  1. If we ever see Vision appear in another set in the near future (presumably for non-MCU based one), I could kinda see his next minifigure iteration being done in the newly reintroduced Dark Turquoise instead of Sand Green once again. For instance, just look at the shade of color for his suit in the TV show Avengers Assemble:
  2. You know, if we do indeed see at least one playset done for 2019's Shazam!, I could see the minifigure of its titular character utilizing a White recolor of TLBM Robin's cape:
  3. Perhaps this may not be the case, but I sort of feel that TLG may be trying to passive-aggressively increase the number of submissions based upon original ideas by eventually narrowing down the number of available options for permissible licenses/third-party IPs.
  4. My gosh, that there is one brilliantly bonkers set fusion!!!
  5. I still can't help but think of some sort of retrofuturistic teardrop-shaped rocketcraft every time I see her craft; and yep, upon seeing the official set, I'm still digging it! Oh, and her helmet looks even more retro-esque with that oversized crest from a side profile!
  6. Thanks! Well @Exetrius, I still don't know how even now I could've missed your latest project, but it's pretty darn nifty! I love both your incorporation of that recolored Nexo Knights canopy and the reusage of Psyclone's helmet for its pilot, a part I don't know why they haven't reused/recolored since then.
  7. Well, if I didn't know any better, that would most certainly fool me for a minute there.
  8. Huh, Apocalypseburg eh? I'm kinda really digging that name!
  9. Why no, could you link it?! I don't know how I could've missed a project of yours.
  10. You know, upon reading that leaked information as shared by @Falconfan1414 over on the 2018 BrickHeadz topic, I just had a random thought pop into my head... What if Lego may be quickly utilizing these random licenses for the BrickHeadz theme for one-off purposes, just so they can quickly get them off the table so LEGO Ideas users therefore can't utilize them for project submissions after the fact? It is, after all, easy for them to utilize any franchise for the BrickHeadz theme, as there's most likely less development that goes into each set compared to your typical minifigure-based playset.
  11. Given my thing I have for retrofuturistic "punk" genres (Steampunk, Dieselpunk, DaVinci-Punk, Atompunk, etc), I was recently contemplating which alternate historical setting would be best suited for an original minidoll theme for girls. Well, though it may not quite be an established genre/aesthetic, how about "Nouveau-Punk", a fantastical setting where the Art Nouveau movement pervades nearly every stylistic aspect of man-made creations and construction, much like how Victorian motifs and stylistic sensibilities proliferate the overall look of the Steampunk genre? I'd argue, unlike some other retrofuturistic "punk" genres, that "Nouveau-Punk" wouldn't be as stuffy-looking so to speak, probably taking after the look of this artist's work for instance: JohnCoulthart.com - The Art of Francois Schuiten
  12. Well, our first trailers/teasers for both Aquaman and Shazam have been confirmed to be premiering at SDCC in a few weeks from now, so...
  13. For those interested, @Gbailey46 has submitted another pretty sweet looking CS themed project over on LEGO Ideas that you guys may want to check out: LEGO Ideas - LEGO Galactic Exploration Rover Vehicle
  14. I've never watched the show myself, nor had I ever paid much attention to any of the news or buzz around it at the time of its premiere; but, I do think its titular character looks pretty dang sweet as a minifigure, especially his head printing with those blue-tinted googles. The shows just haven't been merchandised to kids, which I think is more on Warner Brothers part than Lego's.
  15. Besides being a more fantastical creation due to the floating bedrock it sits upon, I just saw this lovely, Dark Red industrial factory build by Liwnik highlighted by the blog ArchBrick: Congratulations, you're most welcome!!! Damn, that's an awesome one to revisit, as I've almost completely forgotten about it! I do wonder if he's progressed any farther along in its construction.
  16. Like most Batcave playsets, I'm pretty sure the Fortress's exterior wouldn't much of an issue at all, as it'd presumably be an interior playset instead. Preferably, a four-story, sixteen-stud wide modular Daily Planet would be cool to see. By modular, I mean a build that'd be compatible with the annual Creator Expert line of D2C Modular Buildings.
  17. Not sure if anyone has mentioned this before, but I believe the CMF Dobby in this series is the first minifigure to have dual-molded short legs divided into two parts instead of three (tan upper, flesh-colored lower, unlike previous short legs which had a differing color injected as a "band" in the middle). So, this most likely means we'll see some stouter minifigures in the future with proper boots. By the way @WhiteFang, do you have any sort of Robin figure on hand? I was wondering if you could apply the unprinted Black mid-sized legs from Neville and Cho onto one, primarily the Daiman variant from both 76013 and 76056.
  18. Say, now that's a lovely looking home! Besides its choice in color of Brick Yellow, Earth Green, Olive Green, and Dark Red, I love its inset corner and how the Earth Blue randomly offsets the Black on the roof in places!
  19. Both the Hall of Justice and the Daily Planet would make for some great opportunities for Lego to give us some serious looking Art Deco architecture, something perhaps within the aesthetic adopted by the animated Superman TV show:
  20. The fourth wall break on the packaging is rather amusing. With now two Deadpool related exclusives in a row, yep, I'd figure that may be TLG's reasoning.
  21. Oh yes, it is indeed a sad truth that's been discussed many times before by many throughout many different discussions at one point or another. Here's a particularly recent topic specifically lamenting that: Personally, I'd LOVE to see a retrofuturistic city theme, something with either a Dieselpunk, Decopunk, or Raypunk aesthetic along the lines of these examples: Pinterest - Dieselpunk/Decopunk Cityscapes and Architectural Inspirations I know it may be yet another fan creation, and not another official example of a set, but have you ever seen this cyberpunk city layout before?
  22. Kinda cool, yet most unusual. Even if those trans-orange canopies were removed as windows, it's a structure that just screams spaceship to me. I really do dig that circular architectural pattern in grey encircling the building above the door!
  23. Yes, very much so! Thanks for sharing that, as I can see that the upper anti-studs are only half of what the original legs' were.
