LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
GeoBrick replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
And, in the case of the Galaxy Explorer, 50% bigger? From all appearances, a similar-sized Renegade would have trouble holding four crew. Which begs the question if the leak regarding minifig roles is correct: are the crew for the ship itself, and the pilots for any supplementary craft linked to the ship? -

Or maybe the crew decided a wench was the best way to keep the captain in line? -
Looks nifty. And perfect for avoiding Blacktron Cruisers.

Good call on the visitor thing. I don't mind a larger variety of mid-sized printed legs. In comparison to the normal-sized ones they're fairly rare, certainly for in medieval and pre-modern settings. -
Now there's an interesting combination of minifig parts.

I'm guessing it's a bit testing the waters for the LEGO group. There must've been some kind of demand visible in the poll.

It's nice. But I also see it double up as a trash bin gathering robot.

They're really elusive. I saw them on PAB in Europe last month, included a few in an order, and afterward they weren't available again so I feared they would be cancelled from my order. Gives me hope I will find them in my postbox in a week or two. -

I'm not sure, but wasn't it LEGO's intention to keep the results hidden, and surprise us at release? -
Looking at the sailors on the left, it sure looks a merry crew.

What is your favorite Space set? (One only!)
GeoBrick replied to SpacePolice89's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
The biggest CS set I had as a child: the Space Transport. -
Its a lust for the eye. but I do wonder, where are the troops bivouacked?

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes

I'd go for fur over chainmail poking out. The 'texture' of the print seems to be too irregular for chainmail. But then again, that could be the quality of the picture. Definitely a minifig I'd hope to get two of. -
And now the wait begins whether or not it will win the small set slot.

Beautiful architecture and design on the whole set. I think the curved side sections of the ground control building are my favourite, but the rest of the structures are very close behind, a lust to the eye. Not to mention the vehicles. Especially how the modules of the rover fit together. The versatility is unheard of.

'Grand' is too short a word to describe this... magnificence... The construction looks straightforward but the detailing seems to bring just enough variation in the build.

You're talking of a considerably higher price tag then the Galactic Explorer had. Not that I would mind of course. I had a thing for Blackton I the moment my youngest brother got the Invader set back when it came out. -

In a surprise twist, a melee joust with 6 to 8 knights in full armor. No need for LEGO to include new horses with barding, but new minifig prints are for sure a necessity then to distinguish the mock combatants. Perhaps even swords in reddish brown then.
