  1. Well, it's actually been a while since I completed it and took the pics, but I have finally updated the first post with pictures of the completed ship! EKnight
  2. Mine is now in warehouse! Getting excited, but my wallet is not. Eknight
  3. Not too far out from getting it, my order has changed to "in progress"! Eknigh
  4. Sail making is in progress. A very slow process, I might add. Eknight
  5. And here I thought the figure head would be met with some eye rolls. When the ship is finished, I will tell the story behind why I choose it. Eknight
  6. Who is this Stan you speak of? Eknight
  7. I don't use them in their intended use, but my MOCs also aren't designed to be played with by children. I also don't have any carpet in my house. My kids are already playing with Lego, but so far they are mostly only interested in things with wheels. Eknight
  8. What a formidable ship! Absolutely massive! It's a scale that I don't know if I will ever build, I love seeing these massive MOCs, especislly when they are as well built as this. The large brick built flag worries me a bit. Does it ever fall off due to its weight? Eknight
  9. I do not make instructions for my MOCs, sorry. Eknight
  10. Thanks for your kind words! I will try to get a couple more pictures when I can find a bit of time. Eknight
  11. Ahoy there! I have completed my frigate for the Governors! A full broadside of cannons! A close up on the head figure and bow of the ship: So, the story behind the headfigure is something like this: One day my brother and I were talking about hockey, and how one player (Brad Marchand) had a French sounding name. And since he is known to be a bit of a "rat", the idea of using that printed mouse/rat slope for a headfigure on a ship somehow took place. The deck detailing is as much as I ever do. still, I am happy with it. The cabin got some detailing in it, not something I do all the time these days. "Here is the map, sir!" "Umm, are you forgetting something?" As always, let me know what you think! EKnight
  12. I don't think I have ever been more disapponted in a ship than the Brick Bounty. Eknight
  13. And the angles of the two ships are completely identical as well, which doesn't help. Eknight
  14. I seem to be in a minority in that I think I may actually like this a bit more than the previous. I thought the first one was too colourful, this one is a lot more muted. 4 figs vs 3 and a skeleton is preferred, and they do look great! When I actually have it built in hand I will know for sure which I like more, but for now, I am kinda leaning towards this new one.
