  1. So I checked it out and its official, the wheels are perfectly centered. The wheels may have a little more play than regular suspension, so the wheels might be a touch crooked. Cheers @MajklSpajkl! Ohhhh awesome! I be the rear lights are the EV lights... I can't wait. Will you be posting on Euro once complete? Would be interested in how you followed the line of the car. Trying this F1 suspension was a new style for me, but not too interested in different style just yet. Regarding the next build, I'll be resting for sure. Do not have anything set in stone just yet.... Thanks @Blakbird! Lol yes, always juggling the family / work / hobby life. I end up building late at night to find a spare moment!
  2. Hey @Leonardo da Bricki, I have been asked many times to create this one, but I am not a huge fan of the looks. Maybe in the future. This one looks better than the RB001. Thanks for the idea, I'll think about it. WOW! Amazing @Jim, thank you so much! Hi @tomek9210, this build took a month. another week to prep, film and edit. I used the servo and geared it down once. I thought the front suspension was difficult enough. To simply lift this 5.7 pound car, and have it function at 2 different level (sport and track) I'm quite happy with the result. Thanks man! I went PRO in less than 2 years. beyond stoked. Thanks so much @technic_addict! We'll have to have a Boston Pizza night again sometime soon. Your idea of the appearance between the wheels was brilliant, thank you for your thoughts! The seats are different, and thats what I was going for. Funny you mentioned the Hennessey steering, I did the same for this build!! (It was been corrected of course) Elite, maybe only in the supercar section. Still a noob with some simple functions with other things Lego. Thanks very much @Meatman! I believe the photo overlay wasn't perfect, because I check the wheel on center last night and it is 100% in the middle. Many thanks. Hey Brunjj1! Regarding the doors, every time i showed the doors in the video the speed is 2x. Adding a battery would be awesome, but for the space I was limited to, I felt there wasn't much room for anything after. I actually starting adding less detail close to the end in areas due to the weight. (5.7 pounds) I wanted everything to function well, and more weight was out of the question. Regarding the steering wheel, I actually re-worked it last night to turn almost 180º now. I'll see if I can post a video of that soon. The gears - lol - This was my 2nd supercar. I started running out of parts (black gears) and started using any color gear. Now I am torn between what looks better with gears. Show them off (different color), so people see the functions, or have them blend in, but not know what is happening? Great points Brunojj1, I will think about these things with future builds. It is very hard to create a fresh new build each time, but it is what pushes me! (as well as My brother of course)
  3. Thanks @Technic RC Racer! The pushrod suspension works so well. It provides just enough torsion to hold the car at 2 height settings. Yes, those are old see thru engine blocks Thanks @Aventador2004! Thanks @z3_2drive! Thanks! I used the scaling to reference each part of the bodywork. There will be instructions made for sure Thanks Cheers! That was the plan with the flex axles, provide the shapes very difficult to replicate Thanks move5! I did not think it would turn out this way half way thru that for sure. Regards! Thanks Offroad creations! Yes, the pillars were a bit too rounded, but I also did not want a straight windshield so I opted for the flex axles. Thanks! I try to complete one section of the car each time I build so that I'm always moving forwards with the new model. Its rewarding to push yourself like that! Thank you Kamal! Thanks @AFOLegofan66!! I bet he will, so many curves to replicate. It will be a challenge!~ I know right!!?? Thanks! Wow bold statement, thank you! Hahha classic. Thanks @I_Igor!! THanks @tomek9210! That would be interesting to do, but I'm usually inspired by a car to really get into the build. Who know whats next? hehe thanks all. I've been playing with the car all day and everything works well. Truly enjoyed this build, a great challenge. 4. Hey AFOL! The instructions have commenced. I will try and complete them this week then send them to @Thorsten50 for the professional instructions.
