  1. Yes, the old service packs or Xtra polybags are exactly what I was going for. Those would work especially well if Factory does reappear with Stud.io.
  2. Agreed, 60205 isn't marketed properly. Everything seems to have a curve and/or flexi-track. Give us an option to buy just straights. My nephew has two trains, but virtually no straight track until I handed him some from my stash. His parents noted that made the world of difference in playability. As for a parts pack with the plates (6x24 with cutouts), bogies and buffers with magnets, that would go incredibly far towards expanding trains. We don't "need" full carriages or other rolling stock, but the ability to build our own with the basics would be nice. Yeah, I completely agree with the VIDIYO comment. The good idea fairy read the crystal ball all wrong on that debacle. LEGO expects them to have a high end, new iPhone or Samsung to work with, not just any old smartphone. As for making such options like a built in battery with easy to access charge port, we'll have to wait for Powered Up v2 or it's successor probably.
  3. Finely created MOC. Plenty of detail and the implied action is spot on. I like the flock of birds on the rooftop. I gather you have quite a collection, seeing as you have goats and use a planet for the dome.
  4. Nice adaptation of the Gargantos into a Beholder. I had the same thought when I saw the set. By flipping it, you've created the perfect adventurer bane for any D&D dungeon crawl.
  5. There's a reason adventurers tend to be weary around treasure chests. You've captured that perfectly, even if it takes a couple of extra pieces to transform. The chest alone is nice work.
  6. Excellent build. The cabin is wonderful. Does it have an interior? Not required, but would be really cool to see if it did. I will echo the other statements and commend you for your tree design too.
  7. When I saw the Globe, I knew it was the answer to the Death Star II fragility issue. Kudos to recreating the original Death Star exterior in the new style. Now, where's that unshielded exhaust port?
  8. That about sums up my feelings for MOCs. Be nice and provide positive or creative feedback to people. Keep them interested.
  9. They "Could" do better and should, but given the numbers that want a copy, it would be a start. Right now, I believe any steam would be better than nothing.
  10. Nice update. I like the two-toned version with the black stripe. Great use of the new wedge plates on the hood too. Your car looks spot on.
  11. Number 1 for the win. Pick you poison, A4 Mallard, DRG class 01, NYC Hudson, ect. Additionally, a rerelease of the Santa Fe 10020 or the Emerald Night would suffice. Really though, give us cars to go with them!
  12. I prefer a mix. The modular buildings are great options for creating a well designed town, but I tend to branch out into MOCs for other things. It does appear to be far more commercialized now in regards to adult offerings. The flip side is LEGO finally recognizes there is a market for adults and has given us more offerings. As to the social media side, Eurobricks is about as social as I get. I don't follow any Youtube or Flickr or whatever people. Sorry, but not my cup of tea.
  13. Great scene. Love how you built the road and gave it a crumbling/potholed look. The APC cruising over it is perfect.
  14. Sweet APC. As usual, you've got lots of details included. Kudos.
  15. Nice spec ops bird. I like your modular options for weapons or troop platforms.
  16. Good work recreating a classic U-boat. Not many people build old GE's, most stick to EMD, so kudos for going out into the wild. NPU with the reel for the handbrake in lieu of the steering wheel used by most.
  17. @whitepen "Great, another imperialist yankee capitalist pig-dog joins PSIC. Oooh, hot mic. Uh, what I meant to say is welcome to the Great Brick War. Your participation here will be invaluable." the Field Marshal looks at his television crew and gives the cut signal. Just kidding about the PSIC crack. Nice looking squad you've got there. Good start. Nice use of the Volcano explorer figures.
  18. Great rendition of this classic dampflok. Supported!
  19. Interesting designs. Nice use of technic pieces to create the bodies and wings of these aircraft.
  20. Well done. Clean, recognizable, and the implied action is evident.
  21. Thank you. From the information I found, yes, most DDm 915s were used for long-distance, overnight runs. The Minden-Deutz bogies allowed them to run at 160kph. When I did my research, I found a few pictures from the 1970s where a number of them were used to transport cars from the manufacturers. Were excess cars being put to use during the tourist off season, maybe? I tried building a LAAEKS 553 at first, but the middle bogie wasn't happening with the R40 clearances. Maybe someday I'll contemplate a proper night train. I built these to add a little variety to my rolling stock.
  22. The updated map cleans up the concerns with the game being a horrible slog. This should allow for quicker acquisition of territory and then into the battle phase.
  23. Sweet Star Wars rocket hovercraft. I can see the resemblance to the old Katyoucha, combined with the aesthetics of Star Wars. Well done.
  24. I'm guilty of this too. Cheap baseplates are acceptable to me. The price difference for the area being covered is worth it. I do the same. I have a large bin that annual gets donated of off brand pieces. As for off brand purchases, certain train elements (wider radius curves, different switches, wheel sizes, ball bearings) are welcomed. The options they give enables me to have more fun with my creations. In the end, if you're happy with your collection and what you buy, then great. If others want to get nasty with their opinion about what you like, they can shove it up their fourth point of contact.
