  1. That's a tough one. I do struggle to create a framework that I feel will suit my build, but I have struggled many times over for the bodywork to come together and make sense. I would have to say I spend equal time on the framework and bodywork. After 2 hours of sorting, I have finally put each Technic piece in each pile. Next step is counting.... 2. How many days did it take to make the Chiron, or how many days do I think it'll take to complete the next build? I believe the Chiron took 120 hours and 3 months.
  3. No, no hints. But I'm sure you will not be seeing manual from me anytime soon...
  4. Thanks Aventador! Well I can say my next build will have a lot of input from Dugald on the framework.
  5. I wish all the AFOL community the luck of the patient wife. Its hard to find a good one thats ok with it. Once you do, shes a keeper
  6. So I figured I'd start sorting the easy colour first... so here is the full parts list of all red so you can start looking for blue. 7. Thank Aleh! Regarding the engine, This car had to have 16 working pistons, all of them fire in sequence. It was very important it worked as this is such an iconic car!
  8. I will be doing a full parts list as well. Hope to have it done by the end of the week. Can't wait to sort this mess! Bugatti Chiron - its parts list time! Can't wait to sort ? by lachlan cameron, on Flickr
  9. Blue would be a dream color! I wanted to build in Blue but had none. I can't wait to see it in true Bugatti color scheme! Axles are as follows: Bugatti Chiron - flex axle lengths by lachlan cameron, on Flickr You're building this one too? Your collection must be huge!! Excited to see the progress. You can see the flex axles in the above photo
  10. Alright, finally done the tear down. The full photo instructions are here: https://goo.gl/photos/TYFAPW11jpkdA2dTA I tried to leave the part count to a minimum for this build, but after I realized it didn't work Tear down 3: Bugatti Chiron tear down 3 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr Rear suspension: Bugatti Chiron tear down 3 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr Front Suspension: Bugatti Chiron tear down 3 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr Enjoy!
  11. Yeah until we get more power with lighter motors, we'll always be struggling to create realistic AND fast Lego builds. Until that day, we'll just have to make she with what we have, or build on a smaller scale for more speed to weight ratio.
  12. Couldn't have said it better myself. I wanted to be 100% sure no gears were slipping when driving this car. If I had geared up, I'd risk gears slipping.
  13. Thanks AFOLegofan66! Its been a busy day but I managed to get right down to the framework. Bugatti Chiron - tear down 2 Bugatti Chiron - Tear down 2 Bugatti Chiron - Tear down 2 Bugatti Chiron - Tear down 2 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr
  14. Oh man, that'd be so rad! I'd love to see it in blue. I am actually using fairly basic red pieces in this car as the majority is in black. Keep me posted with that progress man, thanks! 22. This build is epic!! The side shot is perfect. I love the engine bay and lights. Well done!!
  23. Thats a super original suspension! Just question, will that suspension hold up with the weight of all those motors?
