  1. Wow! Very organic, the figure in the shimmery cloth really stands out. This could almost belong in the Technic Forum...
  2. Absolutely stunning build! I love the colors and all the details, especially the fighters, and the lettering. And congrats on being featured on The Lego Car Blog!
  3. Saw your post and photos above, and suddenly had much jealousy... That axle looks great, I cannot wait to see the performance of this racer, it ought to be insane!
  4. YEEEEAAAAAHHHHH!!!! Been waiting (far too long ) for this to happen!! EDIT: Nevermind, not happy anymore, black 3x11 curved panels are not for sale.
  5. Some of us are trying to think positively about this. But yes, that is a definite possibility, though one I hope we do not see.
  6. Had the Arocs for about 2+ years now, never had any trouble with it, though I did take a few tries to reroute the hoses better through the middle of it. You just have to make sure the longest hoses are in the back/run over the shorter hoses. Otherwise this can generate a lot of friction, which might be your issue. Photos would help. Upload them to Flickr, then copy/paste the BBCode here.
  7. I only said that because the beams hang down so low from the sides. An engine like this one by @Leviathan would be much better. Porsche had new hubs in the front, and the regular hubs in the rear, so we can hope. (probably in vain)
  8. Sad to see this post, I dream of having a collection like yours... I'll PM you a couple questions.
  9. All it needs is a better engine and a rear wing, right? And racing tires!
  10. Yeah, a hypercar like that has the same doors as my Corolla. You would think that something cool could be done, but at least this way, it's not another disappointment from Lego.
  11. @Gnac Excellent point, I completely forgot about those. They would work quite well, and better than flex axles here.
  12. Something similar to how @Lox Lego did his, most likely. But then again, a 30L flex axle would be pretty awesome.
  13. I would guess flex axles. I don't think there is any other way to do it with any accuracy.
  14. Woke up this morning, quick glance at the Technic Forum... WHAAAAAT?! OFFICIAL BUGATTI CHIRON TOPIC?!!?! I think this set definitely has potential. Things it needs: W-16 engine, like @Leviathan has made, 4WD, a working paddleshifter, and at least a sequential 6-speed, as Lego likes to cut corners, and can easily forget... "What? 7 gears?" In addition, an adjustable spoiler, and while I'm thinking about it, how about we skip the gearbox for a new buggy motor, as the Chiron IS the FASTEST PRODUCTION CAR! A proper colorscheme, preferably dark azure/black exterior with CHROME (It's not hard Lego, come on!) accents and a tan interior. Things it DOES NOT need: That ugly engine block in the video, I mean, that looks like a roof truss for an A-frame house, and how is it driven? Also... Clutch gears. No more needs to be said for that. And about that price tag... Just looking over the 2H2018 lineup, my wallet and bank account died, had funerals, and were buried. I don't think I'll be able to get this set, ever. I'd need a winning lottery ticket...
  15. Good work Jansued! Really like the truck exploding, and the drinking party.
  16. Saw the video yesterday, I love the idea, it's an awesome tribute!
  17. Very nice model, love the video presentation as well! As for "smallest"... That's bigger than anything Technic I've built!
  18. WHAT?! Instructions already?! YES!!! Thank you! Too bad I only have the AA battery box, and no S-Brick or BuWizz... But it should be a monster car.
  19. Truck is interesting, my first thought was "that's a monster truck" but it is a nice design. I think having the front so low doesn't help the looks much, and it's not super realistic for a Baja Truck. However, I do like the minimalist style you used. That first photo is amazing! Good job!
  20. I'll leave a comment after I revive my wallet, I think it had a heart attack....
  21. Best words ever said! Thanks for the instructions! Your model will soon be hanging from my ceiling.
  22. It's not hard to take them apart, just grab each half and pull. HOWEVER YOU WILL DESTROY THE GRAY HALF IN THE PROCESS!!! DON'T DO IT!!! It will NOT work anymore!
  23. @Jurss Currently, yes, but only because I have no real supporting structure. Most of that is temporary framing for sizing things and working out the upper mounting point. Thanks. Took some work, but I'm happy with it now. It's either going to be huge (9+ studs wide) or small. And I think it's pretty close to scale as I have it planned. Either way, I'd like to have one in there for sure.
  24. Get the Mercedes! Forget the Mack, it's not worth getting if you can still snatch up that Arocs!
  25. QUICK UPDATE: Fake Engine Been working on this for a while, red pins+beams is temporary supports. Mostly just planning out connection points here for the suspension, and where to mount the engine itself. [WIP] Ariel Nomad [WIP] Ariel Nomad I won't have another update for a couple days, Great Brick War is finishing up Campaign 5 this weekend. Middle of next week I'll post something on this project.
