  1. Another neat and compact MOC, well done. I'm enjoying seeing these good-quality vehicles rolling out (ha!) at such a pace. What are you doing with all these fantastic vehicles, are we going to see a collection of all of them together at some point? I think you've got quite a few now, unless you dismantle them fairly quickly.
  2. Well researched and said, @zephyr1934. I was aware of the various designers involved, but hadn't pinned it all on a timeline as you have clearly taken the time to do. I would prefer to think the two developers had come up with similar ideas independently and simultaneously, leading to some confusion when both projects were published. I can't see why anyone would try to copy and compete with anybody in this fairly niche market.
  3. Truly stunning models, that capture the shape of the originals very well. I especially like the roof detailing. Even if it does look a bit odd negotiating curves, at least it can get round them!
  4. That's brilliant, I love all the side cowling and the neat colour scheme. I also like the fact it's almost wider than it is long, it makes it look highly maneuverable, well done.
  5. Hey, that's a nice design to get angled windows with no gaps! Good job on the building overall, looks simple but attractive. The interior themes work well, too.
  6. Just a thought - perhaps they were considering using it as a part in it's own right elsewhere, but never did. Or I assume it was never used.
  7. Brilliant! I love the fact that if this monster existed in real life, there would be no connection whatsoever between the engine and tracks... rendering the former apparently pointless! It is an excellent feature for the model though, and it has plenty of fire power. Good job!

If you're definitely going to sell, and thinking of doing so here on EB, I believe the best place to do so is the Buy, Sell and Trade forum: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/forum/16-buy-sell-trade-and-finds/ I'm not entirely sure of the rules and regulations over there, but it's something else to consider.
  10. I have noticed the increase in spam too, I've ran out of amusing ways of reporting them. It's getting tiring, but there's not an easy way of stopping it. The time-delay @Littleworlds suggested might work, but it would likely just fill up the "introduce yourself" forum with spam topics instead. Conveniently in one place, but annoying to find the actual introductions. Discouraging spam without turning potential new members away is a difficult balancing act. Perhaps we could elongate the 'quiz' questions asked on registration, that might reduce the number of false accounts...

  12. I love the racket this highly original and mad creation makes! Do you think you could gear up the circular saw blades? I don't think they look very effective at low speed.

  14. That looks gorgeous, I especially love the items on the wagon and the electricity isolators, even if they are somewhat hidden being the same colour as the building. Very interesting building techniques and parts usage all round, well done.
  15. You can import a list of sets from one to t'other, from the Rebrickable 'My sets lists' page. Brickset can't manage individual parts (although it will count minifigs), so I mainly use Rebrickable and sync the list over to Brickset when I get any new sets. If you've ordered those parts off BrickLink, you can import an order into Rebrickable to add those parts to your list. You can even add older orders, provided BL has still got them recorded.
  16. This is still the case with my collection, and I love that. It's annoying, yes, but I like my collection being relatively small. It's still large enough that visitors are surprised, but most importantly to me it's manageable. If I need to, I can pick it up and move it all to clear the room easily. I haven't bothered with specific organisation beyond colour separation; I know what is where anyway, so the 8 boxes (plus MOCs) is plenty. I don't know if I'd have the time or will to effectively manage a larger collection. I find building digitally somewhat different to building IRL, as the infinite collection affects my processes; I mainly use it for larger constructions I'm never going to build, such as Modulars etc. I think some of them would look really bland in real life, as I'm not forced by my collection to be inventive, nor am I likely to accidentally see other parts I could use for detailing. In this way, having an infinite collection is probably detrimental to my creativity. Overall, although it's a train of thought I've never been on before, yes one probably can have too much; it makes logistics harder and impacts building styles. How much is too much is still extremely subjective, and mainly dependent on circumstances. But probably mainly storage.
  17. How about replacing the tiles with rail sections and wheels, like the lower half of the 60052 crane? You would get a beautifully smooth slide then, I feel looking at it currently it is going to be very heavy and stiff to move, especially with a loco on it. You should add some hinge plates to keep it locked in position when loading/unloading, however, similar to the real things.
  18. I can't tell if you actually meant breaking or braking... either way, those are some impressive videos. They would be awesome enough without the crashes as Zephyr said, the doubled-up TGV looks especially good as it sweeps around the curves.
  19. I always get a little excited when I see this thread's title under 'next unread topic'... You have indeed crammed that little jetty full of details and life, an excellent way of integrating other themes into a city. Well done.
  20. I meant the question in a more in-universe sense; will there be a ladder for him to be able to climb into the cockpit?
  21. I have a few more ideas, but I certainly won't be able to build anything physical, as I am away from my bricks. @raised If we're building digitally, how are we supposed to demonstrate 'swoosh'? Render a picture of it on a curve?
  22. There really is only one word to describe this now, and it's WACKY. I wasn't sure at the beginning of the build, but I like where it's ended up. Can't wait to see it all in action. How does the panda get into his/her cockpit though?
  23. A Network Rail two-car Windhoff MPV (google images search) is quite long when built roughly to scale, I had a go at one digitally once. Their breakdown/recovery cranes are pretty big too, but the best has to be the ballast cleaner; that is a pretty long monster, especially if you include the self-discharging wagons. The UK doesn't have much in the way of everyday use large/long rolling stock as our loading gauge is quite restrictive.
  24. I would build an entirely different fence design, using plates etc mounted vertically. You could then use regular 1x2 hinge plates to allow each plate to follow the curve neatly.
  25. Unique-looking, some interesting building styles and a great overall model... well done! I was thinking something along these lines, but never actually built it; it's just as well, yours is far wackier than mine could ever have been! How does the raising function get activated, is there a motor on the pneumatic valves? How quickly can it raise?
