[GBW] - Mission - Collaborative - Antarctic Satellite Recovery
Feuer Zug replied to Feuer Zug's topic in The Great Brick War
The primary search team comes across the debris field. Solar panels litter the scene, but the glorious PDSRE operatives recognize the prize. The team gets to work. The first operative begins checking out the main satellite housing. Another refuels their snowmobiles while the final two take up guard duties. -
Great build. I can really see the vault dweller aesthetic in the design. For the small footprint, you managed to capture a good amount of detail.
-
Quite the upgraded hideout. You've retained the feel of the Forestmen with the use of trees made of arches, but enhanced it with new parts. Really feels like a good place to stay low in Sherwood Forest.

[GBW] - Mission - Collaborative - Antarctic Satellite Recovery
Feuer Zug replied to Feuer Zug's topic in The Great Brick War
Thanks. I have a few Star Wars minifigs and the white scheme works well. The snowmobiles are all custom made, based off the various City advent calendar ones. The background for the night scene in the tent is a large piece piece of black poster. In post production, I just ensured it was a uniform variant of black. I tried to do the aurora borealis above the tent in translucent bricks, but it never came out well. I cropped the scene down to only the tent and filled the background to the one shade. -
[GBW] - Mission - Collaborative - Antarctic Satellite Recovery
Feuer Zug replied to Feuer Zug's topic in The Great Brick War
Hunkered down in their tent for the long night, the three sailors eat survival rations and chat. "I hope they get here soon," the older guy sipping his tea remarks. Looking up from his reheated borscht, the other male comments, "Why? This is crazy! I'd have never thought I'd get to camp in Antarctica." "Because we have about 30 hours until the next storm hits," the lady tuning their tracker replies. "It's a balmy -30 degrees Centigrade now, but that storm will drop it to -50. Before the wind chill." "We'll be snowed in for at least a week," the old man says. "We haven't got the food or fuel to stay warm that long." The thought of freezing to death silenced the trio for a while. In the morning, the radio comes to life. The cargo aircraft is inbound. Leaving their tent, they setup the beacons and wave the aircraft in. "Something's wrong with the gear!" the old man shouts from his lookout position. The female sailor studies the gear for a second. "They attached skis!" Taking a second look, the older guy feels she's correct. "Brilliant," he mutters under his breath. [/url] After turning around and getting ready for a rapid departure, the cargo ramp drops down and two snowmobiles and a sled team emerge. The leaders of the search team converse with the sailors. Using a map, they are given the coordinates for the area. On the side, the sled team is told about a second streak that hit off to the side on an inland trajectory. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Rodin runs about, enjoying the feeling of being on the southern continent while Major Brickinov and Sergeant Major Gurkin chat about how the skis did on the landing. Up next: The search -
[GBW] - Mission - Collaborative - Antarctic Satellite Recovery

In bitter cold, the three PDSRE sailors ski across the snow, searching for a suitable spot to land a cargo aircraft. In winter, they have limited daylight. About 10 kilometers from the ship, they find a large, relatively flat and obstruction free area. Getting out their survey equipment, they quickly determine the area is within the minimums for a cargo aircraft to land. They set out their beacons, radio the ship to relay to the aircrew they have the field set out, then they start getting ready for night. Grazi. I felt the 2D feel for this scene would be better. Those peaks are far off and details in snow can be hard to see. Danke. I wanted to have some fun with the small details on this scene. Thusly, the penguins and small chunks of ice floating. Thanks. One is a Friends penguin, but the rest are all there for fun and to add color to the scene. Up next: Nights and flights P.S. If anybody wishes to join in, up to two more people can assist provided it is brick built. I expect to have the cargo aircraft landing up by Sunday. This will allow any Brick of Nation participant to bring a bigger team onboard. I'm going to work up a few snowmobiles to have onboard. Bring your team and equipment and help beat Tosul to the prize. -
[GBW] - Plighia - Cartel: Raiders of the Lost Narcs

Great work on the factory. The amount of internal and external details are wonderful. How the action goes down really adds too. "I want a lawyer!" -
[GBW] - Free Build - Deland Republic - Missile Sale

Great hangar. Nicely detailed. You have tow bars, fire extinguishers, power carts, and a tug for the weapons. Love the Quonset hut feel to the hangar too. -

Thank you. -
Nice office. It definitely has the bland HR feel to it. No lights, or major greebling. I'm surprised the HR monster has geodes for color.

