Nice vignette. The details you crammed into the small base work well. I like the minifig tree trunk part used for the tree base, NPU!

[MOC] Haunted A-Frame Cabin | Monster Fighters tribute

Great spooky mod to your A-frame. Plenty of attention to detail to get the right vibe. Nice use of the ancient car base. It works well. -
BREAKING: The Orient Express Train approved in LEGO Ideas
Feuer Zug replied to koraldon's topic in LEGO Train Tech
We, the train fanatics, hope against hope for a miracle (especially after the Hogwart's Express). If LEGO does this right, they have a chance to give another wind to the AFOL train community and show we aren't the red headed step-child they pretend doesn't exist. -
BREAKING: The Orient Express Train approved in LEGO Ideas
Feuer Zug replied to koraldon's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Wow! First the Studgate second chance, and now a real option at a classic steam train. The Orient Express model as is, is a gorgeous recreation of the fabled train. As mentioned, I hope this is a scale compatible with LEGO track. The carriage is 10-wide, so it might turn into another Hogwart's Express display piece. That would border on criminal. Having instructions / add on pack to motorize it would be frosting on this cake. The topper would be the option for extra cars (sleeper?) -
[GBW] - Mission - PDSRE - Gorkonnam Checkpoint
Feuer Zug replied to Feuer Zug's topic in The Great Brick War
Danke. It is modeled on my memories of Checkpoint Charlie. I opted to forego the sandbags and big sign over the shack. It allowed me to add the boom gates for access control. Thanks. By adding in those small bits, it adds more life to the scene. As for the street, the right side is heavily modified sets that were turned into modular buildings. One is the original Sanctum Sanctorum, and the other is a couple of Friends townhouses. The ones on the right are all fresh builds (with the pizza parlor coming from the leftover backside of Sanctum Sanctorum). The right side buildings are a Potemkin Village setup for this scene. -

Great transition between seasons. In a way, the two models together is almost better in my opinion. -

Quite the weapon the soldier is holding. NPU on the streetlight topper. -

Wicked dieselpunk aircraft. -
Another superb mecha. The attention to details, combined with making it completely fit the classic space theme is spot on. All we're missing is a cameo by Benny, the assumed pilot of the mecha.

Brilliant work. Absolutely a great way to get back into the pirates. Your Port Royale scene has everything it needs, but isn't overdone at all. My hat is off to you.

With smuggling on the rise, Gorkonnam forces request assistance in rapidly building and deploying checkpoints in urban areas. The PDSRE has exactly such a model designed and a team helps construct them where required. This checkpoint has just been installed at the outskirts of a major rural / urban interface. Local forces work with an advisor to begin the learning and training process. Utilizing methods learned at the PDSRE border and airports, the Master Sergeant training the Gorkonnam forces shows them how to run an efficient and friendly checkpoint. A cordial greeting and quick check of their papers is often enough. Traffic flows fairly quickly, with little queuing. The master sergeant quickly becomes suspicious of the farmer bringing his pumpkins to market. Avoiding eye contact, the farmer stammers about his destination and fumbles with his papers. "Search it!" the sergeant barks. While holding the farmer, a Gorkonnam soldier jumps in the bed of the truck and begins rooting through the pumpkins. He doesn't have to get far to find more than the farmer claimed to be hauling. "Weapons!" a gleeful soldier cries, holding up a mortar round and a sub-machine gun. The PDSRE advisor slams the farmer to the pavement to arrest him. Meanwhile the rest of the soldier are on watch. One of them notices a man hanging out near the fire hydrant, trying to watch them inconspicuously.

[GBW] - Mission - Roskilde - Goodwill
Feuer Zug replied to Scorcher43's topic in The Great Brick War
Field expedient plow, I like it. While not great on the small details, the story does help. Good build. Better lighting would help with the photos. I know, my lighting was trash when I began too. -
We're having a similar discussion in the Military forum presently. Please review the linked thread for ideas. Some of the vendors offer more than naval figures and options. Also, if you're interested in doing military related builds, check of The Great Brick War. Hope this helps - cheers https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/192276-options-for-us-navynaval-aviation-figs/

Options for US Navy/Naval Aviation figs?
Feuer Zug replied to jonwil's topic in The Military Section
Nice options for uniforms. The khakis will do well for officers. I like your admiral design too. Might be harder to source the parts, but it will look splendid. The helmet option works well. I snagged a bunch of the oxygen masks at one point. Have you considered this minfig for a pilot? https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?M=sw0884#T=P The color is more in line with the real flight suit. -
Gorgeous 12v homage to 7777 and the DB Class 23. You covered some interesting concepts in the build. Thanks for sharing you 12v works.

Wonderful build. It highlights the reality of the changing of the seasons perfectly.

It wasn't just me that figured that out? Shocking! Just kidding. What did they expect with the Pound to Euro exchange rate. When I moved to the continent, my rewards points racked up quickly. Every time I returned to Newcastle via ferry, I managed to snag a few sets on my points and about empty my balance. As said, I didn't do it much, but I know a few people that bought sets by the pallet that did.
-
The $100 reward has been at 13,000 points ever since they went to the new calculation. I do miss being able to buy LEGO in one nation and redeem the VIP points in another for enhanced point power. Alas, it all came about because I got a few extra pounds/Euros off by "gaming" the points system by doing it maybe three times in total.

I believe the tribal forces stole those 20 Brick Bucks. They will further their efforts mightily with their questionably gotten gains! -
[GBW] - Gun for hire - Sjørdfjordmoen - The Yeti
Feuer Zug replied to firearmsfan's topic in The Great Brick War
Hide the baseplates would be my suggestion. Or at least put enough stuff on the baseplates so that you can't really tell. Tiles work well, or build with plates to create the floor. For this build, a rougher texture for the walls and floor would have worked well as an underground hideout. Even more creative, yet piece intensive, would be to build the floor out of bricks turned sideways, then use bricks with studs on the side to connect the various people, furniture, and other items. An example or sorts of the technique can be found here:https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/115569-navy-seabee/ I used the sides of bricks to create the base for my Seabee model and as a means to put text with it. Many people do similar for MILS module roads. For the size, go bigger if you can. The edges of pictures can leave a lot out. If the minimum is 32x32 for a build, I tend to go 40x40 or larger to ensure what I show in the picture fits the requirements. While this may not be possible with your options, at least ensure we see the full 32x32 baseplate. Use all of it for the build and show it. -
Sorry for the late reply. I only noticed this when going back to check activity. Yes, I do commissions. Please check your inbox.

Absolutely brilliant! Your massive diorama hearkens back to the classic days of LEGO that in many ways, I miss. So many sets are included, as well as plenty of custom creations that gives your town the proper feel. I liked seeing the classic space men hanging around too.

Pod racing to a new level! Great work on the engines. The petals and exhaust area are well constructed.
