The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BrickJagger replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Going to avoid reading the last few pages but I'll assume that these "leakers" have sources who are other "leakers" who have sources who may/may not be legit. In other words, about half of the info going around in this thread is wrong. Riddles and hints are also morally wrong, to be honest. All or nothing, it's not about you, it's about the sets. -
MOC WIP: Starting a small city layout, photo diary
BrickJagger replied to Bingo Little's topic in LEGO Town
Looks good so far. I would cover the dark gray plates with tiles, it make it look like a more realistic sidewalk. Keep it up. -

That's what I figure as well, unless it sells well enough to continue, which is possible but not likely. -

More great builds, soccerkid! I like how you used the CMF stands in the second picture. -
The best of the worst Lego Ideas

You'll have to ask our Lightningtiger about that, because he does have the most posts on this site for a regular member, so he's pretty active. -
Our biker friend seems to have misplaced his glasses after the crash, perhaps he should go back and look for them? Nice work by your son.

dr_spock has an unrivaled hatred for everyone's favorite Gungan, and I approve fully. Nice work.

I love builds like these. The usage of Dragon wings as plants is really creative. Nice work.

I am disappointed in Actor Builder's disappointment, he seems like such a cheerful fellow. Just finished reading The Last Kingdom by Bernard Cornwall. Excellent book, I intend to watch the TV show soon.

So long as they overcome 3D printing I would say that there's no limit to how long they could go, at least in some form.

Interesting concept. I agree that Aaron has the most generic helmet, it looks good on these soldiers. -

Funny! The jumpscare definitely got me. -
This is a trend happening across all classic themes. Pirates 2009, while being fairly generic, was a very good theme. Pirates 2015 was a clear recession. The same can be said for Kingdoms and Castle 2013. Space is next up, I expect a new Space theme soon that introduces nothing new and is discontinued after one year. The sad truth is that Licenses are the big thing right now rather than actual creativity, but it'll die out one day because everything does. That's why I have hope that the classic themes can come back one day stronger than ever.

Help with identifying parts/sets!
BrickJagger replied to WhiteFang's topic in General LEGO Discussion
According to Brickpicker.com your set is worth about $260 used, which is $160 more than what it originally retailed for. Hopefully that helps you make a decision. -
It's probably because he's a fan favorite. Sets with Boba usually sell well.

Welcome, Hip.

I see Whiparella decided to photobomb, eh? She just wants to be in the group shot too! Nice layout, by the way.

How many movies do you watch, Black? -

It's a gradual transition, let it happen. -
I would recommend the Volcano Lair, It's a great set. There aren't really any more lava-related sets on the shelves right now to put around the Lair but maybe you can pick up Lava Falls (Ninjago set) for a low price on Ebay. I would put the lava area as far away from the snow area as possible, perhaps near the desert.

Excellent work! I didn't even know this variant existed, thanks for sharing.

Funny. I like all of the easter eggs you have in there.

Nice! Is that a mix between old gray and new gray in the wall? If so, I like it.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
BrickJagger replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The Death Star actually did increase in price. It used to be $350 and was raised to $400 without any changes if I recall correctly. Lego is the most successful toy brand of all time, they're only competing with themselves at this point. Raising the price by a hundred bucks might line their pockets but it make make afols less likely to buy the set. The old one has only been gone for a year and pretty much everyone that wanted one has one at this point, so why would they want it again for a hundred bucks more? Why not just keep the original on the shelves longer? Not profitable enough? Inflation doesn't mean a thing to me since it probably only cost $50 to produce the set in the first place. Adding 200 extra parts barely ups the production cost for them, but raises the price considerably. More money for them, I guess. I'm a fan of Star Wars but it has been pretty terrible this year for sure, hopefully it gets better soon. -
Ha! Didn't know you could give them hair, I'll have to try that out sometime (Or right now) .......
