  1. I can clearly understand your views. I think it has to do with habits. LabView code can be particularly hard to read, when it's not encapsuled good enough. What was most nerv wrecking for me was the lack of references in LabView :) And Node-Based Programming Languages can be a very good starter for kids, who never saw code in there life.
  2. Didomus stated, he wanted to build the fst anml from zoo mania ;) It's written in the opening post.
  3. Don't wait, trigger it ;) It works like a charm, my son ran rounds behind the 42039 chassis with servo und 2 l-motors
  4. First of all: Study the rules! and then think like whats not prohibited is allowed. So: Are tracks allowed? what options are left thenaybe 3Rd party tires work better in snow. Some questions to think about: Are you really driving in snow? How much ground clearance do you want? How low can u put this megablocking heavy batteries? edit: extra questions
  5. I actually like the combo Modell. To bad one can not see it running at full power. As 15cm is not enough to load the motor.
  6. With the release of Wedo 2.0 TLG stated that future PF-Parts are compatible with Wedo 2.0. This sparked the rumor of Power Functions 2. Well then there was the rumor the porsche would have the first components. and now we have nothing new :)
  7. Good thing: they are still availlable via parts and pieces from lego. I just ordered 8 of them :)
  8. Nice the wishbone arms return. They were first used in 42000. Atleast if i remember it correct.
  9. I must have missed that thank you :) I'll just have to make my order @p&b and finish my own monomonster, before I can tackle your front axle
  10. hey didumos, very nice looking. Could you provide a lxf-file of the front axle? I'm keen to disect how you stabilized your wishbones and axle core. and MindGarage i would go for a F-Pace instead ;)
  11. It is. The most importent part in any vehicle is the supportstructure. In the plane its the fuselage. It's a given that wings create lift while movement. But there are other aerodynamic effects like liftbodies, etc. You should not forget at what to mount your wings, controllsurfaces etc. It's the same to say the most importent part in a car is the engine. ;)
  12. Yeah most of us remember it. Sheo build this ship :)
  13. BMW used cardan-drive earlier, so it might be possible
  14. prelim or not! It's good to have the old feel for technic back :)
  15. What an extremely hard decission... my vote: 1:10 16:6 20:4 25:3 27:2 3:1
  16. I have to second nicjasno! Those 5 by 7 and 5 by 11 frames are a ginormes help and extremly nice.
  17. Helge you're pissing me off with your instruction book selling. The megablocking world is not only about money. Even if you would give credit to the builder when making money, you would not honor the creativity needed to build such a nice moc. Let your books rest for now If you want to make instructions pm the respective builder and ask for permission and the terms under which you're allowed to make and sell them.
  18. In other words: You put 2 hard coupled inline 4 engines into one casing? Thats not a Boxer ;) as a Boxer has one crankshaft. It looks interresting though. Could you provide a cad-file with just the engine? I'd like to take a closer look at your concept
  19. Helge I'd like to see a picture of your crankshaft? How do you fit the 8 attachment points for your 8 Zylinder boxer engine. For no it looks like a 180° V8 and not a Boxerengine.
  20. grum I'm sad :/ I can't see any of your current pictures.
  21. One particular thing I don't like is the position of your tank. The tank is the highest thing inside the engine bay. That comes from the feed for the carburator used in the 601. If i recon correctly it's a gravity feed to the swimmer-chamber.
  22. Another point for hints goes for correctnes. Most 601 Trabants came with leaf-springs. On front and rear. As BusterHaus said: The trabant has independent suspension on all 4 sides. I just dont know what kind they used :)
  23. a Telelever is a concept for front suspension of a Motorbike. It was developed by BMW. A carden driveshaft is a commonly used to transfer power (torque and rotations) from one place to the over. It uses a joints similar to lego technic u-joints. For further reading I recommend the wikipedia article.
  24. This might come with age. I'm still und 30 and I'm as eager to build as you. Maybe that's the difference?