  5. This Ford GT is the ultimate expression of form following function. Its teardrop- shape body is the result of extensive work in the wind tunnel. Its carbon-fibre body and its 600-plus horsepower 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine are the ultimate expressions of technological innovation. Flickr: https://flic.kr/s/aHsm7qSxrk Hello Ford and Technic addicts! Thorsten has completed professional instructions for the Ford GT. It might be time to disassemble your 42056 Porsche Kit and build this orange replica of the 2017 Ford GT! Avail at Rebrickable, check it out! Ford GT - From drawing board to reality ? by lachlan cameron, on Flickr Nothing about this build was easy. This car had so many new things that I've have never accomplished before. To start was the framework. I was worried this build would be too heavy for the pushrod suspension. Each wheel has 2 inboard shocks that are positioned in the same fashion as the real Ford GT. Ford GT - door mechanics - filter shot by lachlan cameron, on Flickr I really wanted to have the doors open the same as the real car and this is where difficulty started. Opening those huge, heavy doors was a small feat in itself. The pressure required to pop the door to the final position upwards is immense, so I has to seriously gear down the axle. Ford GT - doors by lachlan cameron, on Flickr The next challenge was the motor placement. Man was it ever hard to fit everything inside a tear drop bodywork! I had to use the middle of the seats for the Sbrick, which may not look too cosmetically appealing, but I can assure you it did completely strengthen the framework immensely. (this may be my sturdiest frame I've made) IMG_0043 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr Lastly, I kept the Veneno to race the Ford GT as they have identical gearing. If you watch the video, you'll see who wins. I will work with Thorsten as well for professional instructions in the future. Ford GT back view ? by lachlan cameron, on Flickr A big thanks to @brunojj1 for suggesting to place more studs between the wheels. I tried it this time (2 extra studs) and I feel it looks proper. thanks! Ford GT - white room - filter by lachlan cameron, on Flickr
  6. Don't know how I missed this post... This build is legendary! The curves are spot on and those thin flex axles give a new image to this Corvette. I'm quite interested what you're working on right now!
  7. Lol I almost hoped that build wouldn't surface again i did have many less parts at that time too, but I appreciate you noticing the progress! I had always loved Lego as a youngin, and the passion was re-ignited 20 years later. Who would've thought? Thanks for all the kind comments guys!
  8. Very cool renders Blakbird! Thanks so much for sharing
  9. This is a very different build, and you nailed it. Everything has its place, and the clever mechanisms all around push this build above most others. The final build is beautiful!!
  10. Hi Aleh, The red Bionic eye piece is placed at the top of the hood. See attached photo. https://photos.app.goo.gl/UOOysK1UuhN9zYAx2
  11. That's awesome! Who is onion? Very cool to see the Bugatti in white I thought he would have used the white 2l axle / hole beam with 1 flex and 1 ridged hose, but this works
  12. awesome! Thank you Thorsten for all your hard work!
  13. Wow this one looks great Aventador! Now to show us your new build in HD photos
  14. Amazingly well done MOC. IF this is your first, my hat goes off to you!!! At first I thought the cabin may be a touch too high, but when I saw the photos it looks spot on. The doors mechnics coupled with all the power functions really puts this above others. Love it
  15. The tanker has to be one of the largest builds ever! It really does stand out, great work with the lighting. I'm jealous
  16. My gosh AFOLego... how are all your supercars so damn shiny!!?? Is it the photo quality or are all your builds 100% new Lego? Great photos, thanks for sharing!
  17. incredible!! Great scaling
  18. Wow very cool Thorsten! Looks like you are almost complete I finally have enough Technic to have two supercars built at once, so I hope to get a few photos of my new build with the Veneno. Below is a preview of what is to come... I hope to be completed in the next two weeks. Then I will have 2 cars to tear down Top secret new build by lachlan cameron, on Flickr
  19. I love this model, and all the new shapes you've figured out. Definately a chip off the ol block! Looks just like the real car.
  20. This is coming along really nicely. I prefer the car on the right!
  21. I love it man!! nice colour choice - badass black
  22. It's placed with a rubber 2l beam behind. I think this photo explains it. https://goo.gl/photos/TgR8jNknyXUbQxrYA otherwise, just look at the instructions to see how it's done.
  23. Thorsten, you placed a 2l skinny beam between the 2 small black panels at the bottom. There shouldn't be anything between. Other than that it looks ok.
