Since you shortened the whole truck you could drop the 3rd axle, and move the middle one back a stud, For the side doors, have you seen this one? It's black, but one comes swinging right. Or you could use this one... Also in black and one stud taller, but it would fit easily. Both a little pricey, but no where near $9/piece

I'm Leaving! I'm Coming Back! Do it all HERE.
LEGO Guy Bri replied to Darth_Ewok's topic in Community
I am battling the same question. Not so much for moving or needing money, but more of a "what am I going to do with it all?" deal. I have a huge collection, with a dream of displaying, permanently publicly if possible, but thats a two part, 'out there', dream... Collect the sets, get the space. I am only doing one of the two right now, while the other could just remain a pipe dream. The kid inside says "stay on it", the adult, saying "you're in over your head; never gonna happen". It's always depressing to think of this logically, but you can't escape reality... and at least there is still a resale value. If you choose to sell, don't sell it all. I would choose sets that are dear to me. I would try and keep the sets I grew up with, Luckily, I have photos of my layout prior to my 'dark age'. Most other sets I bought after coming back would be on the block, with the exception of a few, like my modulars, or VW T1, etc. All I can say is choose what means most -
You could probably find buyer's for $250-400 respectively. But, I'm not sure what it cost you to comprise all the pieces, with individual shipping per order. I'd start there and add a percentage for your time building and making sure you have the correct number of parts to complete the models. You could ask $25-75 less than what it cost to buy a 'used' MS or CC and see if anyone bites. From the pictures, I really can't tell where the substituted parts are

Wacky and Weird Locomotive Challenge!
LEGO Guy Bri replied to Electricsteam's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I reckon I should try and find my first train MOC mad of left over parts from my 10183 Hobby Train! Really wish I photographed it before burying it in storage Edit: Found it! Revising the front and replacing some parts to color match. The original was built before I started buying off Brick Link -
Very clever builds, easily recognizable! That is one of my favorite things about your city. I hope to add basic topography to my future layout. I understand why many don't or can't do this, but it's always something I'd like like to incorporate, though I'd probably use materials model RR's use instead of bricks... wood and foam; much cheaper

Much better! I was in the middle of suggesting the same thing when my computer died. I like it much better this way. Out of curiosity, would you move both rear axles forward a stud or two, shortening the wheelbase, and upload an image? I'd be interested to see what it looks like with a school bus's @ss

Don't tell them you're American Congrats on your engagement, though. I watched one of Bourdain's Layover in Dublin. He seems to like to go off the beaten track. I can't say for sure, as I have yet to travel abroad, but I loved everything he did in that episode. You could check that out while waiting for so locals to give you better leads

Maybe ask if a mod can or would sticky this in the Hello! My name is... thread? Just a thought, but it would definitely be seen by many

Welcome to EB Cran! I've seen this on BS, but not in depth. This is a fantastic collection and layout! I used to have a large classic city layout, as well, although mine was mainly 95-00' sets. I love how it's comprised of almost all MOCs! I don't have the stomach to pull sets apart. Are you planning to expand and how many sq. meters is your layout?

Excellent job oirad 72! It's detailed very nicely, I really like the third floor, and great job on the damaged exterior. Very realistic

While not pertaining directly to the above question. I did have a generalized system among my city workers, either by uniform color or my uniform type. From police and construction to racing. When I was a kid playing with LEGO I didn't have any firefighters, but they to would have had their Chief as well. So that said, I'm sure I would have done the same with Space figs... Probably very similar, if not the same to The_Creator's list Ha! Is that because the red guy always dies? I feel like I heard that on Family Guy or Robot Chicken

Excellent pair of trucks J4ke! Nice SNOT work. What is the structure in the back of the black n' yellow truck? I'm not very familiar with Blacktron

Nice review Zeahl! I wouldn't mind having this set in my collection

LEGO Guy Bri replied to MrTools's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I thought it a bit strange, as well. It bares close resemblance to this Lithuanian shunter- 191 replies

It's great to see it all together, it's getting quite long! Too bad it suffered a little damage, but that's part of the experience, right?

Absolutely! I've scoured the internet (mainly Brickshelf) searching for large layouts. I have saved many of them to my EB profile. Scroll down and check out my Interests on Brickshelf segment. There may be some you haven't seen before!
