Location: H03 Tags: Engineer, building Being away from home is hard, probably for everyone. For Zaael though. It's not that hard, he thinks. Born in a galaxy far away from Andromeda's Gates he has been on the move all his life. His father was an explorer, his mother a scientist. They made quite a buck for Octan discovering new planets and resources. Z was never really into exploring or science. He designed his first mining rig when he was just a kid. From mining rigs it went bigger and bigger. At the age of 18 he had build whole cities on more than a dozen planets. Z was living big, had it all. Untill he lost it all... Computer: Incomming call from Jacques LaRose... Zaael: Yes, Jacques, hi, what's up? I'm busy building stuff. Jacques: Hey Big Z, I need your help, one of my mining droids broke down. And I need a place to sleep. Could you do some... you know... engineering? Zaael: Really Jacques? You call because you can't even fix your own droids? And need a bed?!? Geez man! Jacques: Hehe, yes, I'll owe you. Zaael: Yes, you already did... Jacques: Oh come on! I have some info on Isabel. Dr Long heard from Pombe. Sounded really interesting. Zaael: Isabel?!? I'm on my way! News about Isabel, was she alive? That would be... the best news in a long time. Maybe, if she really is, I could invite her here. My new home!

These are the coördinates Pombe gave me. There should be something interesting here. He told me something about ancient buildings... Woah! What's this!?! This is ancient indeed! My meter is going nuts. Yikes!! AAAAAAAH!!! Panix!!!!!!! *runs around in circles for approximately 2 minutes and 23 seconds* Wait, hold on, stop, think. This is what Dr. Long warned me about. This is why I spend the whole night building yesterday. Yes! This is what I build little monster. Specially for you! You can come check it out... *laughs manically* HAH!! Got ya! Dr. Long is gonna like this specimen! Iet ies aliiiiive!! This will be the first!! Moehahahahah!

Communications / Supply Station Linopeia III [M-B03] Lady Kianna, Engineer 30 Maian 3185 Engineer’s Log: Hot today, dry, no signs of man eating yellow or brown frogs. Finished installation of the forward Communication and Supply Station. All systems are working perfectly. Installed the security perimeter towers in six locations around the site. Supplies fully stocked, one Orbit Bar noted as missing. Galactic Juice, Hydrolyzed Water, Corporate Coffee, full stocked. Energy generators and power rods, stocked. Will need to send special report to HQ; pure Awesomnium detected by accident when drilling for support poles for the station. Containment rings placed around two wells, bubbling with Awesomnium. Moved location of supports, station is stable. Side Notes: The Awesomnium seems to be located under sage like plants with bright red flowers. As the lakes recede and the ground drys there seem to be no signs of the frogs, they must need the wet sandy soil. As I was leaving I noticed a third Awesomniun spring bubbling up under a sage plant near the front of the station. That brings the total number of wells to three. This is a superb site for drilling. I will send a full report upon return, calling for pick-up from site now. Lady Kianna ending log report. Front view Ramp down front view. Interior view. Side view, new Awesomnium spring. C&C Welcome. Hope you enjoyed it!

Mission 5 Diving Rig Buoy Operations Location: Wastyria [H09] Tags: Civil, Ocean Engineering Leroy: Hi there Boxerlego. I'm Leroy, over there is Steve, and that is Jill. Welcome to the Octan Diving Platform. Boxerlego: Thanks, It nice to finally step foot on the diving platform I designed. Lets get things going. I will get the raft ready. Leroy: Alright, First let do a quick equipment check before we start. Steve how is the Air tanks. Steve: Air pressure is at max Leroy. Leroy: Great! Now get to the lower deck Steve and get the buoys ready. Jill how is the diving gear. Jill: Diving gear is ready. Leroy: Great Jill! Now get a life vest on and grab a radio. Then get the in raft with boxer and be ready to head out. You will be driving the raft around while Boxer deploys the buoys. I will be keeping a look out from here. Jill: Roger Leroy. Hey Steve, Make sure the buoys are secure on the rope. I don't want one coming undone while I'm out driving. Steve: Looks likes all buoys are secured good Jill. Boxer did a good job. Leroy: Good now let get those buoys in the water Steve. How is everything Boxerlego. Boxerlego: I'm finish with getting raft free from the dock and wrapping up the rope in the raft. Jill: Fantastic. Now move over and make some space for me so I can start the engine up. (raft starts to make motor boat noise "pup-put-put-pup-put") Boxerlego: Here we go!

