  1. So, do you guys remember that LEGO Ideas-hosted "Moments in Space" GWP contest that disappointed us all a couple of years ago?
  2. So, the finalized "Coin-Operated Space Ride" GWP set has apparently leaked over on Instagram, and at least it's a touch better than the original submission (for what it's worth).
  3. Well, for me at least, I find these two sets we've seen so far to more be analogously akin to the "quasi-modular buildings" we've seen over the years with Creator's Three-In-One line, rather than actually being a part of the Creator Expert Fairground subtheme to any degree.
  4. Yeah, while last year's rollercoaster had callbacks to Lego's Classic Pirate sets, this "Space" ride instead takes inspiration from '50s B-movie tropes rather than Lego's Classic Space legacy. As for the potential of a Castle-themed ride next year, I could see something medieval dragon-themed more specifically, though I can't immediately think of what sort of ride such a set could be.
  5. Heh, a "flagship" carnival set coming this summer to the Friends theme apparently has some new White and Bright Reddish Violet striped "tattered ship sail" cloth elements!
  6. I see that a few of the sets make generous usage of the new Vibrant Coral color introduced this year! Hmmm, I'm afraid that's just mere background box art, which looks too prominent to the point where it could be potentially deceptive if one's not discriminating enough???
  7. They're there, just scroll a short distance under the IG hashtag's feed.
  8. By the way, this summer's Three-In-One Townhouse set may be of interest to you guys, as a preliminary catalog image has leaked of it alongside two other Three-In-One summer releases!
  9. It's sort of a Space-themed counterpart to last year's Classic Pirates-themed rollercoaster!
  10. Also, there are preliminary images of Summer 2019's Creator Three-In-One sets, with one of them being a '50s, B-movie themed UFO carnival ride that some here may kinda like! So, have you found them or not?
  11. Screen Rant - Ghostbusters 2020 Director Confirms Main Cast, Including McKenna Grace
  12. Well, nonetheless... Screen Rant - Ghostbusters 2020 Director Confirms Main Cast, Including McKenna Grace I don't know, I'm not a Ghostbusters kinda guy, but that Stranger Things' Finn Wolfhard is in this is sorta cool. Perhaps it'll be better than what everyone else had said about the 2016 reboot.
  13. By the way, has anyone here noticed the Dark Purple recolor of TLBM Penguin's top hat in this set? While I've been hoping for a Reddish Brown, Dark Brown, or Light/Dark Bluish Grey recolor of that hat in particular, it's nice to see any recolor of it beyond Black nonetheless!
  14. The three Summer 2019 Three-In-One sets have just leaked as catalog preliminaries, and let me tell you, I don't think the Townhouse in particular is as bad as you guys may have been expecting it to be! Plus, the UFO carnival ride looks like some "Retro-tacular" fun, while the dual-rotor helicopter has angled rotors similar to how the chopper in Agents' 8971 Aerial Defence Unit had done it.
  15. Aw, no King Kong atop the Empire? Seriously though, the larger-scaled ESB is looking good...
  16. IG is Instagram, and it's best to search "Instagram #legoleaks" into Google/Bing.
  17. Well, I'm really digging the six-wheeled rover and the largest shuttlecraft in particular, as their aesthetic direction looks pretty much how I'd expected Lego would handle a "near-futuristic" look! The two smaller shuttles are kinda cool in their own way too, and the incorporation of a faux "monorail" into the flagship set seemingly cements the intention of this entire subtheme as City's indirect love letter to Lego's Classic Space themes of old!
  18. All of City's upcoming "Mars Mission" sets have just leaked on IG as catalog preliminaries. If you ask me, they're a lot more Sci-Fi in aesthetic than you guys may have ever expected from City sets! * * No colored canopies as far as I can tell though.
  19. So, a variety of summer Friends sets have leaked as catalog preliminaries. They all look pretty good, but the "flagship" fairground /amusement park set in particular takes the cake!
  20. So, the sets themselves have leaked apparently. I must say, they're pretty wild-looking for the most part, with a few gimmicky new parts mixed amongst their construction.
  21. On a less historical note, I could see some fans who may take an interest in Lego's old Alpha Team theme wanting to use the new "fishbowl" for Ogel's Mission Deep Freeze Minions to give them a cleaner look. After all, the Insectoid helmet they used was recolored for Lego's first Mr. Freeze figure. Those Earth Green roof part recolors in particular are quite lovely. P.S. I totally overlooked that Dark Purple recolor of TLBM Penguin's tophat!
  22. JANGBRiCKS has a great overview video here for all six sets, with a particular emphasis on all of those unusual grebbley parts ladden throughout!
  23. Given how this Batmobile's "wings" were introduced last year for the Thestral in 75951, I almost wonder if set designers decided that this Batmobile would be based upon the '06 set solely due the introduction of that part, as it is a miniaturized version of the larger Dragon Wing part recolored in Black for the UCS set back then.
  24. Ya know, if Lego wanted to emulate the 2006 UCS Batmobile even further, they should've found a way to incorporate 22483 instead as the windshield for this wave's Batmobile, given how the the 2006 set had what emulated an angled canopy.
