  1. One bad thing about the PDF instructions I noticed is for some black parts, it's hard to tell how many studs are on the piece because the black pieces images are entirely black and you can't see the studs. I suspect those were scanned rather than output directly to PDF via Adobe Acrobat.
  2. Finally found the Batman Phantom Zone polybag at Target in the Valentine's Day section for $3.99. Tried to enter the DPCI(?) code from a Lego fan site's photo into the price scanner, but it didn't give any info. Didn't see any Batman CMF packs and the Kylo Shuttle polybags taken off the shelves yesterday and spotted in a cardboard box were nowhere to be found on the sales floor. Glow in the dark minifigure from the Bane photo looks interesting...
  3. Last night I was reading about Lego minifigure magnets and how the quality was good then went down, then fans let Lego know they didn't like the bad quality, then they fixed it to improve it. If you feel made in China Lego quality is bad, tell Lego so they'll do something about it and the fans can benefit.
  4. 30279 Kylo Ren spaceship polybag $3.49 at Target for parts. Was on the shelves with baseball cards for days, then when I decide to buy, it's gone. Couldn't have sold out so many so fast. Didn't see it in toy section, but it was left in a cardboard box near the baseball card section. You'd think if they take it down from one area, they'd immediately put it elsewhere visible, but not really.
  5. Didn't realize Gordon liked to suntan. I don't recall Gotham City ever depicted as having a clear sunny day.
  6. I thought I read Marceline is a timed exclusive and will be everywhere early 2017. Also, I kinda want to buy Nya for the ball joints and gray katana sword, I think.
  7. I was surprised LDD lets you use the hinge rotate button to turn a 1x1 plate 45 degrees while it's connected to another piece. I saw a Gundam head instructions require that unconventional positioning.
  8. Do the parts exist to make a nice team of Final Fantasy Red Mage, White Mage, Black Mage, Fighter, Knight, Thief, etc.?
  9. I think March is Excalibur Batman, Knight Rider, Batman Movie, so maybe May is Teen Titans.
  10. I saw something about a new free build a model (likely kids only) igloo using some of those unwanted staples of the pick-a-brick wall: black 1x1 c-clip & white curved corner and possibly a 6x12 blue plate on 1/14/17. I tried looking at pick-a-brick online, and there are a bunch of pieces and colors they don't have. I couldn't gather all the parts I needed for a MOC instruction's parts list. There were very few options for minifigure helmets and hair. I hope when Bricks & Pieces comes back online 2/1, hopefully I can get them there.
  11. I doubt there's a way to know aside from seeing the shipping box it came in. I saw Target getting ready to restock the shelves and saw some Star Wars sets in a shipping box that said from China and the sticker on the box indicated which Star Wars set it was. I think the bricks themselves have a tiny imprint of what I'm guessing is the part # and # indicating position on the injection mold for troubleshooting.
  12. When I buy something, I go to swooshable to link to the PDF instructions from Lego's server and save it. I'm keeping hardcopy instructions inside a polybag inside a big box.
  13. I stood in line for quite a while at Toys R Us Customer Service for price matching only to be told later it could have been done at the normal cashier line. Also, I was told you must show them the website that has a photo of the exact product (same character for Lego Dimensions) you're trying to get price matched and it must be in stock.
  14. I recently found two relatively nice mechas where the creators were nice enough to share the instructions. They were both older creations and I'd like to see what they made after ball joints became more readily available. Who are the top MOC creators to pay attention to, especially when newer parts are available? The finest minifigure scale Gundam RX-78-2 I've seen was GYUTA's.
  15. On swooshable, I finally came across some nice MOCs where the creators were generous enough to share the parts list and instructions! The thing is I don't have anywhere near the necessary ingredients. I'm going to try to make a point to consider buying any polybags I come across if they have parts I want, where before, if they didn't come with any good minifigures, I'd ignore. Gonna try to see if any parts sets have good parts. The last parts set I bought was a Basic blue brick tub.
  16. I noticed Target has some Lego in the baseball card section (polybags), Lego aisle, and the misc small mystery pack aisle, as well as end of aisle display stands. I saw a few things in the clearance aisle end, but when scanned, they weren't marked down. Mine has an awful lot of CMF 16 that appeared AFTER x-mas. The one box of Disney CMF was gone like overnight.
  17. I watched a few episodes from Lego's YouTube and kinda find myself wanting to see a few more episodes... for now. Saw Book of Monsters arc.
  18. After seeing someone elsewhere say his NFC tag went bad and he was asked for the receipt for a replacement part, I'm going to dig up my recent receipts and scan them just in case.
  19. From recent observations, most boxes/labels just say made in here, here, here, or here (may as well say made on Planet Earth since they're so non-specific), but the collectible minifigures only say china.
  20. Amazon or Costco is cheaper, when Costco actually carries Lego that is. I should have websearched Costco around Black Friday. I could have saved $10.
  21. There are YouTube reviews of the Battle Suits.
  22. After xmas, I've been seeing people on Reddit post huge discounts at Barnes & Noble, Walmart, Target, but I haven't seen any, or at least stuff I'd want to buy. I even walk boxes to Target's price checker scanner in case stuff's marked down, but not tagged.
  23. I just hope the toxic stuff that ended up in dog food and baby formula doesn't end up in Lego sets.
  24. I remembered the find Batman hunt's reward was supposed to be a polybag. I just got them mixed up, but: 1) It was only for kids. 2) The prize wasn't a polybag, but a paper mask....?! May as well give away oxygen or sunlight. Even a Batman minifigure mask would have been better. I will not let these tricks lure me into the Lego Store ever again. I would have bought the polybags if they were available for sale.
  25. brickinstructions also has the buildable R2-D2 instructions, but too bad I don't have the parts.
