Great to here that the "Diving" theme is getting an updated release. I'm sure someone posted when the "Arctic" theme was getting an updated release this year, that it would be good for the "diver" theme to get a new release also.

MOC: Heavy Duty Tow Truck Jamie Davis Heavy Rescue Rotator from Highwa
scottwb2010 replied to timtosino's topic in LEGO Town
Great job you've done re-creating Jamie's pride and joy, timtosino! When 60056 came out, I wondered how easy it would be to MOD it into the "Rotator" from Highway Thru Hell but you've led the way. Do you have a photo of both Wrecker Trucks side by side to compare the? Anyway I look forward to seeing your other creations from this TV show which is now showing series 2 here in the UK, -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
scottwb2010 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Lego are probably realising that there are more and more people coming out their dark ages every week, and one of the themes new AFOL's get into, is the Modular Series, so they are making the most of and capatilising on having many of the Modulars available at one time before retiring a few, as they know how disappointed new AFOL's are that Cafe Corner and Green Grocer wher not available (unless secondary market) when they returned to Lego which may be one reason Fire Brigade and Grand Emporium got an extended run! -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
scottwb2010 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I think TLC is doing one of 2 things or maybe both. 1. They are showing sold out in most country's of the 3 oldest modulars as these are in high demand at present due to retiral rumors and they don't won't to be dishing out loads of x2 VIP hence list them sold out and then list them available again in November if they do have stock. Lets face it, a company the size of Lego will know exactly how much stock they have left of these 3 modulars and where they are! 2. We currently have 5 mods available which is quite alot. I reckon that the 3 oldest, GE 2010, PS 2011 and TH 2012 will all be retired at once ie asap which might leave us with just PC and PR for a short while and this makes room for the 2015 mod which will be out probably early in the year ie between Jan 1st and Easter where we will be back to having 3 mods available! -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
scottwb2010 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
But if Ghostbusters HQ is released, it would be under the Ideas theme and not be part of the Creator Expert/Modular line, so anyone wanting to have a complete Modular series and not interested in the GBHQ can still do so. I see it as a win win situation, as it would be a year with 2 Modular type releases in one year, that's if GBHQ is made modular, as we would also get the annual Creator expert modular release or if GBHQ is not to anyone's liking I'm sure it would make a goods part pack, going by normal price per piece on larger sets. And hopefully if the museum becomes a set, it too would be under the ideas theme so we would another year with 2 modular style releases. :-) -

That would be good, but they certainly making room for something and need to trim down the modulat line to 3 available at any one time! -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
scottwb2010 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Hi! I think the limited quantity means you are limited to a certain amount that you can by ie 3,4 or 5 of an item so people can't snap up bulk loads -
Really liking this City square and even more so now with its beach fronted promenade. Great use of tiles and round plates to create water scene!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
scottwb2010 replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Try imagining it like Looking at the Fire Brigade and where the engine bay door is, this is your alley way. But probably not 8 wide but more likely 6 wide. 4 wide might be to narrow. Could be open fronted or a new gate created! -
Great Mod's you've created apsilon. The Tracked Outpost would be more suited than the official release. Look forward to seeing more of your Arctic stuff.

Thank you for posting this review Prezes. Great photography. I had already purchased this set as with all the Arctic theme but was waiting to build this. I actually read your review last night and after reading it decided to build the set. A couple of things I surprise me on this set. The Tractor Unit has wheels, when in his theme, all other functional vehicles have tracks. Would have thought that a unit to pull the Outpost Lab this size would need a tracked vehicle rather than tyres. TLC Maybe should have swapped this with the tracked vehicle from 60036 Base Camp. Although the Tractor Unit is a great build, it might have served a better function in the city Fire Dept as a Heavy Rescue Unit! The other thing is the actual "Outpost Lab" Strange design IMO due to the way the side wall opening doesn't sit flush and the hinge for the opening of the roof. The gap in the roof must make it freezing in the Lab. If the had built it 8 studs wide like the Command Post the 4430 Forest Fire Transporter, then the side opening could have sat flush along the side wall.

Hi "TheBlackFool". I really like you MOD of the Fire Brigade by giving it a corner build. Refreshing to see this. I tend to agree with "Carson Haupt" about the 2nd floor window's. I made my Mod with the big windows above the garage doors and this may give you an idea of how it will look! http://www.eurobrick...topic=79752&hl= It might need you to move the bay over by 2 studs, but this would help to reduce the amount of "Grey wall" as "Paul Lanski" states. Also the ground floor window could be 6 wide to help reduces this. Just a thought but looks good so far!

Hi The opening at the back is for a flat screen TV or Incident Planning board. Many UK Control units have gone this way recently, where the Con operator and the Incident Mangers are inside but outside, they use a TV with CCTV of the incident or a white board to brief on coming crews/sector commanders of the Incident Plan.

Thanks guys for your comments! Can believe its been almost 2 years since I first posted these Fire Appliances. I have made a couple of new one, 'Scania' based since then and working on an 'ARP' at the moment so time I guess for an update!

This is a fabulous re-creation of the scene from the movie! So much attention to detail. Great job! Brings back memories of the film!

Great MOC you've created Brickedin! I love the colour scheme you chose. Great details inside and out!

Neat work! This will make a nice addition to the Fire Brigade station. I too really like how you have done the interior. Look forward to seeing it brick built and maybe sitting next to the Fire station. Also, I Wonder what it would look like with the up and over roller door on the ambulance bay similar to the fire station.

Lego Ghostbusters HQ - Custom MOC with Lights
scottwb2010 replied to Sergio512's topic in LEGO Licensed
I contacted Sergio 512 about this and unless you have a really powerfull computer then it won't load the instructions in a build by build mide. What he said to do was create each floor seperatley and this worked.- 137 replies
