Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
Bart replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Wow, you are adding to the Prio treasury by 400% I find that kind of odd. The Grand Dutch of Prio now has more coin then the SeaRats who since the beginning of Bobs have only gathered 6000 db, (because no automated tax income) I think 8000 db's is enormously out of proportion. Now you also added 150% to the prio fleet. and spend another 700 db's on them Game whise why wouldn't it be possible to buld a fort in a town? anyone can build anything anywhere is one of the starting points of bobs. some port s are closed of to foreign factions but by far the most are not. I find it odd, that this is changed behind the scenes, it smells an awefull lot like cheating. I did a thorough investigation into the Dutchy of Prio and Alexport, when this conflict started. Alexport consists of 7 residences nothing more. (the bank holds a mere 200 db's) The Grand Dutchy of Prio doesn't have any other settlement, (the faction bank held 2000 db's) It only had 6 ships (now 3) Prio didn't have any mentioned allies in any of the threads where such information is listed. You can't just suddenly change the stats of Prio because that suits you, and make up some story of the old war of why they where there. You may build/ moc and license things now though, plenty of cash from MAESTRO. Wait prio and romantica are the same? @Phred then Alexport is listed twice in the account sheet :0 That should be a bit weird as prio/Alexport doesn't have the coin to pay for that. And hold your boats going after this LoM. The searats are discussing a respons. -

Kings Port Advertiser and Ship List (Vol 3, Issue 5) July 618
Bart replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
pffft, let it slide man. anyone could've made such a mistake. There are several Mesabi characters, whom are all fun to follow, but I for one also wouldn't be able to tell from the top of my head which one is in the WTC or not, or which one rules Mesabi Landing and which one is on a ship somewhere on the charts edge. -
Thanks, i'm quit happy with how the greenery came out aswell. when working on it it looked too open, but now on the renders it appear to be a dense jungle edge I was aiming at.

Thank you,

Thank you, looking back I should've done more on the leveling of the baseplate. creating another step up halfway the beach and another one on the jungle edge would've given it a better look to start with, It's just the order I build things digitally, the final shape of the base is one of the last things getting done.

Ah now I understand your message on my build! Same scene, but a very different outcome, I do like yours very much! You've got a better terrain then I have done, I like your positioning of the loose peddles and spears, that is hard to do digitally. Well done.

You are more then welcome to give it a try! I might learn again from your experiment. Thank you. It's the canoe carving that started this, the perspective with the angles grew around it. But most of all, I'm happy to finally get an idea for an cat-A, moving on to cat-B where I've an idea for all along, now see if I can get it in brick.

The 7th Platoon (West Company) of the 1st Battalion Derr's Expeditionary Light Infantry has landed on the beaches of île d'Or and is marching towards Fatu Hiva. Near the town they come across a canoe maker. The Captain and Lieutenant start up a conversation with an Oleon Shipwright, while some of the soldiers with a native background strike up a conversation with the native craftsmen. EII-CHII-CatA - Canoe makers at Fatu Hiva 2 by Bart, on Flickr Captain Adolar Brickdottir: Why are you working on canoes if I may ask? shipmaster: Because I want to hone my skills, they have ways to treat and work wood I do not know, I like to add those skills so I can make better ships in the future. Captain: Not to be to direct, but what is going on in the woods? Shipmaster: Unfortunately I do not know, I arrived here just a week before you did, all I got where evasive answers of everybody involved. Lieutenant: And what where those answers? Shipmaster: All that enter there, *vaguely gestering into the woods* die. Captain: Thank you for your help. EII-CHII-CatA - Canoe makers at Fatu Hiva by Bart, on Flickr (OC: I tried my hand at a forced perspective by base plate shape. I hope it works in the above two renders, the one below isfrom another angle so it doesnt work there) EII-CHII-CatA - Canoe makers at Fatu Hiva 4 by Bart, on Flickr Soldier: Greetings great master Native craftsman: Hello to you to mighty warrior Soldier: How is buisness going? Craftsman: Good, there is high demand on my canoe's for the pearl diving. But unfortunatly this will be the last one I make. Nobody wants to go into the Jungle anymore to fell the big trees I use the trunks off. Soldier: That is unfortunate, why is it that they are unlikely to get them trees? Craftsman's his eyes shoot left and right, weighing what he should tell: uilebheist uabhasach has been awaken. Soldier: Any idea how to put that back to sleep? The craftsman made a vague gesture with his axe, those blue fanatics have angered the gods. EII-CHII-CatA - Canoe makers at Fatu Hiva 5 by Bart, on Flickr Enjoy!

Thank you @Phred But now I have your attention, there appears to be an irregularity in the account of Poppy Port, Every licensed build should give the bank +5 of income every month, or that is how I understood it in the By Land page. But now the income of the town bank is listed by 8 db's. But with 3 licensed builds by June, shouldn't that be 15? If I'm wrong I'm sorry for the work I create, but as this is a settlement that is just starting those few doubloons could mean the difference to licensing something this month or waiting two. If Poppy Port would be Mesabi landing sized I wouldn't be bothered with a few coins :P Thank you, Bart

The third one is quit nice! On the second one it looks like your jib is upside down. And spankerbooms should just clear minifigs heads, might even knock their hat's of if they don't duck. -
Thanks, I'll have to do some research (big word for looking at some google images) first, but I'm looking forward to it.
