Brilliant! Very cool looks and and so much nicely working functions I like it a lot And cool cat, too -
That's so true Erik This contest was so nice and welcome event to me also because, although I am not a young "boy" (over 40) anymore, I am quite newbie in Lego Technic and this contest gave me a great learning curve to create something own and learn to think out of the box Technic Lego gives you great moments and joy of solving problems. Many thanks EB and Jim for this nice TC7 Every contestant is a winner to me, congrats to all

I made a countermeasure flare system but I am not sure if I should add it to my entry... And if I would add it, I have only tomorrow (Thursday) time to do that because I am not home at the weekend... But here it is... Little mechanical doors where to deploy flares: Manually operating mechanism to deploy flares. There are handles (grey ones both side at the weapon bay) which are moving in rails (just pushing back with finger) and deploying flares: And finally countermeasure flares are deployed from the back of helicopter to avoid bandit missiles: Now what you think about it? Is it worth to add it to my contestant or not?

Nice touch! I like transformation, it's nice to have three models in same machine ( I kinda have three models in my flying thingy too) Weapons are cool, I like springloaded cannon + missiles very much Are those three things (2 orange and 1 yellow) at the back countermeasure flares? If so they are very neat bonus and huge benefit in air combat I wish I could have something like that in my Death Falcon to countermeasure bandit missiles... But anycase, really good work there

Gzzig, now you make that video and entry, period! Because this is one I might vote for the winner By the way those stickers are absolutely fantastic

[TC7] Enforcers - Van Helising
MacKaiwer replied to D3K's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
"I know it's not a looker" No, no no... I think just quite opposite, it is and will be a looker when finished because it is shaping so nice, especially helicopter mode Keep up the good work and I sincerely hope and believe that you get it ready in time for contest -

8. Death Falcon (Enforcers) Description: Just flying over the wasteland as a velocity plane and patrolling. When Bandits show them it transforms into a attack helicopter and strikes like death from above. Velocity plane aka Normal Mode: Attack helicopter aka Battle Mode: Weapons close-up: Half helicopter aka Landing/Takeoff Mode: Features: Core and power: Normal 9V Lego battery box Main propeller driven by Lego M motor Plane wings turn into helicopter tail (manually) Manually openable weapon bay door Weapons: 2 x Hellfire missiles and four barrel gun Main motor turnable manually between plane and helicopter modes Manually retractable rotor blades (short in plane mode and lenghten in helicopter mode) Other function: Takeoff/landing mode as a half helicopter (takes off and lands from/onto its belly) Everything locked/unlocked with 3 stud long pins Discussion topic: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=111609 Video:

Thanks Milan I thought about it and I am also thinking that those retractable blades are cool new feature and give a new level of playability to this machine, so I am gonna add them in my contestant I already shot a new transformation video and will shoot new pictures but I'm not sure will they be indoor or outdoor photos... It depends of few things like weather and do I have time to take outdoor photos etc. But your tip was nice and improvements are never a bad thing Thanks again
-
You mean something like this... Helicopter mode: Velocity plane mode: That's not bad idea... Now the blades are 4 stud shorter than before when they are in full length but when retracted they have clearance to work even on the table at velocity plane mode. If this is the solution which I will keep I must take all new pictures and maybe do new transformation video too... Decisions, decisions...
-
No, it can't, therefore there is that half helicopter mode for takeoffs and landing. I could use shorter axles in propeller but they don't look so cool and they'll be little short for the over all scale and dimensions. And yet still there's no landing gears (wheels) so it could not takeoff in plane mode anyway. It just takes off and lands on it's belly and transforms in the air, first to plane and when needed to attack helicopter.
-
Okay, some outdoor shots with stickers because I didn't have enough of them for the entry... I shot them at a small local waste water treatment plant Velocity plane aka Normal Mode: Attack helicopter aka Battle Mode: Weapons close up: Half helicopter aka takeoff/landing mode: Now I just must make final video and then entry...
