, discussion)
Digger of Bricks replied to Trekkie99's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
We certainly need more canopies in Trans. Green, since it is the least common of the three shades of green for transparents. Now perhaps it is unlikely, but @Sir von Lego had told us that we should be expecting the vehicles for next year's Nexo Knights villains to be in Black and Trans. Green, so I'm hoping some of those come with some canopies of that color.- 991 replies

I've never read the book, but I started hearing about the film adaptation as SDCC was drawing nearer, and was intrigued. Then I saw the trailer and was blown away! The two parts that really got me were Iron Giant's appearance and the usage of that haunting rendition of Pure Imagination in the trailer's first half. By the way, if you have not seen it already, here is an interesting trailer breakdown by Screen Rant that was quite surprising, given I thought I myself had deduced every cameo seen in the trailer. http://screenrant.com/ready-player-one-trailer-references-cameos/
