Space... vast and endless as time itself, yet filled with many lifeforms bound by Creativity. The Odyssey project was designed to protect life from the forces of Chaos and Destruction, no matter the cost. But it serves another purpose too, as a gathering place of aliens races' leaders and a meeting of the great inventive minds in the universe. From times of war to times of peace, the Odyssey space station has stood proudly as a beacon of light to the many worlds darkened by the forces of evil. Now that beacon is threatened by mysterious forces from beyond our dimension, plus old foes that have resurfaced in this time of peril. The plea has gone out for help to save Imagination... Will YOU answer the Call? Fictional info: This space station (named Odyssey II) orbits the ice world of Beta Polaris, pointed at the direction of the trans-dimensional rip in space-time that leads to Lego Universe, ready to report any threat that may emerge from the space between spaces. Odyssey II is both an advanced weapons research platform and a forum for great minds and leaders from throughout the universe. The station is the headquarters for the Neo Nexus Force, (in cooperation with the Norsta race, of course) and the home of Nexus - Polaris University. This school focuses on the meaning of time and space itself, plus performing experiments on hyper-space streamlining, artificial gravity production, theoretical physics, and sports. (Let's go Nexo-nauts!) (this picture has a description of the areas of the station. See here for a bigger look at the picture so you can read it!) Their are meeting rooms on one of the half of the two arms of the station, which provides the gravity for this section like a centrifuge. As such, this section is laid out so that the "ground" is towards the ends of the arms, with the center having lower gravity and the non-public front and back of the station have none and you can float weightless in. The other one of the arms features a large research facility, with many libraries and even a small university focused on the study of space, time and the many mysteries therein. The station also has "the wheel". This module provides living quarters for all the university staff, visitors, and station crew, and gravity is provided by the "ground" being the outer wall of the arms. The engines on this station allow it to move if need be, even through hyper-space, though this has never happened on a large scale beyond course correction and maintaining balance in it's orbit of Beta Polaris. Here we see one of the Neo-Nexus Force ships (the cruiser Bright Hope) docked on one of the four "gravity locks". These allow for the ship to sync up with the station and crew / passengers to disembark the ship. The solar panels on the station are actually detectors of chaos energy, which would mean the breach between Universes is open once more and the evil of the Maelstrom is coming through. This would mean the station would be evacuated of civilian personnel and the military forces bolstered, ready to attack the swirling mass of darkness. The Bridge Hope in miniature scale. (This was designed by my brother to be a counterpart to the Odyssey II space station. It is based off my mini-figure scale ship of the same name: Bright Hope) This vessel is included in the LDD file. (In reality the space station model was inspired by this model by DcotorSpock888: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dr_spock_888/20558633496/in/dateposted/ plus the Babylon 5 and Star Trek TV series', the Star Wars universe, and the old LEGO Universe massive multiplayer online game.) As usual, Comments, Questions, and Complaints are welcome! EDIT 3/9/17: The model has been updated, and the pictures retaken and uploaded.

It happened again, this time in messenger. I included the whole post, as it was just a conversation about an old model of mine: <p> ZeldaTheSwordsman, on 11 September 2016 - 03:19 PM, said: <br /> Alright. Fair warning, a lot of this falls under "Why did you mess with something that wasn't broken?"<br /> <br /> Well, the main thing would be the changes you made to the windows. First, the color. The brown you used suggests dark stained or painted wooden frames, and doesn't quite fit the look thus. The white the original set used is actually more appropriate to the kind of station the set is designed to be, from what I've seen - the frames are often white, or close to it, in the photos I've looked at. Second, on the original, the windows on the waiting room side are intended to represent tall windows broken up into several small panes. These are also a common sight on such stations. The redesign you did.. I'm not sure what you were going for. It looks like a messy attempt at arched windows, and lacks the appearance of being all one window.<br /> <br /> Then there's what you did to the platform. The position of the 2x4 slopes seems like it would create an excessive gap between the platform and the doors of carriages. Second, the railing curving around to block off the ends just plain makes no sense - there's nothing to indicate that some of that is supposed to be a gate, so what's the point? Finally, real platforms that high have a ramp on at least one end so that cargo and luggage and whatnot can be wheeled onto the platform.<br /> <br /> This is minor, but usually stations like that don't have a clock on the street side. They have a nameboard or the railroad's logo or a statue or something.<br /> <br /> I'm also curious as to why you got rid of the benches, lamps, planters, and cafe.<br /> <br /> Finally, why did you call the original 4554 a "stub-end" station? </p> <p> </p> <p>This model is so out of date it's not funny, but here goes nothing. (Please note I fixed almost all your points in the second version from 2014 as see in here: <a href="http://www.moc-pages....php/386673</a>)</p> <p> </p> <p>1. I wanted the station, and I wanted to do it my way with a street side. The windows were the best I could come up with for the time.</p> <p> </p> <p>2. The platform was done as so because i was naive and couldn't think of a better way to do it, so i stole from set 7997.</p> <p> </p> <p>3. I replaced the 2x4's with 2x3 slopes.</p> <p> </p> <p>4. The benches, light poles and pizzeria has been re-added into the later version.</p> <p> </p> <p>5. The stub end was referring to the MOC I saw of the station, not the set.</p> <p> </p> <p>Hope this helps!</p>

