  1. Nice action scene going trough that window. I like your roofing technique very much too, I might borrow that someday :P
  2. As a rule of thumb you could say that when a ship is sailing the ensign is on the gaff of the spanker, when in port or anchored its on a flagpole on the stern. the flagpole is removed when sailing so the spanker boom can move port to starboard and back. I say rule of thumb, as there are exemptions due to ship type and how the sails are carried.
  3. That is an amazing bow! I can only find one thing wrong with it: Where is the rest of it?
  4. WOW, upscalling like this really suits your building style! I wouldn't want to open the first gunport near the bow, in any sort of weather though. and bombardment guns on the cabintop deck? aka the most lightly build deck. It truly is a floatign fortress, I doubt any ship sailing the brick seas (at the moment) is capable of taking her on. planning on licensing her?
  5. Classic oriëntal look, convincing in the world of bobs too. I really like your flower bushes.
  6. That's a neat house, I could live there.
  7. Well no need to exaggerate, Oleon has a mighty army too, they are just scarred of crickets in the woods, and shoot their own. :P 2nd and 3rd Platoon of East Company - 1st Battalion Derr's Expeditionary Light Infantry - Platoon fire drill.lxf by Bart, on Flickr How does anyone like to be on the receiving end of a line practising platoon fire?
  8. Coming soon to a beach in your area! I reckon you mean the non yellow skinned one with the face paint? Because in the back is a shorts wearing one too :D
  9. 1st Platoon of the East Company - 1st Battalion Derr's Expeditionary Light Infantry . Inspection with Colours by Bart, on Flickr As @Bregir made clear, any fighting force requires a moc, and as already filled out some forms, here is the presentation. The 1st Platoon of the East Company is being inspected, after finishing their training. There is no bother with full uniforms, the only rule is to wear something of the Battalion colours, green in this case. From left to right: Colonel on a horse, battalion commander, green epaulettes, port-starboard bicorne hat with a big red plume Captain of Infantry, company commander, green epaulettes, fore-aft bicorne hat with small red plume Company runner, (taking messages to and from the colonel to the captain if the companies operate out of line of sight of the rest of the battalion) Company drummer, the only one for which the colonel saw fit to give a uniform jacket too. Lieutenant of Infantry, the platoon commander, with green epaulettes and a tricorne hat with a red plume The fighting men in the platoon, all armed with a good musket and a bajonet. The battalion colours, a green field with the red trident of Derr in the middle, flown from a black staff tipped with a red spear head. The SeaRat colours, identical staff. It is my intention to create the full nine platoons, so you'll see ninety different mini's when the full battalion end up in a fight.
  10. Thank you @Mesabi, @Bodi and @Lord Brickington
  11. Thanks @LM71Blackbird, I'll try some trans pieces next time on the water, blue render and trans pieces aren't a happy match in my experience, but maybe here it could have been done. I'm happy you like the look of the building, I'm still trying to build in some pioneering style in a starting settlement low on 'civilized' building materials, aka sourcing wood locally but not having a lot.
  12. I had seen your wip pictures, but I completely missed your posting of the finished product. It's great! I love all the details you squeezed into her.
  13. Medium Artisan, owned by the FTA
  14. Dr. Anderson and James are travelling more inland, on the outskirts of Poppy Port a small mountain stream enters James' Creek. Local farmers have redirected the stream and constructed a mill, to mill flour and press oil out of their harvested seeds. James is fascinated by the cogs working together to transfer the rotating of the water to the rotating of the stone and press. Dr. Anderson on the other hand really wants to continue up stream to explore the inlands of Sabre Island.
  15. Nice job on this scale Bregir. I'm too currious on how it would look with sails, maybe just paper ones to give it a try?
  16. Sweet that you are getting this going dr Spock! No worries about the Grand Dutchy I'm sure we can get a free passage for players and fans when the time is there ;)
  17. Stop the alcohol abuse will you! Barbarians...
  18. Nice job! I like the coastline and the round bricks for the dams. But the sluces really stand out for me. The excevation is a nice addition too. Maybe you could add a non renderd screen shot of how you intended the colours. Bart
  19. I didn't realize the use of the lance was so special. When looking for a flag pole in my Lego pile it was just the first brick to fit my mental picture. That it could double as an angle support came after that. Aye the story will go on, the next move is for Prio ( @Capt Wolf) Sure you can drink untill you drop! As long as you pay your bills. :) Explenation for a new player: there had been some "unfriendly" things going on between prio and the searats the last few mcra's this is a continuation of that.
  20. I'll be building a something then :)
  21. Thank you Bodi.
  22. Ah okay, I could go full out with marching bands and all :P BTW as far as I could find there was no requirement to build a moc to license troops.. (and there was no "post link here" in the form ) (There is very little rules to find about troops anyway) I know it could/should be a captain , but there are already so many captains in this game :O ship master captain and the navy rank captain, I thought it more distinguishing to call him/her a major. But if we go sort of historical accurate the battalion commander should be a lieutenant-colonel :P (unless it is a 1 battalion regiment,, but now we are getting offtopic)
  23. I've a question about armies. A platoon is 10 men. I assumed included a Lieutenant next step is a Company = 3 platoons = 30 men. Is that including a major to lead them? then you get a battalion: 90 men. but you need to add an Colonel, signal men, staff, etc. are those included in the 90? or are they free to moc extras?
