  1. Good Evening, I'm happy to day! I finished my first project although it's only a mod. (Successfully modded 42039 for full RC and full lighting and still keeping most of it's form as it is).
  2. Could it be, that your reduction is to high. You might just can't reach the torque needed to let the clutch gear slip. At this setup you have a 1:24 Reduction (one rotation of the worm gear turns the 24Z-gear a 1/24 of a circle and you have 24 times of the input torque)
  3. VKTechnic you should post your subarute at mightycarmods facebook page :)
  4. Completly normal. Ldd has only linear actuators no pneumatic elements Edit: typo
  5. Epic Technic it might just be a typo... or something to remember us you can only build v-engines with 180* angle between the banks and not true boxers
  6. Inline 4 were used aswell in the e30 so atleast Inline 4 is a must
  7. There is a quite good renderer called bluerender. It takes the lxf und renders the image
  8. You saw the mighty car mods vs roadkill episodes on YouTube? But looks nice. You should ad the hoodscoop
  9. dazenie you're wrong. In WWI the planes had engine with revolving cylinders. In German they were called "Umlaufmotor". Late planes from WWI had stationary cylinders.
  10. I'd have a selection to mark Pinned threads: Put a black pin with friction in the hole.
  11. It is obly a V2 Engine. A main point in bike construction for BMW is the usage of a boxer engine. The bike has the same Error/Fault as the Porsche it uses a flat V-Engine.
  12. Maybe it is not so much caring but knowledge. And for the Porsche it might be vetoed out bei Porsche. Think about the 4 wheel steering.... On the other end who knows much about engines and stuff? Enthousiasts and mechanics...... maybe the problem was lying there....
  13. You could think about services like shapeways. You construct your piece and let it print. Maybe an electronic store in your region provides you with te possibility to print your parts. (It's just a rough idea). Maybe efferman can help us with this topic Edit: additional info
  14. How about self constructed parts? IIRC sariel has knowledge about this topic in the current edition of the builders guide. I have the idea of custom cam lobes for an engine but I don't want to cut crankshaft parts.....
  15. I personally dislike modifying parts. Why not construct the part yourself? Another problem is the clearence for the conrod, how thick are thy? 1.5l? oder 2l? Basicly when you modify a part you somewhat destroy it/limit its usage. Although it's a given it is a fairly specialised part....
  16. This feels expensive. Do you need it now? If you can wait for February try Lego bricks and pieces. If my memory doesn't lie to me I paid 2 Euros for 5 of them
  17. I have a Rebrickable, Part link for you Part link Edit: Part number 26287
  18. It exists. The Part was released in 42056 first. You could directly order them from TLG (bricks and pieces has been taken down till first of february)
  19. I can second Blakbird's view. I had the experience to chew on some cables by 2 hardcoupled L-Motors and the Motor is running fine still. No issues there
  20. If you happen to know the VR-Layout used by VW. It's basicly 2 VR engines with one crankshaft. As a flatplane V8 is basicly 2 inline 4 enginges with a single crank. (Simply spoken)
  21. What I'm wondering is how accurate the engine is. Is it a 180° V2 or a real Boxer-Engine with a crankpin per conrod? Sariel can you enlighten me please?
  22. Merry Christmas everybody, I did not get any lego but it's fine, as my son got his first technic set (Police Interceptor)
