  5. Hey, it's great to see you back around here again after awhile @LegoModularFan!!! Yeah, for as much as I appreciate the Downtown Diner for bringing Art Deco representation to the Modular Building line, it's still very much more akin to the Miami Beach variety of Art Deco in its color scheme, something I just don't have as much inclination towards due to its lack of more earthy, rustic elegance. P.S. For his first time trying his hand at Modulars, @kofi's CC House is just too gorgeously stunning... Alternatively, while the Prairie/FLW style does seem better suited for public/commercial buildings, I think it'd be kinda cool if they could somehow force the American Craftsman look into a Modular Building, as it's historically a style typically reserved for residential constructions instead.
  6. And I hope it stays consolidated as such, as there've been a couple themes this year that have unfortunately broken up their branding towards the route of respective character/sub-franchise branding instead.
  7. I suppose so, though if such a film were successfully pitched to or pitched by a renowned director such as Tim Burton or Wes Anderson with experience in the field of stop-motion, perhaps Warner Brothers would give consideration to such project in spite of the potentially higher/equal cost.
  8. True, though they've never given separate, distinct branding to any of the Frozen sets yet in spite of its distinction as such. Perhaps that could change with its sequel later this year?
  9. I suppose so, though in the case of Frozen, Lego had included several sets based upon the film while still under the less-inclusive Disney Princess umbrella. Maybe that all had to change rather for inclusion of Moana? Well, that's just how it goes with almost every story-driven/character-driven playtheme, be it licensed or non-licensed. Just think of all the characters that even the Disney CMS subtheme may not cover throughout its indeterminate lifespan (if we are to presume Disney has a life beyond two Series, as no CMS subtheme beyond the original has cracked that two Series ceiling yet).
  10. Wow, talk about pretty particular even for Ninjago...
  11. We kinda do have such a theme currently with the minidoll-based Disney Princess line since it was rebranded just Disney starting back in 2017, as I feel like that should've set a precedent for such from then on. I mean, was there any other particular reason they'd done such that would suggest a different motivation?
  12. Well, where I think those are an exception is in the lifespan of the tie-in theme for each movie. For Lego, each cinematic entry is kind of a historical event for the company, though they can only put out so many tie-in sets within the short time frame the movie is most relevant. At least a single tie-in CMS for each movie can help make up for any characters and/or variants the film's tie-in sets can't include, as Lego can't be certain that any of their cinematic movies will end up becoming Frozen-style box office successes that could possibly ensure the output of tie-in sets for years on end. For extinct/discontinued non-licensed themes, that is?
  13. Thanks alot for that! I was also hoping to gain others' personal feelings on the subtheme as insight, not only just others' insight on other AFOLs feelings on such!
  14. Do you feel that Creator's Three-In-One line is underappreciated to any degree by AFOLs? If so, why? Is it the limited color selection for most of its sets historically? Is it due to its tendency towards usage of more basic, preexisting bricks and/or parts within its sets? Is it the Three-In-One alternate build approach its sets take? Is it due to its historical tendency towards usage of only preexisting minifigure prints and/or parts? Is it due to its historically limited coverage of other playset subject matters, themes, and genres? Is it simply not as exciting as other themes and offerings from Lego? Is it something else altogether entirely?
  15. Checked out James Mangold's The Wolverine from 2013 and Logan from 2017 both for the first time these past two evenings. While The Wolverine wasn't bad, it just wasn't very impressionable; while Logan, on the other hand, surpassed its context as a mere X-Men movie to be much more than that. I can't say much more about the latter than what has already been said by many!
  16. Thank you so very much for that!!! Well, there was at least confirmation at this year's Nuremberg Toy Fair that September's CMS has only sixteen minifigures. I mean, that just has to be Series 19, as all the exceptions to the rule nowadays exceed that number... The thing is about the Collectable Minifigure theme as a whole, is that it's best suited for subject matters, franchises, archetypes, and characters that would otherwise not be viable within a playtheme and/or set. On the other hand, with something like Ninjago (outside of the cinematic movie), any potential entries to such a Series could easily be slotted into a set within the actual theme instead, as Lego has total creative freedom to accommodate any Ninjago character or creation into such.
  17. While this is an excellently thought-out CMF Draft all-in-all, damn, it was particularly awesome to see you include those comic-based iterations of both Star-Lord and Rocket Racoon, as I believe those may be the first ever hypothetical minifigure renderings I've ever seen done for those designs! I've always wanted to see those two in those iterations as minifigures for awhile now, and as a result, they're my two favorite designs out of an already superb Draft!
  18. What'd you think about the Arts & Crafts/Prairie/Frank Lloyd Wright style being adopted by the Modular Building subtheme? Could it work or not? As would both @LegoModularFan and I! Perhaps a Botanical Shop/Greenhouse would be best fitting for that style?
  19. Really? Hmmm, the purported "cosmic" implications that its source material suggests had me vaguely hoping for some sorta spaceship or something.
  20. Well that's the thing: A homage CMF would offer a yellow-eared recolor of one of their hairpieces.
  21. By the way, does anyone here see any likelihood of Lego paying homage to this theme in the near future through a Collectable Minifigure Series figure? Perhaps it could take form as a generically-named "Nature Elf" CMF, utilizing one of the theme's characters' hairpieces at least?
  22. By the way, does anyone here know what the upcoming MCU Eternals Movie may have to offer us in the way of potential Lego sets? I know hardly anything is known about the MCU's take on the characters and their story at this point, but do any of you guys have any particular in-depth knowledge of the source material it's basing itself upon? Would you be willing to offer some speculation as to what the film could give us in the vein of tie-in set(s)?