Fictional background info: Built in 1919 by the evil country of OGEL, the Vladek is a diesel powered battle cruiser originally intended for use by finding enemy ships and sinking them with it's nine guns on three turrets. This ship was finished too late to serve in World War I, and so sat until 1922, when Lord Sam Sinister manged to convince the mysterious leader of OGEL to let him borrow it to scourer the globe looking for valuable and dangerous artifacts of immense power. The Vladek has been Sam's base of operations in several campaigns such the Orient Expedition and Dino Island, and he has the full might of the OGEL military behind him as his personal army. Only time will tell if that is enough to stop Johnny Thunder and his pals! In the Real world: This Adventurers-style ship happens to be based off set 3829, Fire Nation Ship from a decade ago. (2006) The ship is 85 studs long, while being made to be 20 bricks in height and 16 studs in width. The ship is modular, with the roof and bridge removable from the war room and each other. The menacing skull on the bow of the battlercruiser signifies it's evil captain and crew! The bow, or front, of the ship is tapered to a point much like on my 1920's Tramp Steamship. while the stern (or rear) is pretty flat. The name "Vladek" should go on the exposed studs back of the ship, as that's the vessel's name. (I haven't got those letters yet!) The vessel features two funnels and room in the lower level for the war room, complete with a large map table. The upper floor features the wheel and a nautical telegraph. The ship has three turrets with three barrels each that can elevate up and down or rotate left to right. The crew of the battle-cruiser Vladek is on the right, while Captain Hawkins is on the left. As usual, comments, questions, or complaints are always welcome! EDIT: This vessel's was constructed just today, 1/4/17, and the page has been restructured once more. I hope you like it!

The Spirit of Legoredo was my one of my first big trains, and was built in 2011 with a baggage car, three passenger coaches, and observation car. It looked good to me at first, in nearly all black with a red stripe at the base, but over the years was quietly forgotten about, as it was quite dull-looking to others and hard to take pictures of. Then I switched magnet types to the newer ones, and it became even harder show off as it didn't match the rest of my newer train fleet. That is, until I added a new locomotive to the head end and one more passenger car. (changing the colors up a bit from mainly black to mostly red doesn't hurt much either!) In reality, this 7-wide loco began life as a 2-8-4 Berkshire type built by @Plastic_Goth and purchased from Rebrickable a seen here. I upped the wheel count by another leading axle, (making it into a 4-8-4 Northern-type) and I then decided to imitate the famous South African Railways 'Red Devil' in color-scheme. The pistons are entirely my own work, as is the tender. More details can be seen here on the SAR Red Devil locomotive. The rear of the engine has a slightly changed coal bunker side walls compared to the 2-8-4 Berkshire MOD I posted earlier in the week. The baggage car. These cars were all inspired by The Santa Fe Super Chief cars (10022 and 10025) and the Emerald Night's coach. (10194) The four streamlined coaches of the train. Each car on this train is 28 studs long, which is longer than my usual 24 studs long standard. Observation car of the Spirit of Legoredo passenger train. The original way these cars were styled had them all black and with a red base stripe, but I have added dark bluish gray fluting and a lot more red to the mix to make them easier to take pictures of. Comments, questions, and complaints are always welcome! EDIT 4/23/21: Added a different steam loco to the fist post.

NIFT-E retro robot MOD - Neo Nexus Force - LEGO Universe
Murdoch17 replied to Murdoch17's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Maybe. This thread has more Neo Nexus Force builds, and I'm updating it as we speak! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=106512&hl= The robot's head issue has been fixed by my co-commander Scott Bourgeois, so here is his version: http://www.moc-pages.com/user_images/103974/1473457139m.lxf My version will be updated in turn very soon. -
This is a mod of set 40128, as seen here: http://brickset.com/sets/40128-1/Robot Fictional background info: The NIFT-E robot was designed in 2015 to compliment the thousands of Sentry (4416) series robots produced in 2006 by the X-POD corporation for the original Nexus Force founders. However, the newer robots produced by Yesterday's Tomorrow Corporation are coated with a hard-to-find mineral called Retro-nite to better protect from Maelstrom corruption. As a side effect of this mineral makes use of a retro-futuristic design which won over Commander Bob of the Neo Nexus Force. (He is seen in the main pic alongside the first NIFT-E) Thirty-four of these robots were produced as a test batch, called the Nexus Iron Friendly Teammate - Engineer class (NIFT-E) for use as spaceship ground-crew and basic engineering duties, including fueling and maintenance, computer updating, and guiding ships into land. They work alongside human counterparts who work on the harder to reach areas of a ship's engine and take care of life support systems and crew comforts. Each human crewman is assigned an NIFT-E counterpart, in which they are partners working towards the same goal: keeping the ships flying and repair bay as empty as possible in case of emergency. This robot requires one part not in LDD, AKA this printed part ( http://www.bricklink...sp?P=15068pb004 ) goes on the center of his chest. The Rear of the NIFT-E.... nothing to see here! LDD file for the NIFT-E and Bob: http://www.moc-pages...1473453461m.lxf NOTE: The robot's head will not turn no matter what I do to the file, even though it's on a turn-plate. If you do need to turn his head, remove it, and then replace it when the turntable is placed int he correct position. (Name of the robot provided by a good friend of mine after looking for a neat 1950's sounding name) This robot will go alongside two more spaceships, an enlarged landing pad and a new car for Bob on my Nexus Force Ice Station Destiny space base when built in real life. Here's what the base looks back in late 2015. Any comments, questions and complaints are welcome.

