  1. Searching for instructions for nice MOCs was mostly fruitless, so I turned my attention to official Lego instructions from sets that had something cool in it. 75000 has instructions for a relatively simple droideka, but I don't have all the necessary parts yet. 76051 had Ant-Man as jumbo Giant-Man. Still need to order a few more special parts like the face and hands and connectors. 30611 is the buildable R2-D2, again with special parts.
  2. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:654751 I'd like to make something like this out of Lego. It has a hole for lightning cable to be plugged in.
  3. Found it in Target's Valentine section. Built it then dismantled the bizarre drone for parts.
  4. I don't know enough about what new pieces exist now that didn't when I was a kid, and some of the MOC creators are really skillful.
  5. Star Wars CMF would need multiple release series of 16 each or it would be too hard for completionists. Simpsons got two series, so why not Star Wars and other franchises?
  6. As of today, the only place I've seen Batman CMF packs was the Lego Store briefly. I wonder if someone's driving around and buying them all as soon as they are put out. I've seen Lego Batman Movie sets at Target, Walmart, Kmart, Toys R Us.
  7. I made a note that Futuron visor fits thicker chin strap spaceman helmet. I tried it. Something about helmet + visor that's appealing.
  8. It's 3 for $9.99. I've read people say you must buy 3, not 1, and I've seen someone say instead of hat/hair, head, torso, legs, accessory, he got duplicates of "NY <3 I" torso only. I also read people say you cannot put minifigure parts in PAB cup. Even online PAB doesn't have anywhere sufficient parts to put together a nice minifigure.
  9. The other day, I had a transparent red 1x1 brick crumble in two. Didn't put any chemical cleaners on it. It was old and stored in plastic tub inside a tied trash bag.
  10. I saw Batman Mr. Freeze glossy flap box with R imprint for Mexico?
  11. Took 17 calendar days to receive replacement Lego Dimensions vehicle NFC tag last month.
  12. Gimmick or not, I would like some glow in the dark pieces or entire minifigure, preferably in multiple glow in the dark colors. Not willing to buy black light bulb though.
  13. Anyone ever get anything good from build-a-figure? Every time I walk by and peek, there's nothing appealing. I read someone say they put in dismantled set figure parts and another person said they had older CMF figures. It really looks like a used parts bin rather than something that's regularly updated with desirable parts.
  14. Try checking wallofbricks.com or brickbuildr.com for your particular store and see if anyone updated the parts log. I think Phoenix, AZ, Orlando, FL, Vancouver, BC, Indianapolis may have people regularly updating their local stores. If only the Lego Stores employees would do this.
  15. I asked a similar question about instructions for the huge displays in a YouTube video of a tour of Tokyo Odaiba's LEGOLAND of Tokyo Tower and other landmarks and the response was those are kept proprietary among the employees and cannot be shared. Yesterday I downloaded the PDF instructions from Lego for 76051 Marvel Airport Battle because I want to try to build giant Ant-Man/Giant-Man jumbo minifigure. I need to somehow get the face piece and some other Technics shafts.
  16. It comes with the instructions. Upper right corner Building Guide Mode (F7), then upper left corner Generate HTML building guide. Open it via web browser with javascript on. From there, you can print it to PDF via Adobe Acrobat.
  17. Lego Store here seems to have run out of Batman CMF and still had less than one box of Disney CMF.
  18. Finally pick-a-brick wall got a few new pieces, including ball joints! Most of it was the same stuff as past couple of months. Just 4 pieces weren't there before. From one small cup: 18x sand green 1x1 brick 1x 59349 white 1x6x5 hollow wall piece 2x white 2x4 brick 2x blue 2x4 brick 4x blue 4x6 plate 5x white 4x6 plate 4x black 4x6 plate 3x dark gray 4x4 plate 12x white 1x2 brick 4x old fashioned light green 2x4 plate 24x 2432 black 1x2 handle 45x 3794 black 1x2 tile with 1 stud 37x 14417 dark gray 1x2 plate with ball on long edge 35x 63082 light gray 2x2 plate with non-friction ball socket for swinging horizontally loosely 1x 44728 black angle plate 1x2 & 2x2 "L" Wasn't packed carefully enough and had too much empty space. (I just had a very old 1x1 transparent red plate crumble into two pieces! I thought those were made of polycarbonate.)
  19. I like the fish bowl/dome head and shoulder armor.
  20. Interesting. Thanks for the codes. 30303 Joker Bumper Car polybag stamped 01R5 30279 Kylo Shuttle polybag stamped 27R6 30522 Batman Phantom Zone polybag stamped 46R6 Mexico? ^ All bought from Target recently. 71013 CMF Series 16 from Target & Kmart 617B6 & 323B6 71017 Batman CMF from Lego Store 345B6 ^ China (label only lists China) 71215 LD Jay 25R5 box lists Denmark, Hungary, Mexico, Taiwan, Czech Republic 71238 LD Cyberman 42R5 71285 LD Marceline 36R6
  21. Judoka and Olympic wrestler in singlet to compete against previously released Karate Master and Boxer guy and Boxer girl.
  22. This really is a fantastic review especially for the detailed pics of all the parts included and for the group photos with other minifigures from a similar theme that I didn't know existed or to inspire collection of the other similarly themed minifigures. I look forward to your reviews of future series. Thanks.
  23. Except for the ones with open up flaps where you can see the contents without actually opening the box, I flatten them and put them inside a bigger Lego box. These boxes and polybags serve as a record of what I bought in case I bought something and forgot years later.
  24. Is there a listing of what each code represents? Also, if you're interested in what's made where, check out the National Geographic Megafactories documentary about Lego. It's really good to watch. It seems like the bricks are molded in Denmark (?) and then painted in Czech Republic and distributed from there or from Denmark to Mexico. Some bags are filled by machine and some things are packed by bare hands or gloved hands.
