  1. I like it - it looks nice and solid. Looking forward to a video. (Oh, and as a lover of everything Tuscan, I think that "Leonardo da Bricki" is the coolest nickname ever).
  2. Sure, Lego as a business can do whatever is in their best interest. I, as a long-time Lego user, can do the same, and since I would rather they kept their prices within reason (and please don't tell me the price of 42070 is within reason unless you can present a valid argument) I'm going to vent my disappointment to Lego themselves and on all the channels I can in the hope that something might change.
  3. So your'e suggesting that as Lego lovers we should just bow our heads in shame and accept that Lego has almost doubled the average price per piece overnight. Great attitude. You go ahead and enjoy your moral supination.
  4. It could be a mistranslation - the whole description is pretty awkward.
  5. Great build, Sariel. It'd take me at least two months of trial and error just to come close to anything remotely as compact and efficient. I've always loved your videos and with each one you seem to get better and better.
  6. Maybe the set has special new steering parts to limit tow-in.
  7. Love how nice and compact it is - great job!
  8. Great performance and looks - I love the colour scheme!
  9. This is probably a good start: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-2267/D3K/6x6-offroad-modular-truck/
  10. Why oh why have I only just noticed this topic? That arm is truly impressive. both in looks and in functions. Looking forward to seeing more!
  11. That's a lovely li'l truck you've designed there. I'm intrigued by the pendular suspension since it seems to be without shock absorbers. Could you post some more pics and provide a few more details? Thanks!
  12. Around 140K plus a dozen built models ready to be torn apart as needed (except for 8880 ).
  13. Complimenti, maestro! I love everything about this latest masterpiece of yours. The crane is orgasmic.
  14. One hour is barely enough to vent my hourly OCD quota.
  15. The outriggers on 42070 are ingenious in their simplicity.
  16. If you're after beams, frames, panels, gears and axles then 42055 can't be beaten. In the UK it often retails for under £125. If you just want pneumatics then go for 42053; if you also want an L motor, shock absorbers and other nifty parts then go for 42043 - which, by the way, isn't going to be around much longer.
  17. So no return of the 9.5L shock absorbers
  18. For most counts below 100, a German would find it more convenient the way he's set them up.
  19. Love your work, ImanoI! There's a lot to learn there. Incidentally, I believe Nicjasno mentioned that using a 9L towball arm as a Panhard rod instead of a 6L one greatly improves axle alignment.
  20. This is one awesome project! Really looking forward to seeing more. I'm not too sure about the rear axle, though - are you sure the geometry is correct? The way the towball arms and the shock absorbers are mounted is going to severely restrict movement.
  21. Looks terrific! Is there a lot of friction in the drivetrain?
  22. I'd try adding a differential. If that solves the problem but you want to preserve the truck's off-road capabilities you can add a diff lock as well. It looks like there's plenty of room for both.
  23. Paul Boratko's Scorpio Sheo's Terex Madoca's Avtoros
  24. Thanks for the heads-up on this - I never noticed it, since I'm in the habit of using the red gears as idlers and the old DBG ones with the driving rings. It's a rather disturbing design flaw, although it may be a trade-off for the red gear's smoother coupling.
