  1. More pics, please? MAC
  2. Wouldn't take but a shot to sink her with that load out! I always enjoy a creation with high 'playability.' MAC
  3. I like the reboot! Great work! MAC
  4. Spectacular! Major props to you! MAC
  5. Nice brig so far! I do like the color scheme, especially the dark grey stripe. I know it's probably silly, but had you considered a name having to do with William Wallace's rebellion? You said it was for red coats after all... Heck, even the Claymore wouldn't be a bad name IMO. Keep us posted with WIP pics if you have time! MAC
  6. I'm not sure how, but the studs on the roof are popping out with a superb effect. Maybe it's because everything else is so smooth, or perhaps the photo quality (good photography by the way!) Either way, the roofs look great here. Sometimes less is more, am I right? As for what you could build for the inside, I agree with the others who suggested a gallery overhead. The structure resembles a church in a lot of ways (just imagine a steeple atop the highest ramparts) so an organ would always be welcome. But if it's a fort, you might consider a space-efficient jail inside. Stellar building mate, keep it up! MAC
  7. What? No love for the tree gate yet? I cannot begin to imagine the proposal the forest man had to assemble for his rogue leader. "Well you see sir, I have it in mind to build a gate in a tree." "But won't people just walk around it?" "But it's a gate. In a tree." "Maybe if you found a way to link the trees into a wall..." "TREE GATE." "Okay, we're just gonna change the name to 'tree outpost' and I'll pass this one on." (Wringing hands.) "Tree gate. Tree gate. Tree gate..." Keep up the good work! MAC
  8. This feels like the medieval equivalent to today's gun collectors. It's like he got one halberd and told himself, "just one more." All in all, a very clean looking MOC despite all the unusual angles and greebling. Well done! MAC
  9. I do like how clean it all is, excellent work. MAC
  10. You make some great points, and I'll be taking these to heart. I'm separated from my bricks this summer, but once I get back I'll put aside my ego and make a post. As for the other WIPs, that's a significant flotilla... I'm a bit stunned at the part commitment they represent! I wish you the best of luck sir! MAC
  11. I am very interested in where this thread is going. I've built several ships but haven't gotten up the courage to post them among the titans on this forum... and I'll be taking in all the advice here! Maybe I've got the wrong impression entirely, but isn't the poop deck smaller in area than the cabin? This would require tapering in instead of out at the stern. I'm rooting for you @Masked Mini and I look forward to seeing this project take off! MAC
  12. Superb work, Captain Braunsfeld! This looks like something right out of a Charlie Chaplin movie. I did notice some hinge bricks on the poop deck... wouldn't it be great if the cabin was the funkiest colors imaginable? Keep it up! MAC
  13. Looks like a practical chance at getting past the killers of dreams the Ideas Review Team. I've been fascinated with Technic-based sails since I saw them on the Sea Cow. In your opinion, do they restrict play more than cloth types? MAC
  14. This was a worthy bump. Fantastic details! MAC
  15. Y'know, I usually get miffed when people put more content pertaining to their other projects than what they're actually posting, but you're other mocs aren't bad at all. And this WRX is nice. Roofs are always the stupid part of LEGO cars. This is a good execution all things considered. Nice work, keep churning out the models. Pretty soon you'll be making Teslas or something. MAC
  16. If this is the way the Brits live, then maybe I should get a passport. Pretty good match for what we see in the movie; but it's modest enough of a location, and so well executed that I'd buy the darn thing. MAC
  17. Gee, wonder why they call it the Lion Hotel... Looks smashing, keep it up. MAC
  18. The colors on that first modular are a bit of a flex, aren't they? All kidding aside these look marvelous. MAC
  19. Well these are charming. I must say, LEGO needs to fill the void that Adventurers/Indiana Jones left behind. Well done capturing the essence of the various expeditions. MAC
  20. I didn't really notice the stairs so much until the second pic... Very cool moc MAC
  21. Do you still call them windscreens on underwater vehicles? Whatever you call them, I like their shape here. Very classy. MAC
