Cheers for posting the LDD file of your Ghostbusters Fire House, Brent. You have showen me what I need to know to help complete my Fire House.
-
This build has been a slow "Labour of Love" since summer 2012. I have made many modifications to it throughout the past 18 months. And now that Brent Waller's Ghostbuster's 30th Anniversary Ecto-1 Cuusoo project won the latest Cuusoo review I thought now was a good a time as any to post this build. There are a few Lego Ghostbuster Fire House's on the web and I drew my inspiration from Sean Kenny's build which you will see some similarities. My intention is to have this as a "Working" Fire station as part of my Scotsburgh Fire Dept. The following pictures are of first version of building. The first photo is of the station footprint and street. http://www.flickr.co...157641348126655 This photo is of the ground floor Appliance Hall with appliance doorway. http://www.flickr.co...57641348126655/ I then realised that the Appliance Hall wasnt going to be wide enough so, I took version 1 down and revised the footprint and changed the door at the back of the Applaince Hall to lead straight onto the pavement http://www.flickr.co...57641348126655/ http://www.flickr.co...57641348126655/ And completed Ground floor Appliance Hall with stairs leading to the First floor http://www.flickr.co...57641348126655/ First Floor in Build http://www.flickr.co...57641348126655/ http://www.flickr.co...57641348126655/ Ground and First Floor together with Second Floor in build and roof http://www.flickr.co...157641348126655 As can be seen from this photo and the one above, the front and back and both sides of the First and Second floors are symetrical http://www.flickr.co...157641348126655 And this photo shows the size of the building with the Fire engine alongside. It does fit into the Appliance Hall under the Archway, just. http://www.flickr.co...157641348126655 Well that is version 1 and Version 2. More to follow.

This is a "Thing of beauty". So much detail and created in such a short time for such a build. I bet it ways a fair bit too. Thanks for sharing with us.

Fantastic builds. Such a wonderfull layout that anyone would want to have. Even the photo's look full of action they way they have been taken.

Hi HomerJSimpson. Yeh i noticed that on The Brick Show's video of the Base Camp. Could just convert the garage into a bunk house. Neat tv beside the seats tho!

Well I am another fan of the Artic theme and whether it fits in to "City" or not is up to each person opinion. I think its a great stand alone play theme, which kids would enjoy (as it is aimed at kids after all). Yes may be getting every set of it, may work out expensive, but the prices of Lego as creeped up recently, especially minifgures so if you take that the base camp has 8 of them the price will look high. So will have to Mod the base camp a bit to accommodate/sleep all these figure. In total, over all 8 Artic sets, I've worked out there will be 27 minifigs.
-
So basically you create it on LDD by using parts you think have been used by the original builder?

Nice! what do you actually do when you "reverse engineer"?

Brickset has listed the price for 60036 Artic Base Camp at $89.99 (making it £53.74 on convertion) so I wonder what price 60062 Artic Ice Breaker will be?
-
Maybe one day TLG will release a new city service station but I guess there research tells them now is not the time but 7 years is a long time since the last one.
-
Which sets with tankers with them are you referring too? I've seen some with breakdown trucks but none with Tanker Trucks. Don't think 6562 would count as a service station
-
Many thanks for the info eiker86 and for all the photo's so far. Good that someone on this site is there and able to get such good info!
-
The car is too far away to read the plate even on the largest photo size. At first I thought it was a plain version of the police car from 60047 police station but the front is slightly different but the realised it has a white base/chassis plate
-
I guess we will have to wait and see if it gets announced later at this show or at the New York show if it is a real set
-
Ah thats why i didnt see the part listed on Bricklink
-
The Octan Station might be a MOC because it doesnt have any new cars with it but uses one from 60060 and 4207. But it is time for a new release. 7 years is too long a gap!

You have been zooming in! Lol This looks to be a set with loads of minifigs. Here are the minifigs I reckon come with it, some you've mentioned previously: Tracked vehicle - Driver Cabin - Scientist Waters Edge a Polar Bear - Video Camera man Boat - Captain and Deck Hand Helicopter - Pilot Ice and Snow block behind Ice Breaker - Chainsaw man and Camera man Huskies n sled - Musher I make that 9 minifigures and although I say men, that is me just being generic as there will be females too.
-
I was hoping you were maybe there and could get a set number and details for the Heli-plane set. Artic theme is going to hurt my wallet!
-
Are you at the show HomerJSimpson just that you mention it said in the description!
-
I was trying to make a post with a link to the photo of the sled at the top of the mountain, as i noticed it was different to the other 2 and wondered if it was a red hearing or was in one of the 2 newer sets so thanks for clarifying this. The ice breaker is going to be a big set.
-
Hopefully this is one whole set. It would likely be in the price bracket between 60014 Coastguard patrol £59.99 and 4645 Harbour £71.99 and have 6 minifigs
-
Looking at eiker86 photo of the whole artic scene, at the top of the mountain next to set 60033 there is a micro light type of aircraft. Hopefully this will be a polybag offering.
-
Well spotted Mr Elijah Timms, about the istallation behind the ship with its own cabin/work station and tracked vehicle. Hopefully this is part of the Ice Breaker set. Just looked at newer photo's uploaded by eike86 and that tracked vehicle behind the ice breaker has plough on it also, but is a 4 wide vehicle
-
Many thanks eiker86 for posting the pics of these 2 sets. No surprise that it includes a helicopter. This small helicopter must have some power to lift those modules on and off! lol. In the plane set, if it is a an actual set, the cab of the tracked vehicle to my knowledge hasn't been available in orange before so this could be the Summer Exclusive set. On the ice breaker, it looks like there is a skidoo sitting just below the bridge.
-
Hopefully the reason for no sign of the Ice Breaker and/or a summer exclusive yet is that they may be getting an official release at some point during the show so wouldn't be on public display yet!!!
