Caltex Service Station (Servo Showdown Entry)
LEGO Guy Bri replied to lightningtiger's topic in LEGO Town
Nice work lt. I hadn't heard of a Caltex before, at first I thought it was a Texaco. A quick google cleared that up. It looks good on the corner of your street! Good luck in the contest -
[MOC] Modular Vortex Bar & Grill, Little Five Points, Atlanta
LEGO Guy Bri replied to toorayay's topic in LEGO Town
Awesome MOC toorayay! This is one crazy looking building, you captured it very well. I really like the the interior with the walls covered with random things. I love when restaurants do that! Great job -
Excellent BP Aussie BJ! Great detail, the angled roof really gives it a unique look! Good luck in the contest

Great work on your servo rriggs! Big fan of Shell stations! Good luck in the contest

Excellent truck mattb483! The lift gate is very clever, I really like how it's attached to the trailer. Great job
-
Excellent layout Akm310! The white tower MOC looks great among official sets. Keep up the great work

Top notch jet Big Sal! It has avery cool look to it. I wouldn't mind having one in my city! One critique, the vertical stabilizer looks a bit small otherwise a very sleek fighter

0:47: Someone didn't put the 1x2 blue tile, on the rear wing, in the right place. The rear doors could swing open! Too bad this isn't in HD and a little less shaky, but still a cool video. I wonder the value of all those sets... It's great they exist untouched somewhere

Nice job Sambo! It's like the big-little brother of my H2!

Won a couple ebay auctions including one with a new 4202 The Mine for $66.51 and the other with used 4431 Ambulance, 4434 Dump Truck, 7992 Container Stacker for $36.99. Some good deals IMO

That is a very impressive structure, a wonderful display piece for your groups first time! Well done

Very nice station Salvobrick, I like the pump design in particular. The van looks great as well. Good luck!

Excellent work Strikeman! This is quite an undertaking, but these first few look great. I can't wait to see what other ones you build
-
The new additions look great! Congrats on being front paged

Yeah, I'd go with the dark bley mudguards too. The yellow worked on the original it was in the red. Bley and yellow doesn't mix well IMO. I think scott has a good point as well. I think you should drop the middle axel and move the 3rd forward a stud or two, since that truck isn't very long

Very cool looking car lluisgib! I really like the aggressiveness of the front. I think the one from the set is too short, stubby, and bland

Yeah, this is great! I like the new colors on the heli, but the station is fantastic! It has pretty much everything it a real one has or needs. What really stands out is the fact it's not crammed or cramped in there, there is ample space. Great job

I really wish TLG still made these type of scenes when displaying their products. On of my favorite is from a 1994 product sheet. Any chance of a shot of the whole town?

Yeah, I'm on central time (U.S, Canada, Mexico City) even though I am actually eastern standard in WV. My first year or so here, my posts where an hour late

I think I have what you're saying. You'll have to put a layer of plates, separating the steep slope of the roof, attaching the roof to which ever side you want it to protrude out. This is the only way I can think of, since there are no plates with sloped edges. It will interrupt the the seamless slope of the roof a little. So by the picture, imagine those two, horizontal, black lines matching with the rest of the black bar (representing the roof you want installed). /\ / \ ___/____ \____ ___I_____I____ / \ / \ Something like this

I believe 10188 Death Star has the largest box of all sets with a volume of 59,620.86 cm³; dimensions: 59.6 x 58.5 x 17.1 cm This may not really pertain directly to the comments above, but I received my order on Saturday and was surprised by the box that arrived. Since the order contained the Pet Shop modular and the City Parking Garage, as well as, a few other smaller sets, I figured it would come in two large boxes like previous orders I've had. But this arrived! I am not sure if I am thrilled about it. It was cumbersome to move and was still only half full. I had this happen once a few years ago, but thought they quit. All other orders came in 1 or 2 large boxes. Has anyone else received a large order with a single huge box? Are they making a return?

On tonight's new episode of The Cleveland Show: A Rodent Like This, it features Cleveland trying to get help from 'LEGO Martin Scorsese', a couple times -
What? Is this a question, or statement? It doesn't make sense... May be re-edit and maybe keep the font size easier to read? Had to squint

I thought it was funny But here is a good place to find rare bricks. They may not all equate to "expensive", but when you look at how many sets and how many are currently available, it's what you're looking for... rare
