Your station is looking good so far Cirga88. I like your use of the 'brick' bricks on the façade. I know what you mean about the bays in the Fire Brigade set not being big enough for city sized fire engines. You have done a good job with your Fire Engines giving them a very Australian feel with the red and yellow square checkers. Good luck with creating a realistic aerial appliance.

Lego Ghostbusters HQ - Custom MOC with Lights
scottwb2010 replied to Sergio512's topic in LEGO Licensed
Sergio512 its such a shame yours wasn't chosen, but you can hold your head up high knowing you had 10,000 plus supporters who thought it was worthy of an official build. I think TLG have nailed their colours to the mast with the sets they have chosen so far from the Ideas "finalists". Ideas is as it says on the tin, I guess and Lego designers will get their ideas for future sets from other peoples submitted ideas!- 137 replies

LEGO Ghostbusters headquarters - modular scale
scottwb2010 replied to Mighty Maus's topic in LEGO Licensed
Great Build Mighty Maus. Good look and I hope you reach the 10,000 vote mark. There is lot's of play ability with this creation and wouldn't worry too much about the TLG Ecto 1 fitting in as you have added your own scaled down version to go with the build. I'll certainly vote for this.- 6 replies

I agree with you as I was thinking the same last night!

I can't really see TLG pulling these 2 sets so soon. It more likely that due to internet hype/scare mongering that these sets have run out of stock quicker than expected and TLG have been caught short by this hype, as know doubt they will have more than likely started boxing up the new 60098 Heavy Haul Train, that they don't have enough spare factory stock of Straight and flexi tracks, Switching Tracks and AAA PF battery Box, which are all out of stock at S@H, to produce a run of 60051 and 60052. I can see 3 City Trains being available at the same time with a repeat of when 7938 and 7939 ran for 4 years from June 2010, then a year after release in August 2011, 3677 was released for 16 months, so this could be the same for 60051 and 60052 which were released June 2014!!

Thanks for posting a link to your photo's from legoworld L@go. Someone who set up the display had a sense of humour by including a minifig from the Arctic theme with an ice cream at the coffee kiosk!!!!

The yellow rail mounted digger with the power function trailer was on this display last year and photographed at the same position. The loader crane however wasn't there last year, so maybe could come with the set, but I would have thought it might have had a set number sticker on it's crane boom, so could be a MOC!

Cheers LT. Don't know what will be next though! Hi Kaz! This is the model I tried to base it on, albeit the Scottish Version! Easier to do than the Vema version some services have.

Lego World has been a good source of first pictures in the last few years so not long to wait until this years show from 12-15 Feb. New York Toy Fair is another where a lot of official photo release's happen and it runs 14-17 Feb. I just hope that this new city square doesnt have a crane!!!

Hi ziki! Thanks for your comments. I tried to get the booms lower but it meant either not getting the right bodywork or the booms not being able to rotate. The real version of these Bronto ARP's have the booms sitting high in the travel position. There is a good photo on this site photo 15 of 30 - http://www.bronto.fi/sivu.aspx?taso=1&id=122

Here is the brick built version Had to go with yellow booms as could only get yellow parts to create the 2 knuckles on the elevating mechanism. More photo's here - http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=552091

Cheers LT Thank you 'Firebrickbuilder' Photo's now taken of brock built version and waiting to clear on Brickshelf then I'll post here! Ive tried to keep the boom as simple and realistic to the real version. The booms on an ALP are harder to achieve!

Hi Its been a while since I first posted my origanal Scotsburgh Fire department Appliances photo's http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=75356&hl= so thought it was about time I gave an update. Here are appliances/engines that were introduced through 2014. The first appliance/engine is a Scania/Bronto 28m Allrounder, which is an Aerial Rescue Pump. Basically a combined aerial appliance and Rescue Pump. As detailed its on a Scania crew cab chassis with double rear axle to take the weight and has Bronto 28m boom package. First photo's of this are from my LDD design of the appliance. I have brick built it so photo's to follow. Scania Chassis with water tank Scania Chassis with bodywork Unfortunatley I couldn't work out how to get LDD to allow the boom package to fit on the body, but you'll see it when I post the brick built version. Comments as always welcome.

Hi zeki. I wish TLG would bring out a ladder probably about 1/2 t3/4 as long again to the ones they produce just now. The current ladders are OK when you build a Pump Fire Engine, but when you build an engine that requires longer ladder like a Turntable Ladder truck you have to join 2 ladders together which doesn't always work well and creates a weak point.

Lovely looking Modular Fire Station you have created Tobysan! The Red and White colour scheme make it really stand out. And the architecture makes it fit in perfectly with other Lego modular buildings. Cool photography also.

Nice design zeki. Would like to see a brick built version of this with one less locker between the axles to resemble the multi-star. Look forward to seeing a brick built version of your LLD aswell. Reminds me its about time I updated my Scotsburgh FD with its Scania Bronto Allrounder ARP.

These are nice examples Faefrost. What colour do you think would be the brick work? Medium Dark Flesh, Dark Flesh, Dark Tan or Sand Red?

Just voted. Lets hope this gets passed 10,000 votes and into the review stage. We need more modulars like this.

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
scottwb2010 replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
Hopefully they are going back to the style of builds used at the beginning of this theme! These were proper winter village, whereas this years Santa Workshop kind of detracted from this! -
These 2 sets are probably going to have the most speculation about them until pictures appear!

Well from the listing provided, the second half of 2015 is looking better than the first half IMO, so hopefully photo's will prove this!
