  1. Here is the progress so far on my TC9 entry, at least the A model: The A model is log skidder with articulated steering, a movable arm, and a closing/opening claw. I do not know what I will do for the B model, but probably something else with articulated steering, because I don't have many steering elements incorporated into the A model. The arm is controlled with the middle knob, the steering with the knob on the corner, and the claw with the gear attached to it. Here are a few more pictures:
  2. Thanks! It might be a while, the bodywork is going slowly.
  3. You might want to look into a smaller engine model if you want a V12. Have you seen this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsOZaLeu2DU ?
  4. If you want to replicate leaf-springs, try flexible axles.
  5. If your B model is not a car, it might be hard to fit in some of those specialized pieces.
  6. So are the pneumatics for rotating the blade?
  7. That looks really good! It seems to drive quite well too.
  8. Does anyone here know of any sets that in the instructions ask you to cut 3mm rigid hose? I know that old Technic sets asked you to cut 4mm pneumatic hose, but was it the same way with 3mm ever? Maybe one of the people who has been in the hobby longer than I have could answer this. Thanks in advance.
  9. I am a bit confused by this. From what I can tell, LEGO used to require you to cut your own pneumatic tubes, so I am fine with that, but I am not sure about 3mm hose. Does this mean I can cut it to lengths that LEGO produces?
  10. When it says no cutting pieces, does that include not cutting 3mm flex tube and 4mm pneumatic tubes?
  11. LEGO is never going to make a slaughterhouse set. And, from the shift we've seen to renewable resources, it seems more likely that LEGO would build a solar farm set rather than a coal mine.
  12. I thing I saw once to prevent the end from cracking is to put a 2x2 round plate around it: http://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-round-plate-2-x-2-with-axle-hole-older-style-with-axle-hole-4032
  13. It looks like a 4l axle with stop. The stop is between two of the engine block pieces.
  14. Goos to know that there are still some great hands-on mocs out there!
  15. Are these the universal joints that you put in the ball joint piece or somewhere else?
  16. I think I like this one more that the 8263 snow groomer from a while back.
  17. Are there any pneumatic engines that run at a reasonable rpm without modified parts?
  18. Does anyone know of any good designs for pneumatic engines with the new (v2) cylinders, those that came in the Mercedes Arocs? And preferably one that does not involve modifying pieces.
  19. That looks really good! I love all the body details on the front.
  20. Back in my foolish youth I bought a few clone bricks. Turns out, mega bloks are no match for assorted carpentry equipment.
  21. I think the reason these don't pass as Technic is that they have no functionality. If they had more mechanical functions, they would pass for technic.
  22. Wow, that's really cool! Are all those vehicles MOCs of yours?
  23. Beautiful, and instantly recognizable!
