  1. Wonderful job replicating these town houses papercla. My favorite is the brown, love that bay window! Very well done
  2. Excellent build vean! I love it's styling. Can't wait to see the white one
  3. Great work, indeed, Toltomeja! It's not very often I see LEGO mixed with actual water. You did a wonderful job detailing the mill and surrounding landscape. Good luck in the contest
  4. My wallet doesn't mind waiting. I would like to see some modern styled modulars though
  5. So far it looks like it's a contest between UrbanErwin, UrbanErwin, and UrbanErwin... Not sure who all entered. You might want to change the text in your original post, removing the "closed until the second of April", as it's May, and the "do not vote until I open", as you have opened it.
  6. Excellent monorail ER0L! Building a 7W was a great choice. Do you have a video of it running?
  7. I'm pretty sure it's set 7245 Prisoner Transport with blue instead of black or green stickers applied Scary!
  8. You know, after getting a good look at the starter set, I think I will make a pass. Unless I can get it for 50%+ off... It just doesn't look all that great. I also think that the engine piece, atop the nose of 60019 Stunt Plane, should be dropped a plate or two in height. Love the new Cargo sets, especially the jet!
  9. Saw a LEGO City set in there with the boy on a chair surrounded by cars and possibly some Duplo bricks. A bit odd that some of the kids in modern, brick-and-mortar homes, surrounded by toys didn't look very happy... Still quite humbling
  10. Made an order to S@H purchasing: 10220 Volkswagen T1 Camper Van 21000 Willis Tower 21002 Empire State Building 21003 Seattle Space Needle 21008 Burj Khalifa 21102 Minecraft Mini World 60003 Fire Emergency 60007 High Speed Chase 60016 Tanker Truck x2 60018 Cement Mixer
  11. Beautiful steamer Commander Wolf! It looks very sleek, a definite improvement over the last one. Very well done
  12. Very nice work BelosoveT. Nice color scheme, but I think it could use something more over the truck wheels
  13. Great rail cars Kivi. Nice and simple design, I love seeing MOCs with sliding doors
  14. According to Brickset it was retired, in Canada in Dec. 12. On LEGO.com/US, it is also listed as retired and ebay prices are heading north of the RRP. If I were a collector of SW or UCS, this would have definitely been on my list. It wouldn't hurt to try and pick one up ASAP. At least you'll have it without dropping some major bucks
  15. Same here, I love looking at layouts! You have a great collection on modulars, although I don't sea a Market Street. Was that one missed?
  16. Wonderful work Lindon. Thats quite a large town house! I really like the color you chose, as well. Very elegant
  17. I finished, hope I pass, but didn't receive a cookie. Where can we find your blog?
  18. Dale Gribble ladies and gentleman! Remember to tip your waitresses, we'll be here all night. Sh sh sha!
  19. Mod please move, if this ins't the right place Well it's almost that time again for Bonnaroo! For those unfamiliar, Bonnaroo is a huge music festival on a 700 acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee. It is a four day event (June 13-16) with a large line up! This will be my second time, went back in 2010, and had a great time. It has a bit of everything for everyone! I would like to know if anyone on here will be attending or if you have been in the past and maybe share your experience?
  20. They broke, at least the ones in closest proximity to the stick. Said it blew of one of it's "knubbles"... Knubbles? My ruined bits go to in the recycler. It sounded like some of the pieces got a bit of last second revenge turning into shrapnel
  21. Thats quite strange. I thought it would be lacking because the building wasn't very deep, but no oven?! Guess we'll have to add one
  22. Excellent precinct castor-troy! Excellent job in and out, especially the interior. Keep up the great work
  23. Saw this in special themes. One more set I'll never have. It's pretty neat though, but apparently around $2300 USD to take this tour and receive one... No airfare or other accommodations, for those who don't live nearby. Too bad, I'd love to experience this. Might have to MOC on up
  24. Boom and the bam! Both from 2012, but jokes aside, I do know what you really mean by a reissue. When the first one came out in 2000, it didn't really appeal enough to me. I couldn't see it really fitting in with my city and a $200 price tag didn't really help. Now with the Architecture line and advances in elements and building techniques, I hope she does make a return! This set was huge, as is, with 3,263 pieces and a $250 dollar price tag. Making a bigger one wouldn't make much sense. Maybe a Ferris Wheel or other old fashion ride will come sooner. I'm not a SW collector and about as big of a fan of SW as much as, say, Titanic. They're good, fun, movies to me, nothing more. I do think, however, that would be a neat set for collectors though. There has, but only in the Duplo line, I believe. I also wish there would be a City Zoo released. Again, not a collector of these themes, I'd still have to strongly disagree. LotR & Hobbit, hugely popular movies; hugely successful line... Why on Earth should it be canceled? Lone Ranger is more or less the new Pirates of the Caribbean, apart from being a western theme, of course. It's also a popular film with a promising line. If you do a little research, you will find many of the sets are new versions of many sets from the mid 90's Western theme. Same goes for the Super Heroes line... Very popular and with the new Iron Man 3, I don't see why this line should be cancelled as well. And SW ships? Do you mean the UCS line or all sets with ships? Either way, why? I can't think of any good reason to stop selling them. Finally, Galaxy Squad. It's just the replacement subtheme under the Space line. It may be around for a single line release, maybe two, but it will be gone in a couple years. Everyone knows that futuristic humans battling aliens will always sell. So, no merit on canceling that... either. I believe it is... Maybe not a "fantasy" style, but having a Castle line that resembles anything close to the LotR, would be counterproductive. Same goes for any original theme that also has a licensed theme running parallel. Along with what many others have pointed out, your claims seem to be personal disgruntlements that really holds no water, financially or otherwise. Sure, TLG, has had it's bumps, generally in the recent past. After returning to LEGO, it did take me some getting used to the change from classic Town to modern City line, as I'm sure it did for many others in other lines, but I don't believe it will be near bankruptcy, ever again. Especially with licensed themes. Maybe with some data sheets or better sited research can this be taken more seriously and seem so much as a young person's attempt at what they like/dislike about LEGO's current line-up. Much of this is and has been discussed in their own individual threads
  25. Anyone else look for valuable parts when they blew up the bin?
