[MOC/WIP] Velocity Plane
MacKaiwer replied to MacKaiwer's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thank You mostlytechnic! It's really encouraging to hear that kind of response. It was kind of hard to design this plane because i've had to stuck into the plane both battery box and M-motor. In my design there might be room for two studs on both sides to narrow the structure but it might not be so easy... But anyways thank You for your comment, you've kind of made my day -
Excellent! Nice and compact design, I like it a lot

[WIP] Ultimate 42009
MacKaiwer replied to grum64's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes, I had some private message conversation with grum64 few weeks ago and I miss him too... I think he's one of the most positive persons I've ever known! All good to You my friend grum -
Howdy! I started today to create a velocity plane as my first full MOC... Those planes are light weight aircrafts and they look something like this: I have just a limited mount of parts and can not do this time it at full white color... I think I will try to make it better as time goes by but this is what I've done so far... Overall look: Backside: Landing gears are retractable, rear ones have no mechanism (just manually lift them and those gearwheels tucked on top the wing keeps them up), front one has some which I explain later... Propeller is powered by one M-motor: Cockpit and flight stick (which operates front landing gear): When flight stick is pushed down landing gear is also down: And when pulled to flight position landing gear is retracted: Well, this is a start at least... Comments are most welcome, as always I'll improve at least landing gears (better mechanism) and maybe the looks too... But I had fun while creating this and that's the main reason why I build Technic Legos

Yes, I know that, I just did that centering mod for fun. Original design is correct, I agree that

[MOC] Mini Cement Mixer
MacKaiwer replied to jyd80's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Outstanding! Very nice design and cool functions Would it be cool if you make also same scale "putzmeister" to pair it? I mean something like this: -
I think that wheels+rims from 42000 set are quite nice under B-model... And they don't rub against anything in back wheel arches because I moved black 15L liftarms one stud towards front of the car (places marked on pics). Part no. 4296059 http://brickset.com/parts/4296059 got little bit manhandled with knife to make room for tire (second image). Also front fenders are liften one stud so there's more room for front tires too.

I made some mods to both A- and B-model A-model overlook Backside paneling and wing Gullwing doors mod Centered seat and sunvisor Back secured mod B-model overlook (with my own racing colours design) Trunk door mod Driver and co-driver seats and gear stick Blue front lights and safety bumper What do you think about them? Feel free to comment, I don't mind

Where they are? I found just building instructions from lego.com... No official instructions how to hook up PF... Maybe Youtube or Google could help you, I don't know...

Version 3.0. This time only the nose has been changed and some stickers added. Pics: Overall look: Closer look back end: And that troublemaking nosepiece: Nosecone is so hard to do because one must rebuild everything front of the cockpit new if one want some radical changes. I don't know if I ever want to do that, who knows, maybe some day...

Technic Dumptruck Trend

And I've done even my own dumb bed mod for the set 42028 (B model)... Oh dear Lord help me Kind of sarcasm, man I ecaxtly know what you mean... -
I dont know... I'm AFOL and set 42030 introduced me to the technic lego area year and half ago... So this could be a right thread to little open up... I'm ordinary working guy but I have little problem with alcohol, some might say I'm alcoholist... And recently I had quite alarming back problems which are making my ordinary every day life a bit of hell... But I think that power of Lego and this site, and nice people here could be my saviors cause now it's time to me change my life or go down in the sewers... I'm sorry for this stupid opening but I kind of had to... I'm a decent guy, please understand me, my dear friends. PS. Power comes from inside, I know that and I'm not giving up. Thanks and sorry about this PPS. Offtopic and not nice, but sometimes you have to open your heart

Your Best Technic Bargains
MacKaiwer replied to Kumbbl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Three times 42029 at 80 euros a piece and one 42039 at 80 euros a piece, MISB 42007 at 40 euros from BL including shipping and 100 euros for 10242 (maybe not so cheap and no technic) -
Yes, i'm very happy with those sets But to the subject... That mod which I linked needed in my opinion a little extra mod for the bikes' kickstand: Without my little mod kickstand will rub the chains And my solution for that problem is But as you see, chains look now more natural just like in real motocross bikes.
