  1. Is anyone else disturbed by the dalmatian print on Cruella de Vil's dress? The whole point of 101 Dalmatians that she wants to make a dress out of puppies... so it looks like in some alternate timeline, she did just that!
  2. Don't forget that the Eugenics Wars of the 1990's / early 2000's never happened!
  3. @zephyr1934 That ex-EBT standard gauge 0-6-0 switcher had it's main rods cut in three places per side. It is now repainted and on display in a RR park somewhere in Red Bay, Alabama. See here for some pictures of it by a Flickr user I follow... it's very sad. ...Anyway, I love the MOC @XG BC! You nailed the abandoned RR look!
  4. For January 1 releases, I'm usually in line about two hours (give or take) before the store opens, and I'm usually not the first there. The one mall here in St. Louis with a LEGO store opens at 10, and the mad dash from the mall entrance door line to the LEGO store line is certifiably insane. The final line that forms at the store merges from multiple entrance door lines. Luckily, this year I managed to have a family member snag one online for me at midnight as they were ordering the entire Animal Crossing wave. (so I avoided the melee!)
  5. Thanks everyone, I've passed the comments on to him!
  6. did it ever work for you @SpacePolice89?
  7. My brother who doesn't have an EB account made this recolor of the 2024 Downtown Streetcar set into Metroliner colors and asked me to share it and his Flickr stream. Hope that's ok @JopieK and I hope you guys like it. He really is proud of it. I'm sharing it here because it's his only picture of it and it doesn't really warrant it's own thread with just one picture.
  8. @Lemerbrix if you leave, it'll be sad to see you go. Good luck wherever you go, have fun whatever you do, and may your brown bricks never be brittle, the presents you get always rattle, and your life be full of Danish ABS plastic forevermore!
  9. I'm a little early by about 7 1/2 hours, but HAPPY NEW YEAR!

  10. Jyn Erso: 'You're rebels, right? Well, I rebel.' (I'm so glad they got rid of that line in the finished film) Also: Happy New Year everyone!
  11. We need Q and a mariachi band!
  12. Tagging @Jim for help here with this.
  13. Welcome to Eurobricks! @SavaTheAggie has done something using a similar method with his 'quarter scale rail' project, which you can see here in his Flickr album about it. Also, as a side note: Eurobricks isn't meant to host photos @CodeHard. You need to find a outside site to host them like Flickr, Instagram, Bricksafe, or another site, then link them into your post. @JopieK can help you more with that as he's our moderator here in train tech.
  14. Why not both a crew battle-pack and the ship? That way people with the old set from 2011 have more crew, and people who have the new one also have more crewmembers. Win-win. Throw in a British redcoats (without flesh showing on torsos) battle-pack as well for extra fun, and it also is a win for older Pirates fans who can swap heads and hands for yellow. Win-Win-Win. After all, LEGO is in business to make money, and this would make them mountains of it. It's just good business () and would make the most sense to do this.
  15. 60473 is also a missing number when comparing this list and the winter wave launching Jan 1.
  16. Maybe it's not a complete list of upcoming sets? We don't usually get LEGO exclusives on the lists this far out, for example. These early lists usually comes from retailers like Walmart, Target, and so on... so it's possible this isn't everything. I noticed there are a lot of set numbers missing, such as 60468 and 60473. What could they be?
  17. NEW info on summer train sets courtesy of @LCP over in town forum! @JopieK can you update the first post please with this new info?
  18. I've had this MOC (originally inspired by the bank from set 79109, Colby City Showdown from the 2013 Lone Ranger theme) made in the real world for about a decade, and I thought it was high time to redo it into a modular style, as it is very close to that scale / size. I added a new neon sign out front that says 'piano bar' to the model, as the old 'saloon' one was removed seven years ago and it didn't look good anyway. You can view the original 2015 neon sign here. The 1890s-style building has two floors, a flat roof, and a removable base for easy conversion from modular to non-modular. The rear of the building really hasn't got any details. On this level are the bar where drinks are served, a few tables, and the stairs to the second floor. Of course, with this build being set in the 1920s, all the drinks are non-alcoholic. (...or at least they're supposed to be!) On the second floor is the piano and more tables. I can just about hear the piano player now... Thoughts, comments, questions and so on are welcome!
  19. I was wondering when someone would do something like this, as this is exactly what they should have been selling in the first place instead of an open-back bunch of buildings! Keep up the good work @Berthil - you've done a fantastic job adapting this!
  20. The three coaches for this train are totally finished (they are boxed up with the loco and not shown here), but the baggage and observation cars are still waiting on 24 parts to arrive. This last order should be here December 31st. (I hope!)
  21. "...and they think it will make their lives easier But the doorway before them is barred..." (good song choice, @Toastie. I've actually seen Alan Parsons in concert and he played this song-series) But anyway, more to topic: I do not look forward to (yet another) silly system to power LEGO creations. 9V was the one of my childhood, and that was so good that even the LEGO house uses it in their displays! But what do I know? I don't normally power my creations due to the lack of space for battery box, motors, and so on. Hover, on rare occasion I can do so, 9V is the only system I build compatibility for into my trains. Simply put: PF was okay, 9v was better, 12v was the best (but not available in the states), 4.5v exists, RC sucks and so does PU.
  22. One of the final boxes is coming today, and the last package should be here New years Eve, if the tracking is to believed. However, it could easily be here sooner or much, much later. EDIT: Three of the five cars (all coaches) are now built, with the last two (the observation and baggage cars) are in a state of partially completeness, @Shiva. I hope to have them done as soon as possible. (I.E. when the last package arrives)
  23. My Blacktron space base's 100 remaining parts have been ordered as of yesterday. Stay tuned for updates in the New Year for this model and others!
  24. Yes, 12 is twice as wide as a normal train, but you would also have to make it a lot taller and it would look funny there too. It all has to be in proportion to each other...