Wild West - Trains, Town, Military and mini-figures
Murdoch17 replied to Murdoch17's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thank you! here is all three trains at once: Thanks, and MOCpages keeps going down more and more.... I hope that's not a bad sign, as all my LDD files are on there for the last 5 years! Thank you, I'm glad I'm helping keep the theme alive!- 109 replies

Wild West - Trains, Town, Military and mini-figures
Murdoch17 replied to Murdoch17's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I feel really bad about bumping this again, but here goes nothing: I've uploaded the yellow 4-4-0 steam loco and it's freight train to the first post, plus the LDD files are there too. Along with the fort and stagecoach, these will likely be gotten between now and New Years. The bridge and tunnel will have to wait a while longer, as I can't justify the hefty price tag for now. Maybe next spring it could happen, but I don't know if they will ever be built to be honest...- 109 replies

4-2-4 and 4-4-0 Western Steam locos and their trains
Murdoch17 replied to Murdoch17's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Sorry for the bump, but the yellow 4-4-0 and it's freight train have been added to the first post. The red 4-6-0 has also had it's ldd file updated, but the passenger train file isn't there yet. -
Looking very nice, I love the puffing billy! However, just so you know, you might want to resize your pictures.... The site guidelines say around 800 x 600 is normally good. Not trying to mini-mod, just trying to help.

(Mods, please note I wasn't sure where to put this, as it's a train / western / comic starring a few licensed Disney characters. Please put it where you think it should go!) In this thrilling tale of 60 miles-per-hour high speed adventure, the outlaw Blackheart Gang) switches a weapons-laden military train onto the same track as a unscheduled special, with disastrous consequences! See each sequence of this horrifying tale in colorized photographs and you too will ride the midnight train to Adventure! 7:07 PM - Denver Colorado: The military train pulled by engine 1 is heading out of the yard and onto the main line towards San Francisco. It is crewed by a small group of soldiers, plus fireman Samuel McGee and engineer Joseph W. Jackson. 8:00PM - Carson City, Nevada In another rail yard, the crew of the unscheduled special charter train pulled by loco number 3 is making sure the engine is spotless and ready to pick up it's party of potential railroad investors. The train is supposed to pass trough Fort Legoredo at 9:30 that evening, where it will let the military train pass by on a side track. 8:40PM - Fort Legoredo While making his hourly rounds, the station master of the Fort's railway station is ambushed by three Blackheart Gang members, and he is relieved of his switch keys. While trying to escape, he trips on an exposed rock and falls, where upon he is then shot dead. 9:23PM The switches are set for the freight train to fall into the hands of the gang, when a different whistle is heard from the other end of the track causing the bandits to hurriedly switch the tracks back to allow the special to pass by. 9:30PM With both train approaching the same switch at the same time, the gang works quickly to allow the passenger train pass by, but still diverting the convoy train. 9:32PM The engineer and fireman of the military train see what is about to happen and jump to the ground with the iron steed still powering on towards the switched track! 9:40PM The train reaches the end of the side track and derails, with steam and steel flying everywhere. Horses and cannons are sent scattered across the tracks, and the sleeping soldiers on-board will never wake again. 10:20PM After stealing all they and their horses can carry, the Blackheart gang set the steam engine to explode, then set off into the darkness. A posse rides out later that night from the local village to check out what made the explosion and they discover the gristly wreck. Meanwhile, out in the desert, the Blackheart gang begin to plan their next move. THE END Any and all thoughts, comments, complaints, and questions are welcome. This non-moving picture was shot on three 6 x 3 foot tables with a cell phone camera and no special effects... just so you know. Thanks for reading!!

4-2-4 and 4-4-0 Western Steam locos and their trains
Murdoch17 replied to Murdoch17's topic in LEGO Train Tech
EDIT 9/1/16 - I just added real life pictures, modified their descriptions and updated the LDD files in the main post! -
Glad to have you back, but I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I can tell you from my experience as a child of a divorce that it's not fun... and being Autistic (if i recall correctly, your son is too?) doesn't help on bit. Personally, I would keep the trains he played with the most. It may really hurt to use them now, but in the long term it may help you heal to keep them around... and who knows, maybe somewhere along the line, many years from now, your daughters' future children might possibly like them too.

I was using the simple editor and the big editor, and i have Windows 10 with Google Chrome. I guess it was just a fluke!

Thank you rick. I did that three times before giving up.... i guess I did so too early!
