  1. Welcome to EB, Jaap.
  2. Welcome, Robert.
  3. Nice homage to Blacktron at 2:05
  4. For a single haul it's pretty big, but I can assure you that there are people on this board with 3,000+ sets. Nothing to worry about.
  5. I like the train a lot. It looks like it'll be in scale with the other buildings, and it has plenty of detail and side builds. This is why it's hard sometimes to go on EB. We've been waiting for this set for a year, it was just unveiled and you're already trying to move people into speculation about next year?
  6. legomilk returns! Nothing surprising here, although a new ambulance is nice. Since they haven't done regular Police since 2014 I suspect they'll bring it back.
  7. Welcome to the boards, Em!
  8. Welcome to EB.
  9. Next year's modular will be the first for a sizable group of people. By itself an inverted modular wouldn't look very good, and that could deter first time buyers of the line. Lego makes sure that each product looks good from most angles.
  10. Some thoughts on this year's Brickfair: Overall, I liked it. What I didn't like was their new system that allowed pretty much everyone who paid beforehand to enter before those who didn't. I was right at the front of the latter line and I felt like I wasted my time by showing up extra early. The MOCs were impressive as usual, the GBC seems to get twice as big each time I go. The vendors were a little disappointing because for some reason they weren't selling any spare NK figs (Although I managed to pick up a poly that I didn't have) and were all filled to the brim with super heroes stuff. One vendor in particular was attempting to sell the Black Knight's Castle for a thousand bucks, which I'm sure no one purchased. I was also happy that they were able to use the smaller convention center next to the main one, something that wasn't an option until now. Good thing, too, as it seemed there were more people than ever.
  11. Welcome to the boards!
  12. Great job! NPU on the ferris wheel with the railing and carriage wheel parts.
  13. Nice work. I like how the back opens up.
  14. Sweet ride. The way you connected the chassis to the rest of the vehicle is quite clever.
  15. Nice mash-up. This is quite the improvement over the two originals.
  16. Nice job. The interiors are incredibly realistic.
  17. That At-St is pretty expensive. The last one only had 244 parts, I don't see where the additional 200 in this set went. Also, is it just me or does Krennic's Shuttle look like the body of an At-Ap in black with wings? The hover tank looks like the best set in the wave. I might pick that one up when it comes out, and I'll stock up on those battle packs for next year.
  18. Picked up the Frightening Knight at Brickfair VA on Saturday. The new mace piece is excellent, I hope it shows up in future Castle sets.
  19. Quick rundown of the Lava Monsters: Beast Master - Looks like he had a few too many drinks, possibly buffalo wings as well (Who knows what that stain is?) Lavaria - Is is love with a clown, has pathetically tiny wings that surely cannot lift her spider legs off the ground. General Magmar - Has bags under his eyes, stole Moltor's pants. Motor - Got a haircut sometime between his appearance in the show and his appearance in a set, had his pants stolen by General Magmar. Flama - Has no agreed upon gender. Also has intense shoulder pain from massive hammer that probably weighs twice as much as he/she does. Book Keeper - Obviously the most intimidating of the lot. Whiparella - Has incredible strength in order to keep here ridiculous snake tail from getting shredded by her hover horse. Also, Whiparella. A scary bunch indeed.
  20. Went to Brickfair VA on Saturday, picked up the following: Fantasy Era Giant Troll (From the Dwarve's Mine, 2007) EP VII Flametrooper S15 Frightening Knight Nexo Knights: Robin's Mini Fortrex Brick Warriors Executioner's Axe About 30 Brickarms, including ten pistols to equip my police force WWII Marine KK2 Mistlands Tower I also met Daniel Siskind, who was standing next to his USS Missouri (The longest Lego ship in the world) and the designer of 3739 Blacksmith Shop. I informed him that the latter was being sold at a vendor for $350, which he found amusing.
  21. A Hospital modular would be greatly appreciated. There hasn't even been a regular hospital in five years and that set wasn't very good.
  22. I really like the speedboat, but not for $20, which I suspect will be the price. Hopefully that logo on the side is indeed a print and not a sticker. Does anyone know where this image came from in the first place, and why there isn't a confidential stamp? I don't think I've ever seen a non-confidential set leak this early before.
  23. The Castle-related fantasy aspect makes it too closely related to Nexo Knights. The recent revival of the medieval fantasy genre is nice, though.
  24. Very nice. Interesting technique for the tree.
