[TC6] Monster Truck
Epic Technic replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That's gonna have a lot of suspension travel! Am I the only one that thinks that having the steering pivot point one stud after the U joint's pivot point is going to cause some problems? -
So my walking dragline is going great and it's massive but to let it hold anything from the boom I need to add counter weight. I made a clip on box out of lego for extra weigh but it uses some non-lego metal balls had had from a magnets set. Is this allowed? Please say yes!!!

This is the best picture of the chassis I could find: http://m.motoring.com.au/reviews/2013/sports/alfa-romeo/4c/alfa-romeo-4c-2013-launch-review-39413# You will need to scroll through the top pictures.

Liebherr L538 Front Loader
Epic Technic replied to Sariel's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hey, Sariel you might not be too happy with the outcome but at least you used Pneumatics which have a Soul unlike linear acurators! I really like it! -
Please ignore if you are not trying to make an accurate model of the real 4C's chassis. why the V4 it should be an Turbo Inline 4 cylinder, double wishbone front suspension, multi link rear suspension But Ackerman, king pin, and caster is a great touch (Nicjasno would be proud!)

I would really like to see an LR motor (Large Race) as a replacement for the buggy motor! -
Some time ago I saw a WIP of a Toyota Prius (yes RM8, another yota) and was fascinated by this project. It was an LPE+buggy motor hybrid but it was not finished and it is still not done. The link is here: So in maybe august I converted my HOG trophy truck chassis into a hybrid with a V2 LPE + an XL motor, but sadly this project was a total fail since there were a lot of gears slipping. So no pics or vid I was wondering if anyone has ever done something similar or is planning to ? Epic Technic

[HELP] Gear Grinding
Epic Technic replied to Sir_Samsalot's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yeah nicjasno is right and also instead of using rubber bands try to use technic beams. such as these rubber bands: Try to lower the top black bevel gear down by half a stud. Hope that helps -
I think they should create the LR (Large Race) motor; it would be the PF reincarnation of the buggy motor. I wish they would do this

I'm back from my skiing vacation and here is the dragline so far (It is NOT finished) : you can see it next to the 42030-Volvo L350F the top and inside: the top back: The Boom: THE BOOM IS AS LONG THE THE 42030: and of course... The underside!: For the spinning of the whole assembly I am using a large turntable. The turntable is very small therefore it does not have much stability so I attached it to a 42007 motorcross wheel!!! I believe that it will be just under minifig scale!!!
