  1. Welcome to Eurobrick 0815Tanaka. Brilliant recreation of the iconic Köf II. Quite the first post. Your use of the printed bricks adds to the build. Having a minifig head only in the cab isn't new either. Many of us have had to sacrifice due to space. As for the Wolfpack raiding the train, wonderful.
  2. Great work printing the valve gear. Having functional and correct details like this really are the frosting on such a splendid work.
  3. Great reservist base. Small, yet has the basics. Don't worry about not having the funds to build it big. My army is comprised of old Toy Story figures that I've acquired over the years. Looks like you're starting off with a good, and well equipped unit.
  4. Wonderful build of the classic inter-war period. Love putting the mother-in-law in the boot.
  5. Beast of a mecha. Great work on the details. All the tubing, hoses, and greebling make it pop. The last picture has me thinking of power drills, not small weapons after seeing it hefting the rotary cannon. The ingots in the base are a nice touch.
  6. Interesting design work and build. Since you used 10497 for the build, the colors are perfect. The cockpit does appear rather cramped. Hope it's not a long trip to the Oort Cloud from the base.
  7. Probably died a quiet death. Lighting is a niche product, almost like trains. Few people really are interested, and those that are, often look to 3rd party vendors for solutions. Most sets with lighting are the big ones. Modulars, BTTF DeLorean, things like that.
  8. Nice "livestock" wagon. The 6-wide does look small compared to your coffin cars. The list of possible cars is great. Maybe have the witches' cauldron be the dining car? Or have the cauldrons be like the old style cement cars. Pumpkin would be great for a baggage or goods van.
  9. Nice non-descript office building. Using the original styled doors as windows is a nice touch. The various floors you included give a good feel for the activities inside the building. One thing I noted, the floors seem to extend to where the windows and framing are on the level below. Interesting design for the massive array of security cameras. I am surprised they don't have a fully-armed rapid reaction force internal to the building. The black SUV for the security teams are a good backup though.
  10. Welcome to Eurobricks. This is a great first post. Your ÖBB class 399 dampflok is well designed. I would love to see the final product running on the rails.
  11. I have a few sets sealed to remind me of places I got them, but not many. The Billund Airport is one such set. Like @MAB, I got a the maximum allowed. Built one, saved one, and not sure what I'm going to do with the third. I might have the shelf above a small closet with unopened sets.
  12. Masterful. You basically created the CP 180 locomotive, but did it in a way that gives it the abandoned appearance. I love how you covered up the drivers with flowers to hide the running gear. Having the boiler door open and plant life emerging from the cab really give it the proper feel. Even the creative mix (and lack of) rails leading to the mainline add to the scene. I've seen similar scenes across the continent (mostly in eastern Europe).
  13. Nice work with the tsunami wave. The color shift is well executed. Your use of collectable minifigs to represent the animals is hilarious. Too bad Noah didn't save the wild hot dogs.
  14. The PDSRE will assist in Gorkonnam to contain the enemy infiltrators. Mission Type: Guard Eligible to: KLR Intel suggests PSIC Forces are slipping into the country in an effort to win the hearts and minds of the population. Construct checkpoints in urban or rural areas to facilitate the search of incoming and outgoing vehicles. Requirements: minimum size 32x32 Pays: 18 Brick Bucks Expiry Period from Signup: 3 weeks (31 Oct)
  15. Another top notch MOC. I doubt many of the Marines would be smiling as they waded ashore by that point in the Pacific. Overall, fantastic attention to detail at all levels.
  16. The freeky clown tender is great, and I adore the casket themed carriages. You've got a great idea going here.
  17. Danke. Yes, it would be the QF 17- pounder. I know the 6-pounder was inadequate for WW II armoured vehicles, but the Firefly was equipped with the 17-pounder. I wasn't aware of the shortcomings of the gun, but given the hull design and age of this tank, maybe it's the design they found out they needed more weight on the turret.
  18. I like your creepy locomotive. The skull front with eyes is definitely a masterpiece. Having ribs along the boiler jacketing adds to the effect. Will there be a tender to go along with this vile monstrosity?
  19. Under the blazing sun, a group of tribal fighters waits for the gold shipment to pass. Their position is dug in and well camouflaged. The captain leading the gold movement surveys the terrain from the turret of the antiquated tank he'd been allocated. Recent raids had proven the civilian contractors were incapable of defending the shipment and his unit had been called in. The tank's armour and 17-pounder gun gave him confidence that he would succeed. The tribal bandits didn't poses anything bigger than a heavy machine gun. BOOM! The tribal forces detonate an improvised explosive device that disables the tank and kills the exposed captain. Quickly, the camo netting is pulled off the recently acquired dual 40mm cannons. A PDSRE advisor operates the repurposed anti-aircraft weapon, shredding the lightly armoured IFV bringing up the rear of the convoy. Simultaneously, the other fighters open fire, eliminating all threats before they react. Black smoke billows out the ruined IFV as the tribal forces move forward to secure the cargo of gold. By limiting their fire against the lorry, they are able to drive it off while their team salvages anything they can from the battlefield. Yes, they moved the cannon out too.
  20. If you've got the budget, https://www.brickmania.com/ is one of the best options out there for the minfigures you're looking for. They have the naval ground crew in their minifig offerings. There are probably other vendors as well, but I've seen Brick Mania's works at a few shows and remember the name.
  21. Red dragons and Castle Ravenloft.
  22. I think we're going to have to differ on opinions heavily here. First, LEGO has made considerable strides to become more diverse lately. Yes, much of the lack of diversity has come due to Hollywood preferring Caucasian people as leading actors in many films. Most of the skin tones have come from licensed themes. Yes, I admit it appears most tan or darker skin tones appear in more expensive sets. I remember buying a load of the Captain Marvel polybag because it came with the Samuel L. Jackson "Nick Fury" minifig just to have the diversity option (No, I don't wear an eye patch). You mentioned a diversity pack that doesn't cost as much as the foosball table. If you need options, Pick A Brick is available. I've used it often of recent to get more options.
  23. Agreed, but we'll see. This is rather unexpected, yet a great opportunity. I remember building scenery as a teen from my LEGO and using minifigs are the player characters. I can see some serious Bionicle elements being used in the contest. Some of the best monsters in LEGO I've encountered are built from them. Sadly, I don't think the barbarian riding a dead deamon down a mountainside would make for a great set to sell, but it's one of the most memorable fights I've been a part of.
  24. Wonderful work and thank you for sharing the story. I see many great techniques used in creating this masterpiece. The patches of cloth for roof repairs is particularly good.
  25. Wonderful design. Bipedal mode alone is great, with all the articulation. You even managed to cover up or use the colors of the ball joints to create a harmonious scheme. The add-on package for the extra appendages is perfect. It runs you down over rough terrain and still has the ability to grapple you or wield tools/weapons.
