^ Thanks for the tip. One of them is on YouTube as Lex Luthor Battle. Very nice song.

Hollywood hotshots have a long history of taking an already successful franchise and then putting their creative spins on things and making it unappealing. It could very well backfire. They are calling it Ninjago to milk the Ninjago name and their egos motivated them to turn things upside down. The kid fans are likely going to be confused.

I'm also looking forward to wandering around Lego CITY's adventure world, including the space base. Does anyone know if there's a Lego Dimensions soundtrack? I'm interested in the songs that appear as a medley in the first jukebox Ninjago song that plays in the Ninjago adventure world. Seems like a remix of Weekend Whip and some peaceful asian instrumental song that's nice and another nice song that's mostly instrumental with some modern sound and a bit of chanting singing and a bit of robot talking.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
BubbaFit45531 replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I watched the IGN YouTube video interview with the CMF designer saying hotdog man was really popular. I don't get the appeal of hotdog man and banana man or this proposed rumored cellphone man. A Lego man inside a big Donald Duck mascot costume might be appealing though.- 1,421 replies

I believe in "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." If they're going to change the faces, hair, voices, color emphasis in costumes, they may as well not call it "Ninjago" and call it something like "Ninja High School Teenagers". I originally became a fan due to the Pilot's presentation of colors, personalities, sense of humor, voices. I am totally fine with Power Rangers colors. They look nice. Also, I read a voice actor's interpretive thoughts on Ninjago characters, and I couldn't help think this dude didn't watch even one full season of Ninjago and is likely just making up his own spin on things. It was a bit disturbing. I would not blame kids if they don't like the movie appearances so far. I thought I'd buy a bunch of Ninjago CMF, but now I'm guessing probably not.

I recently started watching Ninjago from the Pilot to Season 1 and am on Season 2. I really liked the Season 1 colors and ninja costumes. Was there anything bad about the cartoon to motivate the movie makers to change the colors and the look of the characters and have it be unrelated to the cartoon? I'm not digging the new hairdos, the minimizing of the colors, Jay's freckles, Lloyd and Kai having weird faces. I would have been interested in the movie without celeb voices.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion

At Walmart, saw cardboard display in front aisle with a bunch of CMF (+ 2x adult feelers in action), Batman mask, Joker Training polybag. At Lego Store, saw Batman CMF. -

Yeah, the movie Garmaddon helmet looks much better than the one with the dog bone on top. -

It's not going to be appealing if all the ninjas are black with the only other color being the torso printing. Part of the appeal to me was the red, blue, white, black, green color scheme. I will probably buy whatever Ninjago polybags I cross paths with. -
I don't have any Ironman yet, but the flip up face is appealing, but seems to make the head too big in proportion to the body.

Is it possible instead of stretching out the release schedule due to the end being near, maybe they are pushing the release date to allow for more time to try to present a less buggy game content? I'm looking forward to exploring the Lego CITY adventure world. I just pre-ordered Lego Batman Movie Story pack for $28.99 at Best Buy.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
BubbaFit45531 replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I am a B&P novice and only browsed it once. Is there some trick to searching for new licensed parts? Needing the set # or part # makes it hard to browse and buy parts I've never seen before. I'm looking for some cool armor and helmet pieces as seen in past CMF series, but no idea what sets they appeared in. It seems like they don't make available licensed heads or headgear. I'm trying to make my own jumbo Ant-Man and the special face part isn't available. I might try to paint my own with Tamiya acrylic paint. -
Why not?

I really like the inclusion of the pics showing each disassembled part so people know what's included, front & back. I came back to Lego when CMF16 was out, so I missed out on the various cool characters with helmets & armor like the spacemen. -

I prefer the ninja costumes with less black and more of the character's signature color. I will be eager to buy a bunch of Ninjago CMF, but I hope they are not too crazy looking. I prefer variants of the main characters rather than obscure unfamiliar characters. -
Lego instruction software
BubbaFit45531 replied to Robenanne's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
You guys don't like the LDD's own HTML instructions (needs javascript on) and PDF'ing that? I tried to follow two separate MOC instructions, but they only showed everything from the same angle, so couldn't necessarily see what new part was put on because it wasn't shown in a front view.- 6 replies

LEGO Ninjago 2017 Discussion

I thought Lord Garmadon became a good guy? I recently started watching Ninjago and like it more than something like TMNT. I like seeing the vehicles from sets appear on the show. -
Let's see him make a Metal Gear Solid MOC.

I went to the Lego Store, and it seemed like they had the parts in PAB Wall for the construction vehicle, they may have run out of the plastic boxes for the build-a-model. They ended up taking down the signs showing what the BAM model was. If I wanted the vehicle anyway, I would have liked the option to buy it even without the plastic box for it. I also saw on Twitter in early January someone posted the picture of the official BAM model coming soon. When I saw it in my store weeks later, I realized maybe a lot of stores do get the same stuff around the same time, but maybe the employees choose when to put it out for sale.

I just recently started watching Ninjago and Nexo Knights and am going to try to get caught up with Ninjago from Episode 1. I bought Lloyd before I was aware of Jay and if I find Cole, Zane, Kai cheap, I'll buy just because of Ninjago. I would likely buy at least a few Nexo Knights if they come aboard LD. Also, with Ninjago, Lego didn't have to make new expensive molds for their minifigures. My guess is with other franchises, having them being a part of Lego Dimensions might be a cheaper way for them to have a video game presence than if they invested in a standalone videogame. If it were me, instead of just pulling the plug, I'd consider omitting the vehicles and lower the prices. Just slap together a character minifigure using existing molds and include a NFC tag disc and some add'l game content like a new adventure world or access to one where the prior character was retired. You know, the $89 starter pack regular price isn't doing them favors. I bought mine with Supergirl for $29 on sale, but spent another $82 on other characters fun/team/level packs. I never spent that much on one video game before.

I may have seen that reddit post (no Year 3), which looked a lot like his opinion rather than fact. One of the Lego fan news sites I frequent linked to it (minifig price guide). Was this it? Interesting. Do a lot of Nexo Knights sets do that? I only have Clay Battle Suit and Knighton Rider.
