  1. Nice warehouse professor! It appears to be a bit 'out of the way', what kind of contraband is the FTA storing there? I do like the looks of the outside, the black stone and the rock work, nice addition of the lava flow and steam rising.
  2. @Phred The town bank income for Poppy Port is listed as 5 db in the May sheet. But I understood it is 5 db per property, and there are 2 of those in Poppy Port Also the Yield is listed as 15db's but with two propperties that should be 30db. I assumed my licensing was correct as the license fees were correctly deducted in the april summary Thank you in advance Bart
  3. Thanks you Roadmonkeytj I'll reduce some colours in a next coblestone look, maybe a bit more texture difference? Thanks for liking the swan! I'm very pleased with that design.
  4. Should be something near three months. So in August back to a ship.
  5. @Elostirion Thanks, you see some nice shifts when you look per ship. interesting. I think its a great idea to make town income to the town bank not dependable from the number of properties in town but of the trade (in what ever form) debateable ofcourse as it may hinder hamlet's a bit. But now towns (or faction) hardly use taxes so that might be a thing to do then. Bart @Drunknok fun note on the labour day: In the Netherlands it is not a holiday, if you tell it to a random person on the street they will think you are crazy celebrating that you have to work. @Elostirion Thanks, you see some nice shifts when you look per ship. interesting. 6. @Elostirion Interesting numbers, but I wonder what does it do, if you divide those settlement totals by the number of ships that visited it. Because when I read trough the TMCRA results I noticed that Oleon gathered virtually all their ships in Breshaun this turn. If the Court is re-thinking the trade system, you might want to take into account, the raise and fall of the trade value based on the number of ships that visit it, a maximum number of ships able to actually trade into a port, (based on trade value or settlement status idk) and things like that. and maybe a sort of gain for the town bank out of that trade? (or is it possible to tax visiting ships (automatically?))
  7. Very nice town scene, with just the right amount of clutter (barrels, wagons etc) to bring the street to life. I really like that every building is completely different. Great use of all the different kind of lego animals.
  8. Other news item; I'm finally going home, after 6 months on this ship, I'll be flying home tomorrow. So you may see some brick build contraptions from me :O Although my improved skill in LDD and the possibilities of LDD do outweigh the amount of bricks I have so LDD will stay a part of my buildings for the game. So if you don't hear from me the next week or two, I'll be getting to know the family again. But I just as well could be back online Thursday :P
  9. It's a nice TLG style ship. Clean but with plenty detailing, nice of including the winches to lift those launches. But I'm going to challenge your class 9 classification. It may be long enough based on the midsections, but as far as I understand the ship rules, a class 9 should have multiple decks. and yours has just the one. If you look at the examples given, aka the bench mark moc's, the class 7 Margot and the class 8 Triton, are both two decked vessels. You call yours a frigate, and it's build in the frigate (not even a heavy one, but okay that is maybe hard to do in bricks but then mention it in the text), and from classes 7/8 upwards I always considered ship of the line territories. anyway it's my opinion, and just that.
  10. Mayor Derr: Great plans? Great plans?! sweat's nervously while eyeing the room. well uhm *rumbles trough the papers* I think you expectation may be a little higher then mine. But if the WTC is interested in investing in property I'm will happily welcome them.
  11. Nice scene you have build. If that plant is only a baby/cuttling and already eating rat and the occasional leg. what does it eat when it fully grows o.O Special mention towards the curtains, I like how you did them with the chains.
  12. Thank you @LM71Blackbird I noticed that about Flickr, it took me some effort to come past the commercial thing they had on their page showing first when I went there. @Kwatchi I never thought about the pier being to busy, but you may have a point. On the decks I like to use a different shade of brownish because Bluerender merches all the tiles and plates in one smooth layer, you can't see tile/plate edges. so if it's all the same it becomes hard to distinguish parts. For example the deck tiles under the forecastle are grey, to force a shadow effect. In real bricks this wouldn't be necessary but digital I feel I have to think about stuff like that. @Ayrlego LDD and a hinged hull takes some/a LOT of patience :D
  13. Thank you Professor Thanks, that worked. Somehow it got weird when I removed the links Flickr presents next to shared pictures. I like the curved slopes, they give some gap issues, but those are manageable.
  14. To celebrate the fact that I Rodsh Derr have become a member of the Free Traders Association, I've build them a ship. I gave command to Captain Bennet, a former mate of mine for whom this is his first ship as a captain. I present the FTA Achernar The FTA Achernar has been specially designed to transport big rum barrels, her mainsail boom has been strenghtend so she can load and discharge the barrels herself in any port, and her hatches enlarged. --- On the mainmast you see the Sea-Rats colours On the mizzenmast you'll find the banner of the FTA and on the stern the personal flag of Rodsh Derr, which doesn't have to mean he is onboard though.
  15. Thanks for the additional explanations, for me it is all clear now.
  16. That is one busy market, I really like the atmosphere you've created.
  17. uhm this got me more confused, what you are saying now seems to contradict what is said before. This would imply a settlement, fraction or TC can license what ever it wants and a player can only license 3 things in his/her name because a player isnt always equal to the builder which isn't always equal to license holder. For example I build a factory, making me the builder and player I give it to Roadmonkeytj, (player) he chooses to licenses it in the name of the FTA (license holder) so who gets a deduct on his quotum of 3 then?
  18. I really like following this story. Nice work on the set, moving it just a bit down the street is a clever thing to give the feeling that the story is moving own. The piano movers are a great touch, as is the other activity on the dock. Would've loved to see that horse clime aboard though :P Bart
  19. So then it's just 3 land-builds per player, regardless of who or what they build it for. So I can do 1 builds as Rodsh, 1 build as Poppy Port and 1 for somebody else = 3 builds in total and not 3 for Rodsh and 3 for Poppy Port which would be 6 total Does this include A/T MCRA builds if they are licenseable ? and what about (mini)challenges ? *not to be criticising but just to be clear.
  20. I ended up with the same questions as Roadmonkeytj.
  21. Name: Poppy Port Ownership: Derr Family @Bart Location: Sabre Island Mayor: Rodsh Derr @Bart Who can own property in Poppy Port: anyone Who can freebuild in Poppy Port: anyone Link to Poppy Port Thread.
  22. Dude, this is a very fine build for a first time! Nice work on the irregular base and the vine. Your sign is upside down though :P but maybe that is on purpose I'll be on the look out for what else you manage to build in LDD! Bart
  23. Nice writing again :) what is it with almost all the Oleon ships going to Breshaun o.O ?
  24. We're already 8h into Thursday but there is still 16h of Wednesday left
  25. Neat little ship! Great work on the rigging.