Fright Knights: Night Lord's 'Bat-lista'
Feuer Zug replied to Mr Maniac's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Sweet "Bat-Lista". The bat theme is strong with this creation. From the wing decorations along the arms of the ballista, to the head, you have the perfect themed siege weapon.- 3 replies

@ks6349 In many ways, I agree with you. Too many people want way too much for their LEGO nowadays. That said, if I find a bargain, I jump on it. Last year, I found a tub of 40 pounds of LEGO for $100. I got cash and hauled it away in hours. 99% LEGO, clean, and chock full of minifigs. I have gone to meet people as well and found the "LEGO" is so mixed with knock offs that it wasn't worth my time. Some lots have been a deal, but require sorting and cleaning. I don't mind that because it can be therapeutic for me.

Don't count your chickens before this egg hatches. The vote might not matter in the end.

While on patrol off the southwest coast of South Tahopan, the crew of a PDSRE Type-138 intelligence trawler observes a strange streak across the sky. The fiery orange trail splits apart, showering debris to the south. Plotting the potential impact point, they retask themselves to investigate. Soon after, official orders come down. The nation of Tosul lost control of a secret satellite and it crashed into Antarctica. Everybody knows about the satellite and the race is on. Word quickly gets out that Tosul is deploying a rapid reaction force. The captain pushes the engines up to flank speed. His new orders have his crew setting up a landing zone near the coast of Antarctica. From there, a cargo aircraft will bring in a team and supplies. Thanking the ocean deities for calm seas and fair weather, Lieutenant Commander Yuri Sokolov pulls into a sheltered inlet. Quickly, they inflate one of the rafts stowed on the stern of the ship. Three crew members, all bundled up against the cold, load up and go ashore. Up next: The search for a suitable landing zone.

[Review] Minifigcat Modular Gear Series
Feuer Zug replied to TheBeeze's topic in The Military Section
Nice additions. I can see the allure of modularity for those striving for the "Spec Ops" and modern look. I'm pleased enough with the vests I got from Minifigcat. Those alone add a lot to the look of my forces. -
I've found a tooth before. Hair is expected. Loose change is appreciated (had one bulk lot that had about three euros in it, along with five Deutsche Marks. Way past the turn in date though.) My marble collection is fair sized too. Every year or so, I donate a decent sized bin of clone bricks to a local charity. A couple of spiders and some millipedes too.

A PDSRE intel trawler with specialized cold-weather gear is in the vicinity of the downed recon satellite. They have been retasked with the glorious undertaking of recovering the lost satellite. We will happily work with other nations in the name of international cooperation. A Tosul Satellite made a rough re-entry through the atmosphere and landed in Antarctica. The recovery beacon was activated and it is sending off signal that has been picked up by a number of nations. The Brick of Nations believes this satellite was a weaponized creation that will show Tosul broke a treaty they signed several years ago about putting weapons in space. Mission: Send a recovery team to get the satellite as part of a BON Team. Will need to be coordinated with any other nations that sign up. Risk of engagement is high as Tosul will be rushing to recover this satellite as well. Up to 3 Players may register to participate. Builds must connect with everyone who signs up. Minimum build: 32x32 ALL BUILDS DUE BY 8/29/22 Ineligible for digital builds.

Gorgeous trio of trams. The level of detail in them is astonishing.

Great work on this lighthouse. It has lots of details and the water is perfect. Instead of trying to have the picture hosted on Eurobricks, I suggest you have it on a site like Flickr. Give the thread I linked below a look. It should assist you with posting larger and higher resolution photos.
-
Well done. I like how you managed to cram all the detail work and people in.
-
Cool portal. I really like the scissor lift on the right, your use of the old Exo-Force pieces, and then the wiring really makes it work.
-
Nice work. The feline styled heads made me think of Puss in Boots from the Shrek series. The collectable minifig king works great for a Swiss guard.
-
Good work. I can see them across the battlefield from my old Vampire Counts made from a lot of skeletons and zombie minfigs.

[GBW] - Free Build - PDSRE - Naval armaments sale

Thanks. Naval weapons often make big booms.
