DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion
BubbaFit45531 replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I read a review say the Clash of Heroes Batman cape was paper. Not sure if true, but it does feel like it'll break with the armor on. I keep mine with armor off.- 8,446 replies

Lego Nexo Knights TV Series Discussion
BubbaFit45531 replied to DuckBricks's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I saw these marked down for clearance at Target. One had a face that looked like Darth Maul. -
Thanks to a Lego fan's website's feel guide with pics of accessories, I went 2 for 2 in feeling for Rogue and Spy, the only two appealing characters from this series. Target had several boxes of these for $4.49 and Kmart had maybe two boxes for $5.19. I was curious if these were marked down for clearance, but guess not. I'm gonna pretend Spy is Snake from Metal Gear Solid. Rogue looks like he belongs on the Arrow TV show with Green Arrow. He seems to have dual molded legs and one dual molded arm.

Do you ever have that moment...

Moved stuff around to dig up and find my Star Wars mini figures and small boxed sets. Turns out I had Darth Maul Lightsaber Duel vs. Qui-Gon Jin and forgot I bought it. -
Anyone ever get ball joints from the Pick-A-Brick Wall?

Best body position to build Lego?
BubbaFit45531 replied to Zerobricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Lifetime 28241 Folding Personal Table, 30 by 20 Inch I used this temporarily as needed and folded it up when done, but after taking it out to build Blue Power Jet, I left it out and assemble things on it. Haven't figured out a better place to put Blue Power Jet and the Lego Dimensions NFC pad. I also have a Walmart Tritan/Polycarbonate serving tray that I dump parts on to and use to dry parts I washed. -
Does Pick-A-Brick Wall ever have ball joints? I was in awe of GYUTA's Gundam RX-78-2 mini figure scale, but I feel more courageous after seeing some mecha frames pics. Edit: Pick-A-Brick Wall had 1x2 ball and 2x2 loose horizontal swinging socket. http://guide.lugnet.com/partsref/ seems pretty good for identifying elements with illustrations and part numbers.

I tried this Lego Digital Designer software for the first time, and man, it's awesome! Granted, I only used it to recreate 3 simple things I built by bricks first. I'm really impressed by the ability to generate HTML instructions that look like official instructions with images of bricks used in the corner, then assembly, as well as parts list. Now with a PDF of the instructions, I don't have to worry about taking apart the construction and forgetting how I put it together. I'm looking forward to making something mini figure scale big using parts I don't have, then ordering them from Lego's website. Is there a website or a way in the software to look at every Lego element there is?

What else did you build from Macross? -
[MOC] LEGO Justice Gundam ZGMF-X09A [Demo]

This has pieces I never knew existed. -
Futuron, but I wish I bought some Blacktron... unless I did and don't know where they are.
-
Very impressive. I was just looking at a mini figure scale Gundam RX-78-2 by GYUTA and wishing I could have the parts list and instructions.
-
Holy moly!!! How much does that beauty weigh and cost to build? These are the times I wish I had the parts list and instructions, but with this, it's probably out of my price range to try to gather all the parts. I would like to attempt some of the smaller manned mecha like the Spartan, Monster, etc.

Lately, I've been browsing pics of upcoming sets, current sets, on Amazon and other Lego sites, then deciding what to look for in stores. I also find stuff in stores, then go home and look up what parts are in the mildly interesting things I found in store and decide if I want to go back to buy it. I like the Lego sites that have scans of instructions so I can see if it includes interesting parts. I keep checking Lego sites to see if there's something interesting coming soon.

It seems most need at least the proper torso. I dug up an old helicopter pilot with the shirt paint fully scratched off and want to turn him into Venom, but he's got yellow hands and lacks the white spider on chest.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BubbaFit45531 replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Still no Batman Phantom Zone polybag at my Target, but they suddenly have a ton of Banana man series packs and a bunch of old Joker Bumper Car polybags and some Mr. Freeze boxes in an overflow aisle away from the regular Lego aisles. Lots of empty space on the Lego shelves. -
Not recent, but the last Star Wars sets bought were the first Star Wars (yellow faces) Snowspeeder & Speeder Bikes.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
BubbaFit45531 replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I guess that's a good way to encourage people to buy the sets for the mini figures regardless of how uninteresting the rest of the set is. I looked around Pick-A-Brick and didn't see any good mini figure parts. I'm guessing in store build a mini figure are also lacking good parts. I'd have trouble finding good parts to make one mini figure, nevermind making 3 for $9.99. I'll probably end up buying a mediocre set for Boba Fett or wait if maybe Star Wars comes to Lego Dimensions. -
I prefer increasing my collection of these cups for storage. I like that they have studs and holes for stacking. I don't like how infrequently they refresh the parts selection.

new REVIEW: New LEGO Store - Leicester Square, London
BubbaFit45531 replied to Pandora's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I saw a nice long YouTube video tour and it seems like 90% gallery and 10% store. What's the purpose of having passports stamped? The things that would get me excited would be a huge pick-a-brick wall with many good pieces in good colors and a wide variety of current and past sets at reasonable prices. -
Probably less than 50. Seeing people's framed mini figure collections and seeing YouTube videos of store tours, etc. gives me the itch. What's disappointing is when they discontinue a nice set before I become aware of its existence and third party sellers' prices are way too high.
-
Even though polypropylene is food safe, I thought I saw someone post he emailed Lego to ask if it was safe to drink from and the response he got was they will not advise using the cups for anything other than the original purpose. I'd like to use them to freeze soda or cranberry juice, and the snap on covers are great.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
BubbaFit45531 replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks for the info. So can you order all the necessary parts to make your own specific character mini figure for a decent price? Can you order all the parts of a set but in a different color scheme for a similar cost as the normal set? -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
BubbaFit45531 replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Newbie Question: Are these parts made by a company other than Lego and using the same quality materials and manufacturing process as Lego standards? Are these parts that Lego themselves do not design and produce?
