  1. Nice house, I like the overhang over the street, and the smoke from the chimney.
  2. Well those examples given by Drunknok may be, but greenhouses are already in recorded history since the Romans.
  3. excellent greenhouse micro build Drunknok, I like how you put the plants inside too.
  4. Oh no! its the MTF again:
  5. my entry for category 1 Bart

  7. Taking this risk is part of the game. in Era I there was a whole different system for ships and classes. so saying that older players have an advantage is not realy true in my opinion, just a marginal one. If most players sail around in a range 4/5 ship that does explain why Nova Terelli has become such a hub as zone 16 and 19 to the north are empty. and zone 18 and 21 are Sea-Rat waters and people are somehow afraid of those. there is so much cool information to gather from this map.
  8. If I where to build in all three catagories, do they have to be in three different thread, or can they be posted in one thread? *asking with the back thought that this might reduce a bit of overflow in the BoBs sub-forum
  9. Thanks :) More builds in Poppy Port, well no need to rush things :D but you are welcome to participate ;p "the bar" sounds a bit harsh to me, but I thought for starting builds wood should be the way to go, but when the settlement develops and ships come in, brick build buildings may show up too. The roof is supposed to represent a canvas covered roof (aka made with a sail). (I struggle the most with putting roofs on buildings....)
  10. Medium Art & Culture, owned by Poppy Port
  11. Even a starting settlement needs an office for the local clergy to oppress rule administrate from. I tried to keep the same feeling of the terrain as with my first build in Poppy Port but with your comments about needing more detailing on the terrain in my mind. The building is a simple wooden construction, with a canvas roof. As the port is still under development, there is no incoming trade yet and building materials are sourced locally. Dr. Anderson! the office lady calls out, a letter for you!. Dr. Anderson was just about to join James at James Creek for some relaxed fishing.
  12. A pirate might love this map too, going hunting might be most favourable in area 17 for instance :D :D *checks the flag-chest if there is a black one*
  13. great harbour scene! I love all the action around the carriage. The corner of the park and the building are almost builds on their own, while you reduced them to a background job :P
  14. Nice build, the 616 is a nice touch. might be a tad on the big side, but I think it works, brick wise it's hard to make it any smaller. Good job on the interior features. I love the clock.
  15. I think it's a bit to straight. it could use some curve, (sheer) and why that bow?
  16. Nice fountain! good choice in minifig face.
  17. Nice map Mesabi, interesting to see which ports are favoured and which port are mostly left out by the trading ships. A watchfull captain could make a fortune calling some not so favourite ports.
  18. entertaining story! it's amazing how just adding the small legs make the minifigs like childeren. the choice of faces and posing helps too ofcourse, great job in that. I like the yellow on the ship, and the arry of wooden guns.
  19. I like the story, good posing of the cat in different scenes. The yard and the surroundings look good too, I like the building connected to the mountain with the door at the angle.
  20. excellent build drunknok, I especially like the basement with the stores and the kitchen, great job on the stove!
  21. I like how you made the floor, with the two tones of brown and a few printed planks with wood grains. And nice job in going from brick to plaster with the colloums in the corners
  22. Nice presentation of the options Bregir. Sea Rats in uniform LOL .. . we'll never agree on the design. Olly's arent' hard to distinguish, they'll mention their faith every other second!
  23. I've read all the above, and then again. And to be honest I'm a little surprised. I'm not going to say much, I could though, but I don't think it helps. What I would suggest , is that you two call each other, or even meet up. Because I think half the annoys from both sides comes due to not understanding the written text the same way as the other ment it when he wrote it down. Bart
  24. @DrunknokWell as another LDD builder I applaud @LM71Blackbird on the posing. You have to do quit some trial and error to get the 'feeling' for how to use the tools in LDD. it's not a matter of seconds even for a skilled user. I don't know how to explain it to somebody who doesn't use LDD. but you have to select every part separatly and choose the rotating axes (some have several) adjust the degrees, click the next, etc. Sometimes you cannot rotate a part because it is connected on the other side too. for example you can't rotate the hip, you have to rotate each leg individually. And ones rotate LDD sometimes refuses to connect bricks. so you have to build a rig to move a piece to almost the same angles before it is able to snap into place. I think I could spend around 20 minutes on a pose like that, with several minute adjustments untill it feels right. change the colours to some others, keeping in mind how the render effects them and all.
