Simply mind-blowing. I have a couple of questions: - Do the turning signals and emergency lights flash thanks to the Buwizz controller or did you use Sariel's switch system? - Have you got any other pictures of the front axle? I'm amazed that you managed to work planetary portal axles, steering and diff lock into so little space!

Phenomenal build and side-splitting video. You always manage to outdo yourself - your models get better and better (and I can't recall anything of yours being less than outstanding) as do your clips, both in the editing and in how thoroughly engaging they are. Hats off to you, sir. -
Sure will! If you want, you can also send me a presentation in Dutch and English; I can translate it into Italian and have it translated into French and German. Maybe we can add some WIP pictures so visitors get a real feel for the building experience. Quick question: on step 15, is there a particular reason for using the assembly on the left rather than the one on the right?

I just ordered the handful of parts I'm short of to build this masterpiece. I'll try to exhibit it at Lego events here in northern Italy and possibly in Canton Ticino, if that's okay with you.

Here's a major screw-up - and a recent one, too I was working on this to clear my head from all the murkiness conjured up by my fledgling off-road tow truck. It's a two-speed crawler undercarriage with drive (2 L motors) and a subtractor (1 XL motor). In first gear (1:75) it crawls fine even with 2 Kg of ballast; in second gear (1:25) the difference in speed is barely noticeable even without ballast, whereas with ballast the L motors stall. Better shelve this until I learn how to build.

They can come out with a Technic turd sandwich as far as I'm concerned - as long as it's got interesting building techniques and is a good parts pack as well as good value for money, I'm fine. -
Live axles would also provide increased clearance and give you a ton of room for diff locks, which can be pretty useful (and fun!) if you want to use the vehicle on rough terrain.
-
Two ideas off the top of my head: 1) Get rid of those useless beams on the bottom (replace them with panels if need be), thus cutting the vehicle's weight and, consequently, the stress on the drivetrain. 2) Use live axles so you can mount portal hubs and gear down after the diff. Same outcome as above.

Given the time and effort that go into modelling a vehicle to the extent that it can be called a recognisable replica (only aesthetically, of course, because any patented inner workings are sure to be light-years beyond what is feasible with Lego) and making instructions for it, I doubt anyone is going to make a living out of selling instructions. Even then, what kind of bum rap would a company get if they told a respected MOCker to pull his/her instructions from the web? It's free exposure and it's not damaging them - quite the contrary, in fact; and today more than ever, bad press goes a long way in screwing up a company.

Awesome work again! -
This is such a beauty. I saw your tow truck on YT as well and was floored by how everything - both functionally and aesthetically - just flowed together and made sense. You've got tons of talent.

Does anyone know if the z24 gear has been redesigned? 42068 has one in what would normally be an illegal connection (but legal with a z24 clutch gear). I noticed the code in the instructions is different from that in, for instance, the instructions for 42042.- 5,466 replies

The big surprise is going to be set 42067: a massive combo of 42068, 42069 and 42070, in celebration of extreme colour vomit. Source: builder's burn-out. -
Phenomenal build! I'm amazed at how you manage to design and build such terrific models in so little time.