Mission 3 The Black Granite Find Location: Jen's Star Tags. Civil, Surveying Start Transmission It has been 3 weeks that I've been on Jen's Star. My recent discovery is a Black Granite rock bed down around the mountain base. This is a great find of Black Granite according to the Rock Scanner which is showing rich levels of Cobalt and Silver. Radioactivity is normal. Now according to the geology field guide Black Granite is typically found around once Volcanic active regions but luckily this area hasn't seen a volcanic activity for over thousands years according to interpretations from Satellite Scans. No wonder this planet has alien activity on it. The Black Granite here is ripe for the gathering. End of Transmission.

Mission 4 Mountain Top Weather Station Location: Arium Minor Tags. Civil, Weather Engineering Start Transmission My activities on Jen's Star has been suspended with out further notice and I have been transported to a new planet sector. My new objective is to install a range of weather equipment on Arium Minor so that our Exploration team know what is going on with the current weather situation and not be caught up in a sudden Hail storm. Lucky for me I will be the first to know what is going on with the current weather situation. But at least after the Lighting Rod/Antenna is set up everybody wont haft to worry about random lighting strikes to much... Once on Arium Minor. Well that is it I finally hook everything and primed the heat system for a go so parts don't freeze up. The infrared lighting appears to be working right, I can already feel the heat being emitted. The barometric pressure readings are the same as mine. Now that is done what is next. Whoa check out the sudden burst of wind speed. That is fast. Look like the wind activity is picking up. Better get out of her while the time is right. End of Transmission

[Challenge 1] Jen's Star Mountain Side Well with the help from the tutorials here is my first Snot scene done in LDD and render with POV ray. This build represent Jens Stars Mountainous Terrain with near vertical mountain side cliffs that have hidden pocket of crystals along with vast fields of wild flowers. I made most of the mountain scene with my own bricks on a flat base plate but then I had to moved my build to LDD to complete the landscape because I wanted a detailed rocky terrain look then just a mountain scene connected to a flat base plate. Week 2: Transmission 3 AD3851 Maian 23 Location: G05 - Jen's Star Tags: Civil, Building After mapping out a sector of the Cave system I came to a vast underground water aquifer. The cave area was pretty big around the water so I decided that this area would be a good spot to put the Water pumps. The supplies for the Water ram pumps came quickly and was a very easy to assemble. The great thing about these water ram pumps is that it uses no electricity to move water up through the cave system and will work none stop always pumping water.

