  1. Out of the 3 cannons, the 1st one looks best because it looks like LEGO cannons. Whether it is an already used design is irrelevant for me. If TLG considers to make a faction based on these designs, they will use it without any change (very unlikely) or they will keep only the color scheme, or only the general idea of crossed cannons. Either way, it doesn't really matter what kind of cannons are in the flag.
  2. Does anyone know, what is that long blue sheet on the table? As a whole, I love it! Especially the reindeers. The only thing that looks a little odd is Santa's armchair: the arms are too low.
  3. Black Sails is basically the prequel of the Treasure Island novel, which is the mother of every modern-day pirate conception with peg-leg, parrot on the shoulder, and an "X" that marks the buried treasure. So eventually the existence of Pirate theme is result of Treasure Island. I don't want to make any spoilers and this part will be unfolded of the 2nd season, but it is likely that we will know why on Earth would pirates bury the treasure instead of spending that fortune for a pool of rum or something.
  4. I don't see any LEGO here.
  5. Impressive! My favourite part is...everything!
  6. That constellation is on the wall
  7. This is closer to a skirt than to anything else. And she usually doesn't wear armor, the hair color cannot be seen on sculptures (are there any paintings left from the ancient greek era?), so for me, the LEGO form is a quite good interpretation of her. Anyway, I guess she is just a typical ancient warrior goddess and not a certain one. She is just closest the Athene than to anyone else. Ahh, these are so important questions!
  8. Those countries have beach towel-like pattern in their flags.
  9. I haven't been here for a few days only, and so many posts! That flag generator is superb! As for the voting, I think two votes, each for one guard/merchant flag would be enough. Or you can use my favourite, the condorcet method, but I'm not sure it can be used when you don't vote for all the possibilities. As for the name "beach towel" you can insult all the people of Israel and Thaliand.
  10. Ha-ha, that dragon! And don't worry, it has such a high standard as the Octopus Restaurant. It's a Petty pity that just a few will get this joke.
  11. Love the colors. The use of dark purple is like a trademark of yours.
  12. The curtains are clever. I hope we can see the interior soon.
  13. Those cakes!
  14. So many historic/fantasy figs, I love them! The bests are the hun warrior, the jester and the wizard. Only the lifeguard and the gamer boys look mediocre to me, so a great series!
  15. Greetings to all! After seeing the great „50 states in lego form” project, I decided to make one for my country, Hungary, with the 19 counties we have. I wanted only to share it on Hungarian forums, since many of the references I made are not even possible to explain for “outsiders”. But the teaser photo I uploaded was spotted by Eurobrick member Kristel, so the cat was out of the bag and I decided to post here those counties that I have a chance to explain. Those are mainly cover Hungarian traditions. The post have several links to show, what I am talking about J I hope you enjoy! Bács-Kiskun There are sand dunes in Hungary. Baranya Young men of Mohács dressed as Busó (with a wooden mask and sheep-fur coat) suppose to scare away winter at springtime. But they scare even those who are scary themselves! Békés The famous sausage of the town of Gyula. But you have to fight for it! Csongrád „You don’t need that much paprika into the fish-soup!” Győr-Moson-Sopron The quarries of Fertőrákos are visited not only by tourists... Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok The Great Plain of Hungary. Komárom-Esztergom „I guess we are at the wrong track, sir” – Bábolna horse breeding Nógrád “I can’t believe there’s a heat wave in Budapest.” Zabar, the village with the most lowest temperature record in the country. Somogy Balaton, the “sea” of Hungary. Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg Hard choice after harvesting plums. Marmalade or pálinka liquor? Tolna The forest of Gemenc. Vas Small villages in the area, close to each other.
  16. Very nice and very detailed. And I'm in.. But that's not alchemy, that's science.
  17. THe first picture with the microbuild looks good - cleverly blurring it to hide the details :) I love reading these stories, seeing where they lead. Keep on!
  18. The huge poster above the entrance and all the other posters inside are superb! I'm a huge fan of shops (and build a lot of them :) ) and love placing as many goods inside as possible. You did a great job displaying those many sport accessories. A simple but clever way you placed the skis at the wall.

    MOC - Bakery

My favourite is the shop entrance with the jam stand, and the shop stuffed with goodies looks delicious!
  20. Now I'm sure that the skeleton is white and not tan. (I had a slight hope unitil this) And that chemist girl seems like someone's having a bad day. I know that everyone smiling would be boring, but even a determined expression would have been better than this "oh crap, another failed experiment!".
  21. Love it! Are the japanese-themed stickers on the doors/walls custom or come from a set? And what is that knob next to the dining area at the back doing on the wall? Some kind of mechanism in the aquarium?
  22. I'm happy that the timeline got back to normal. Great review! I love that turtle. I'm dreaming of a polybag with it.
  23. I came across these a few months ago, it's brilliant. There were a few that made me think and after it hit me - like South Dakota. I never knew where Mount Rushmore is. And why does South Carolina has a moving house? EDIT: After reading the comments like the one with Chimney Rock, I have to realize that some jokes are unnoticed by me.
