  1. Another half-lego idea is to use modified M-Motors. I have no idea how they work but they're on youtube so they must be true . It says that they can reach speeds of 40km/h and I don't doubt it from watching the video:
  2. I'm not sure if this is of any use but I was looking at sets on brickset and I occidentally typed in 42044 and hit enter and the result it came up with was '42044-1:Display team jet'. I tried this with other numbers and it worked up to 42050 but not 42051. I'm not sure if this is useful or not but I thought I would say anyway.
  3. That would be a nice idea but you would have to get them synced somehow else some wheels would spin faster than others and they'd all stop at different times
  4. Thanks for all the help guys. I'll probably buy some eneloop pro batteries and use them instead of the 1.6v and perhaps try a bit of modding to increase the voltage. Jim
  5. Hello all, Recently I have purchased two RC motors, a RC unit and a controller. I have had some good fun playing around with it but I seem to be spending a fortune on non-rechargeable, 1.5V batteries. I know that this isn't the best idea but I have bought some standard 1.2V rechargeables and they can't seem to power the motors. I know that most people use eneloop pro batteries but I'm not sure whether or not they'll work. Another idea which I had was to use 1.6V Ni-Zn rechargeable batteries but I'm not sure if the rc unit will accept them. If you have any ideas, they would be appreciated. Thanks for the help, Jim
  6. Whilst we're on the talk of colours personally I would like to see TLG make some coloured, translucent panels. However, I don't know what they would be used in but they would still be cool. Hmmm, perhaps not their style: 'It is useless but it looks cool so who cares' -The Lego Group, 2016
  7. My feeling exactly. However I don't think it is TLG's style. I could try build one with stickers from 42005 though. I'll try when I've got more free time (and money for tumbler tire wheels).
  8. That is definitely the smallest fork lifter I've ever seen. That mechanism is also very ingenious and very precise-500 runs without any errors is impressive.
  9. Looking good. Please keep on posting pictures
  10. I suppose that you're right but I was just speculating (or dreaming. To be honest they're fairly similar )
  11. You want a remote controlled Grievous: Cause why not
  12. I've just read this whole forum and so far there have only been a couple mentions of the dragster. Am I really the only person excited about this. Personally the best thing hat this set could have would be the new Tumbler tires but that would make it massive...Which would be super cool. And plausible if it were to have power functions and be the flagship set. That would be epic especially if some of the ideas on this thread are true-it could have a new design of RC motors. Or have I grabbed the wrong end of the stick and I'm just wrong, is the dragster meant to be a pullback racer similar to 42033, Record Breaker. These are just my speculations though so they're probably wrong Jim
  13. @mahjqa Sorry to give this topic a bit of a nudge but the camera I use for filming my lego isn't very good and I'm thinking of an upgrade so, out of interest, what camera do you use? I thought that a little compact camera like this one would be really good because I don't want to spend tons of money on a huge camera and this looks fairly small (and hopefully cheap). Cheers
  14. That models looks really good but surely those universal joints just after the xl motor in the suspension would break under the high torque. However, I can't think of any other way for transferring the drive from the motor Edit: I've just thought that they actually shouldn't seeing as you used that set up in your fox. Sorry for the slightly pointless post
  15. 8XL motors for a 4 wheeled vehicle. Mental. Just mental. I also love those CV joints but can't help wondering if they woud be better (or at the very least cheaper) to use blue 3L pins?
  16. That is very good engineering in a very small space. Two good targets met. Also could you perhaps have used some of these (http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=56904c01&name=Wheel%2030mm%20D.%20x%2014mm%20with%20Black%20Tire%2043.2%20x%2014%20Offset%20Tread%20(56904%20/%2056898)&category=%5BWheel%20&%20Tire%20Assembly%5D#T=C wheels. They are the same size as the ones you used but with an axle hole in the middle
  17. Oh, ok. Cheers
  18. Those are all really cool. I had a Unimog but I didn't know what to do with it so I took it apart and used the pieces. This models are making me wish I didn't though. You have true talent
  19. That is looking really good so far. This MOC looks epic at the moment purely because it is just so small. Also for your 9V to PF conversion you could buy this (http://powerfunction...fault.aspx#8886) conversion cable
  20. This is really cool. Do you have a video for it because it would be great to see this in action
  21. Are you still building this model then?
