  1. Thanks! Unfortunately I had already built the entire chassis before those wonderful new pieces came out. It would've look so clean with them though! Thanks for your interest, however unfortunately no instructions will be available as it was a one off commission build. Thank you, I appreciate that! Thanks Didumos! I appreciate the kind words, you pushed me to build a manual model so thank you, I'm glad you like it! As for the thumbnail, we set it to a good one that we liked but for whatever reason it's showing that horrible one still, hopefully it'll change over. Thanks! Thanks! Thanks so much, truly means a lot! Just a heads up and no teasers but the next build I will be working on will be a dual build with my bro @Lox Lego, it'll be the first dual moc since the FXX. Also you are correct about the hood scoops being Arocs buckets. Thank you Milan! @brunojj1 thank you! I'm glad you like it, it's a very large and tricky build but it finally came together. I was happy to try out a few of those things that I hadn't done yet like the adjustable seats and ebrake. I didn't want it to be just a pretty model I wanted it to have as much mechanical detail as the outside. It was quite the experience as it's my first commission build and only my second proper MOC. As for the scoops, they are Arocs buckets. I've wanted to use them for quite some time in a moc but never had the chance till now. Thanks, I've been waiting a long time to be able to use those for headlights they worked to well to pass up but their size and shape is quite difficult to work with. As for the photos I'll be going over them and adjusting colours, we didn't finish up until about 2am so I wanted to get everything posted. I'll let you know once I go over them. You are correct, thanks for catching that. It's reverse ackerman steering, I was half asleep when I was posting last night. I'll correct it. Thanks KD! I'm glad so many people are enjoying it. As for ebrake, it's pretty straight forward and I'll explain how it works.
  2. The Focus RS500 was launched in April 2010. A limited production run of 500 units (101 of them for Britain) were produced. It has a turbocharged 2.5 L5 petrol engine which produces 345 bhp and can do 0-62 mph in 5.4 seconds, with a top speed of 165 mph (266 km/h) making it the fastest Focus yet. Flickr Album: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmcw9qTe The new model was given the RS500 designation to highlight its strictly limited production run of 500 individually numbered vehicles, all of which were offered for customers to purchase. Each RS500 carries a metal plaque on the centre console, hand-engraved with a unique identification number from 001 to 500. Ford Focus RS by Dugald Cameron, on Flickr This car is a full manual model and features a 6-speed manual gearbox tucked below the miniature inline 5 cylinder, fully adjustable seats, fold flat rear seats, adjustable steering wheel, open-able hood, trunk and doors, closed loop pneumatic e-brake, custom cantilevered suspension with reverse ackerman steering, HOG steering with working steering wheel, spare tire, 4x PF lights at front, 2 PF lights at rear with fully detailed engine and interior. Ford Focus RS by Dugald Cameron, on Flickr This is my first full manual model, with tons of challenges along the way and a total build time of over a years work. And thanks @crowkillers @Rudivdk For your inspiration for the gearbox! And last but not least @Lox Legofor all the help throughout this build, especially for the photos and video you rock bro! And as always more pictures available on Flickr, click any of those pics to see more! Thanks for the interest.
  3. My biggest concern is the engine, the way it's set up in can't see it having a despute bottom end with only one crank shaft. It also doesn't have the cylinder set up like the picture above. Not a very accurate engine design if you ask me, I guess we'll see.
  4. Well that's awfully aggressive! Looks awesome, I haven't seen that much rake since fall
  5. Looks great! I'd like to see it side by side with the Lego RS
  6. This is Awesome, I can't believe how small you were able to keep it. It looks great and is instantly recognizable as the hoonicorn mustang
  7. That was my first time seeing the video, super cool little hotrod. Looks very playable and great use of the parts given! How often do you do CModel?
  8. This is massive. Looks better than the cargo plane in my opinion!
  9. This came together much faster than I anticipated, it looks great! I was intruded by the very clean hood design and it's nice to see the rest of the truck followed suit! Very well done
  10. This is awesome I love the compact mechanics of it all! And the body looks great, the added bits like the bull bar really suit it
  11. I rebuilt it to check the instructions but I also wanted to redo the colour scheme for the golf livery in a proper blue white and orange. I also added a functioning steering wheel. This is an awesome little build and super fun to play with. And how could I pass up a few pictures with its little 911 brothers!
  12. Very cool and very aggressive. I love the pic with everything removed showing the cage, the body looks good too. Well done! Any chance of a video of this thing in operation down the line?
  13. But this has been going on for years and it's people doing what they want with a building system that encourages creativity. People build mocs because they want something that Lego doesn't offer. That doesn't mean they have to adhere to strict rules. Everyone here has there own ideals when it comes to Lego, some for pure functionality, some for a shelf full of mocs to display and the list goes on. I guess I'm just confused on why it's such a big deal. I say we encourage and help, not discriminate because they can't build the way you want them to. One of the things I love about eurobricks is its diversity, I get to see all sorts of wonderful, crazy creations all in one place!
  14. I love the internals, functions and playability just as much as the next but building a good looking body can be just as difficult as building a chassis. Yes with all these flashy cars you may not have the pure "in system" that Lego produces but that's the beauty of Lego. You can build whatever you like however you like and sometimes to get the right shapes you have to get creative. I guess all I'm saying is we should all just get along and work together, there's no sense in breaking up the group. Everyone has there own style, building techniques and knowledge of mechanics so trying to shun someone or some build because it looks better than it functions is a little ignorant to me. I think we all need to relax a little and try to find the beauty in all builds. Helping where we can, helping not tearing apart because it's not their style. That's just my two cents, there's plenty to see from phenomenal technical aspects to beautiful styled builds. But to try and tear this awesome forum apart would be a shame. We should all be able to jump through to something we like in the first few pages and see a load of inspirational posts from people's works and efforts, regardless of the build.
  15. Thanks, it was a fun afternoon build for the two of us so we're happy it panned out. Glad you like it. Thanks, the mudguard was too perfect to pass up. It's a great set but as @Lox Lego mentioned it's a very odd set for both colours and singular pieces but I think if it was redone in in solid colours it would be better.
  16. Very well done, everything looks to be in place and it's scaled very nicely. I'm curious about the suspension, I'd love to see some more detailed shots of if. killer build.
  17. This is on a whole other level of massive, the fact that it can move itself around let alone a chair is unreal. I love the insane level of detail and it all functions..... Incredible
  18. I'm not sure if I'm the biggest fan of the colours or bodywork but that chassis is something mean it seems..... Very aggressive and a very cool offroader
  19. This is great, not sure how you're supposed to drive when the seat touches the wheel . Other than that though this thing is awesome, very clever build at such a small scale.
  20. This is awesome, I can't tell if it's more technic or system Lego but the two combined is beautiful. Not to mention you nailed the shape which at that scale would've been very difficult in full technic. The body on frame is a nice touch and I like how compact you set up the servo and L motors. Very nicely done.
  21. Although I've only used it once for Lego purposes and the filming of my Aston build I use a Canon GX7 MKII along with Activeon CX golds for wide angle shots. They all seem to work well for their purpose! Along with a few Lego made Dolly's.... Which unfortunately didn't work nearly as well as I liked. Also a friend of mine has come across this camera which seems pretty cool https://revl.com It's essentialy an action camera with a built in Gimbal.
  22. This thing is looking more rugged than your supercar. I can't wait to see some footage of it ripping around it'll fly with four L motors and two buwizz.
  23. I say you make every corvette model up to date it this scale I love all of them so far, awesome work.