Okay, I might've overdone it a little this week. The build consists of 2331 pieces and should be legal/stable (I've actually added a couple of "bearing pillars" behind the scenes, so it would make sense in real life. This is a continuation of Commander/Agent Beltar's build from earlier this week (which can be found here: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=109963), and it's actually implemented (almost in its entirety) in this one). I hope you like it! Tags: Building, Mining, Space, Kawashita, Engineer, Structure --//Transmission Begin. Date: 3105(38)15. Scramble code: kliuJHBGaow8a3rllvmMma.//-- Q's log: The Hamilton Belt Mining, 31 Maian 3815 I arrived at the asteriod which Agent Beltar discovered last week on D10, The Hamilton Belt. As Mister S noted, it is quite peculiar to find liquid Awsomnium on an asteroid like this. However, I do have a theory to why this is the case here. After doing some readings, I found that the whole asteroid is highly ferrous (Note to self: After Awsomnium mining is finished, consider asteroid for metal mining). Due to the high frequency, rotation of the asteriod, this result in creating a highly erratic magnetic field. Now, if the once solid Awsomnium deposits of the asteriod suddenly became liquid, such as through a high energy Gamma burst from a nearby star, the quickly shifting magnetic would probably be enough to infuse the Awsomnium with enough energy for it to stay liquid. Hmmm... The magnetic field would actually also explain Beltar's difficulty in reaching HQ, as it would scramble most of his transmissions. Very impressive of his robot, PauL, to withstand such a field... In all honesty, it almost seems like PauL has been able to withstand... *ehm*... "scrambling"... better than his owner. When we arrived, Beltar started shouting... actually, it's probably better if I include the actual recording: Q's log: Arrival at The Hamilton Belt, 29 Maian 2815. Audio recording. Beltar: "ARE YOU HERE? REALLY? OR ARE you just in my mind? Like the others?" Q: "I can assure you Agent, me and my crew is really here, and we're here to extract the deposits you found." B: "OH, YES! There's so much Awsomnium, you should really see it! Okay, bye." Q: "Yes, we will, that's why we're here... wait, are you going? Where? B: "Can't talk, must get off this rock. Been here 2 weeks. Bye. PauL, let's go!" PauL: "Yes sir." Recording end. Seriously, that guy hasn't had any real contacts with humans in weeks, he has this conversation, and then 10 minutes later, he is off? I hope he turns out okay, especially considering that he left most of his resources here. Also... what's up with his skin tone? Anyway, back to the matter at hand... The mining is going well, despite there being some... interesting abnormalities as a result of finding liquid Awsomnium on such a small asteroid. First of all there is the gravity. The Awsomnium doesn't stream and fall as much as just... floating in different directions. However, the effect is not as noticable as one might think - I estimate that the Awsomnium is still "falling" at a pace around 1/5 of Terra's gravity - once again a result of the asteroid's magnetic fields. Still, there is something oddly soothing about watching those slow-falling purple "water falls". In order to pump up the Awsomnium in the most efficient way, I've invented a pump type which I call "The Sweeper". Essentially, what it does is have a number of autonomous, semi-intelligent "arms", which home in on fast flowing Awsomnium currents, leading them to the "final resting place", and when that is swept up, back to the original well. At the moment, Awsomnium seems to be flowing from the core faster than we are able to sweep it up (again, the magnetic fields), but I have my crew out, making adjustments, in order to bolster the Sweeper's efficiency. There also seem to be some durability issues with the pipes due to the extremely high energy density of floating Awsomnium. Still, it's not outside the expected range. I expect that, when running at full capacity, we should be able to extract all Awsomnium from the asteroid within 2-3 weeks, generating 25-30 standard size tanks, which should be able to power our fleet for at least a couple of weeks. This is a mod of set 40128, as seen here: http://brickset.com/sets/40128-1/Robot Fictional background info: The NIFT-E robot was designed in 2015 to compliment the thousands of Sentry (4416) series robots produced in 2006 by the X-POD corporation for the original Nexus Force founders. However, the newer robots produced by Yesterday's Tomorrow Corporation are coated with a hard-to-find mineral called Retro-nite to better protect from Maelstrom corruption. As a side effect of this mineral makes use of a retro-futuristic design which won over Commander Bob of the Neo Nexus Force. (He is seen in the main pic alongside the first NIFT-E) Thirty-four of these robots were produced as a test batch, called the Nexus Iron Friendly Teammate - Engineer class (NIFT-E) for use as spaceship ground-crew and basic engineering duties, including fueling and maintenance, computer updating, and guiding ships into land. They work alongside human counterparts who work on the harder to reach areas of a ship's engine and take care of life support systems and crew comforts. Each human crewman is assigned an NIFT-E counterpart, in which they are partners working towards the same goal: keeping the ships flying and repair bay as empty as possible in case of emergency. This robot requires one part not in LDD, AKA this printed part ( http://www.bricklink...sp?P=15068pb004 ) goes on the center of his chest. The Rear of the NIFT-E.... nothing to see here! LDD file for the NIFT-E and Bob: http://www.moc-pages...1473453461m.lxf NOTE: The robot's head will not turn no matter what I do to the file, even though it's on a turn-plate. If you do need to turn his head, remove it, and then replace it when the turntable is placed int he correct position. (Name of the robot provided by a good friend of mine after looking for a neat 1950's sounding name) This robot will go alongside two more spaceships, an enlarged landing pad and a new car for Bob on my Nexus Force Ice Station Destiny space base when built in real life. Here's what the base looks back in late 2015. Any comments, questions and complaints are welcome.

Location: Sector A04 - Mynderis Tags: Building, Military After the scouts returned from the surface of Mynderis, the core of engineers were dispatched to establish mining, research and communication centers. My team was moved to a surface location that is roughly flat and void of alien activity. Here we constructed the long rage communication and research center. All communication sectors have establied channels with our unit. Research can now begin on the lava formations where trace amounts of Awesomnium are being detected on the surface. This could be a potential future mining operation as well. In the next days the Military and Science experts with take over the location and I will be dispatched on my next mission. - D
