  1. It reminds me of a modern indy car. Looks very nice. Is there a chance for instructions?
  2. That is the r3ason for thinking about it again. Does anyone know how google books works with editions? I bought my first ed. As an ebook there.
  3. You could try ordering them from lego at there Bricks and Stone's department under service. Maybe you can find them there?
  4. The Hydroplane has it twice in Blue and the Racing Kart has it in purple i think
  5. Do you mean the conrods? Yes i tested it with them. I forgott some information the dfv will be a structural assembly as in real F1 cars
  6. I tested this approach and the piston parts did collide at an angle of somewhere around 100 to 95° In your construction you use an offswt interresting.
  7. Hello for a project I'm lookibg for concepts to solve some problems. One particular problem I have is building a V8. Fir the project I want to build a Cosworth DFV engine. It has a bank angle of 90°. The standard lego parts have an angle of 120° and when I want to use pure lego I'm out off ideas how to solve this. The none lego approach is doing the 'efferman' and construct your parts fir 3d printing but I'd like to solve this with pure lego. Thanks fir the help.
  8. Sorry to jump in to OT. Maybe you just listen to finish monstor rock (LORDI) while your building?
  9. That excavator is not from TLG ;). The creator was (afaik) Sheo. I Think it was the Terrex Mining Excavator.
  10. 42009 brought me back from my dark age. It was thanks to my wife :) It was a pleasure to build and play. My now 2 year old son played with it too :D
  11. As LXF said you dont get proportional steering. With a servo and a valve its only posdible to control the speed with which the piston extends or retracts. It is not possible to control the position. (Except the extreme positions)
  12. It will be the same with my son (2 years old). The controls of the 42043 are not save from him. I just bought the 42036 and he was inspecting the wheels an gears. So even with AFOLs there will be children playing with these sets and to be honest. It just fills me with joy watching him stacking his little vtech cars on the back of 42043-b.
  13. Maybe I was a bit to harsh in my critics. So I am going to apologize for the tone of my post. I was a bit upset because I like those cars an it did not resemble a thing that sets them apart from other sedans. So i will apologize for my tone but not for the facts i stated in my post. As I said it is a good generic sedan but not an Impreza. Maybe building on that would be a good idea.
  14. I watched the video and think, this car is not an Impreza wrx as nicjasno said: there is only rear wheel drive with double wishbone suspensions. I researched a bit for a similar idea. According to my knowledge subaru uses mcpherson struts as suspension. A second thing is the exterior. You are missing parts like the hood scoope or the spoiler style. The rear wing is not fixed with posts to the trunk, but with it's side panels. Look at the doors to my knowledge an Impreza has four doors and not two. It might be a good generic sedan but its not an Impreza WRX.
  15. Hi! I'm Dirk I just left my dark age a year ago and started creating my first moc. I am a software developer and am a vivid gamer (flying in space, building stuff on planets and racing cars). And if no one can think off it i love cars. I have a little son do the time I have to build is limited.
