Because otherwise, it'd be a missed opportunity. I mean, how many cinematic releases get the chance to be animated in a faux-Brickfilm/stop-motion style, with completely brick-built backdrops and animation that real-life Brickfilmers can only dream of achieving! Plus, such an approach would only work in favor of promoting that specific playtheme, rather than the brand as a whole.

By the way, what exact duration of time must there be in order for two replies to be merged (assuming nobody posts right after one's initial post)?

You're most likely right... While I haven't any specific idea for that first hint, the latter two are most definitely Edgar Allen Poe and a "Nessie" Costume Guy! Looking at the teaser now, I'm guessing that "circus character" @Robert8 mentioned might be the one in the upper left-hand corner.

Whatever it may be, I somewhat wonder if that CMF is designed in mind for the new bag size introduced for TLM2 CMS, given how "BIG" it seemingly looks.

Well, what's the point of a movie based upon an idea/concept that would potentially have nothing to do with the Lego medium outside of the sets? Technically, it'd just be another generic action/adventure movie. To answer your question less directly though, the type of live-action movie I'd direct would be either a situational comedy/drama about AFOLs or a biopic about The LEGO Group in some way. P.S. I think this topic should've been posted in the LEGO Media and Gaming subforum instead.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
While I don't know how constraction fans would feel about such labeling, giving such a hypothetical Bionicle-inspired CMF the "alien" label might make buyers who are ignorant of Bionicle less confused as to what such archetype it is more specifically, as they'd just accept it as another random alien CMF. I must confess, when I initially replied to @MAB's comment on the lack of original ideas, I impulsively misinterpreted it as implication that the Collectable Minifigure line is running out of steam, hence my comment. But, regarding this discussion of a CMS based upon fan designs, my original proposal was for not necessarily a "fans' choice" contest for most favored archetypes, but rather a submission contest where fans/artists submit their original character (not generic archetype) designs for a chance to be in a CMS made up of such. The end result could look more like an Overwatch-esque pantheon of heroes, rather than a typical non-licensed CMS that you would've seen otherwise. Um, I wasn't suggesting an entire CMS based upon/inspired by Bionicle, just a single CMF inspired after such. -
The disappearance of the mid-range sets
Digger of Bricks replied to astral brick's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Heh, despite the name of the line implying that it's supplementary to preexisting themes, it'd be nice if Xtra could offer supplement packs for lines that don't exist at the present time. Ya know, a Spartan Warrior pack, a '20s-Era Factory Workers pack, a Space Troopers pack, a Medieval Villagers pack... -

Uh, I don't think so... Preferably the latter! -
Ah, so are the Video Game Girl and Alien Invader ideas the only two renders you have left that are fleshed-out more thoroughly through Illustrator? Still, I'd be quite interested in seeing any of your other less-refined pencil sketches.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Though this one isn't "Renaissance" in any way, another idea for a CMF I thought of recently is one that could pay homage to Bionicle somehow. As a generic archetype, perhaps such a CMF could be named "Biomechanical Warrior/Alien" with a design similar to these: -
The disappearance of the mid-range sets
Digger of Bricks replied to astral brick's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I know I've proposed this elsewhere before, but would it help or hurt if Lego instead created a intermediate subtheme for Creator that sat in between the Three-In-One and Expert lines, one that offered sets of an MOC-quality priced below Expert's range? I don't know, perhaps it could be named Creator: Advanced? Something akin to what Fabuland once was, perhaps? Hmmph, hence the likely influx of more licensed properties than ever before. -
I see @Elysiumfountain has resubmitted her Orient Express project on Ideas!

The disappearance of the mid-range sets
Digger of Bricks replied to astral brick's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, I don't know why it's annual output isn't bigger as so accommodate further ideas; as it is, after all, one of Lego's top-selling themes year-after-year. Perhaps that's due to the sets' alternate builds, as maybe it takes longer for designers to develop each set as a consequence? Well, much like Creator, I feel Juniors could've easily accommodated sets based upon themes, genres, and ideas that otherwise don't exist on Lego's template at any particular time. Can't really say that could be possible anymore with the current 4+ denotation. -
True, and I'd be perfectly alright with that, as it'd just be another dead-end licensed CMS line.

Heh, but they could at least slip some generic Steampunk archetypes into the traditional CMS line every now-and-then. -
Would you be willing to share the others, even if they're based upon archetypes @Robert8 has already covered?
-
If this rumored D2C is indeed real, maybe a CMS based upon the show could be released for 2020 after the fact?
